Mission The Grand Tour (ALL Light-side Enclaves and Temples)

Tilon Quill

Don't worry kid it's not real
The game is simple, and subconsciously was probably inspired by the list made by Kitter Bitters Kitter Bitters and the list made by Matsu Ike Matsu Ike :
  • When you're tagged, either A) reply with the short info below or B) give some notice that the Wake of Balmorra finds your enclave or temple abandoned or destroyed (or just doesn't find it at all).
  • You can jump in with options A or B on behalf of your enclave(s) or temple(s) AT ANY TIME regardless of whether I've tagged you already. The bigger the Grand Tour, the better.
  • Resources could include lightsaber crystals, training tools, holocrons, gear, weapons, artifacts, consumables, maps, money, or more specific things like local specialities.
  • Consider using just a few key words — we're not looking for anything as heavy as a Codex sub. If you're going to go ham, do it in the 'striking memory' part.
  • With cargo and passengers accumulated, I'll tag a few more enclaves and temples.
Enclave/temple name:
Primary tradition(s): Jedi, Witch, Matukai, Fallanassi, etc.

THIS IS A POSTING GAME, NOT A NARRATIVE THREAD. VIGNETTES ARE WELCOME BUT ENTIRELY SECONDARY.

The good ship Wake of Balmorra touches down at your temple or enclave. In the aftermath of Coruscant's fall, it's on a mission to connect with as many as possible, spur trade of knowledge and resources, place students and refugees, and establish long-term connections.

FIRST STOP
Enclave/temple name: Jend-Ro Quill's house, Ferryman's Reach, Pagodon
Primary tradition(s): Order of the Selab
Signature skills: Memory transfer, Suerton probability manipulation
Resources wanted: None, thank you
Resources offered: Training tools
Accepting junior students: No
Accepting senior students: No
Sending junior students: No
Sending senior students: No
Other passengers: Jend-Ro Quill Jend-Ro Quill , who's joining his son on this tour
Striking memory: A ravinak lunging from beneath the ice fields to claim an unlucky starfighter, and a desperate (successful) rescue operation for the pilot under the ice. Excellent father/son bonding.

And a touch of the blues
Enclave/temple name: Kattadan Jedi Enclave
Primary tradition(s): Jedi, Warden of the Sky, Blue Coral Diver Witch
Signature skills: Force Resistance, Instinctive Astrogation, Force Piloting, Tech Usage, Force power creation
Resources wanted: Hyperspace routes, Dark Side/Sith Artifacts
Resources offered: Starships, Starship repair, hyperspace maps, specialty technology
Accepting junior students: Yes
Accepting senior students: Yes
Sending junior students: Yes
Sending senior students: Yes
Other passengers: Vodet Vodet who will be making connections for the Enclave
Striking memory: Aside from the tall glass window structure that is the Temple within the coastal community of Tidehome, the top floor of the Temple does not have a typical Jedi Council, instead it has a mixed bag of Jedi Navigators and Non-Force Sensitive Explorers, the room is filled with a large holographic display of a constantly updating Galaxy Map, demonstrating hyperspace routes and Paths. Jedi compasses, and even the occasional Sith Wayfinder are found in this room. There are plenty of ports for the variety of astromech and pilot droids the galaxy has.

For those who prefer to seek what is closer to the ground, rooms of Sentinels, and Consular/Sentinels working on blending the various teachings of the Force to master new techniques for use against the dark side. There is a large vault that is guarded by a pair of armored Selkath.

For RP Sake

As the good ship Wake of Balmorra arrives in Kattadan space, she is greeted by a Mon Calamari MC-65 Cruiser, flanked by a pair of Liberator II-class cruisers. E-Wing fighters, typical of Kattadan over the X-Wing were dispatched to greet the vessel. Explorer vessels were coming and going as a regular occurrence, many created by Starchaser Enterprises or Silk Holdings Limited. As the Wake enters Kattadan atmosphere, V-Wing airspeeders would meet the vessel to bring it to either its atmospheric holding location, or to its landing position.

As they enter the town of Tidehome before entering the official grounds.

Enclave/temple name: Barab-Ek; a planetoid previously towards the southern end of the galaxy, but recently catapulted just west of Alliance space by the planeshift
Primary tradition(s): Jedi/the Guardians of Barab, Barabel students trained by Master Kornon
Signature skills: Sense for deception similar to the Order of Shasa's, Tapas, tracking and hunting via the Force and otherwise, close combat using Barab ore knives
Resources wanted: High technology, starships
Resources offered: High quality durable woven fabrics, hunting equipment; Barab ore knives, to the few who prove themselves as incorruptible as Barab-Ek's guardians
Accepting junior students: No
Accepting senior students: No
Sending junior students: No
Sending senior students: Yes
Other passengers: Kornon joins the party briefly, before returning to his duties with the Lightsworn on Atrisia. One of the guardians, Tharen, accompanies Kornon, but stays aboard the Wake for the rest of the journey to learn from other enclaves. Tharen is tough, vigilant, and respectful.
Striking memory: The city itself -- a colony of close to 5000, who over the course of four decades were able to shape an otherwise barren planetoid into a thriving environment, a white-walled citadel gleaming at its center, built from the guts of the original colony ship. Everything is crafted by hand; the city is no different.

Don't worry kid it's not real
The Wake of Balmorra briefly goes back and forth between Barab-Ek's Guardians of Barab and the Jedi, Wardens of the Sky, and Witches who call the Kattadan Enclave home.
  • Barabel senior students transfer to Kattada, a tropical paradise with amazing fishing for the carnivorously inclined. The route between Barab-Ek and Kattada proves to be an efficient one thanks to instinctive astrogation from the Kattadans and Captain Quill, meeting the Enclave's need for additional hyperspace routes.
  • Kattadan senior students transfer to Barab-Ek, bringing starship technology and small starships to meet local needs. Some Kattadan junior and senior students remain aboard. The junior students are set up to share the crew quarters under the supervision and care of the senior students and Captain Quill's B-1 translator battle droids, Daella and Diana.
  • Persistent passengers (in cargo hold cots) now include the hermit Jend-Ro Quill of Pagodon, Master Vodet Vodet of Kattada, and Tharen, a Guardian of Barab.
  • The Wake of Balmorra subsequently puts in at Ahto City on Manaan to visit the Order of Shasa, with whom Captain Quill lived for years. A couple of Kattadan students remain with the Shasans and a few Selkath Shasan junior and senior trainees come aboard. They get on very well with the Kattadans (waterworlds) and with the Barabels (similar skillsets and ethos).
  • The ship's cargo now includes Pagodon's Force training tools (used by the students aboard), Kattadan star maps and technology, Barab-Ek's woven fabrics and hunting gear, and Selkath diving gear and underwater-use personal technology. (The Kattadans are fans of that stuff but need to share.)
  • Future planned or hoped-for stops are slated to include the Jedi Temple of Monastery ( Mishel Mishel ), the New Cov Jedi Temple ( Valery Noble Valery Noble ), Shiraya's Sanctuary on Naboo ( Briana Sal-Soren Briana Sal-Soren ) and the Temple of Solace on Sedesia ( Darth Callidus Darth Callidus ).

A closer look at the Wake of Balmorra's visit to Manaan:

Enclave/temple name: Enclave of the Order of Shasa, Ahto City, Manaan
Primary tradition(s): Order of Shasa
Signature skills: Perceiving deception, Progenitor's Call (channelling weird whalesong to interrupt focus or strengthen oneself), Waveform (enhanced Force pushes and waves, especially in water), fira blade combat, underwater combat
Resources wanted: Diplomatic support
Resources offered: Waterproofed personal equipment and diving gear
Accepting junior students: No
Accepting senior students: Yes
Sending junior students: Yes
Sending senior students: Yes
Other passengers: No
Striking memory: While supervised by Shasan adepts, expedition members were able to use deep-sea diving gear or a submersible to meet a giant, sapient firaxa whale-shark, the Progenitor. She is not the original Progenitor, who was murdered during the Sith invasion of Manaan, but she took up this mantle about sixty years ago and was relocated from another world with a major Selkath population and kolto production.

Tilon Quill

Don't worry kid it's not real
Enclave/temple name: Temple of the Beatific Razor, Hundred Hundred Hab, Kyrikal System
Primary tradition(s): Temple of the Beatific Razor
Signature skills: Self-healing, anti-rejection for cybernetics, stealth/silence
Resources wanted: Financial and medical support for the refugee community of Hundred Hundred Hab.
Resources offered: Recent, up-to-date nav data for certain parts of Sith territory.
Accepting junior students: No
Accepting senior students: Yes, and a couple of Guardians of Barab stuck around to learn more about these dogged champions of their people's freedom from exploitation.
Sending junior students: No
Sending senior students: No
Other passengers: Gurror Shrei, a cyborg Swokes Swokes survivalist who saved Tilon's life during the refugee run from Makem Te.
Striking memory: Deep in a sandstone desert temple on the space station, a few senior students and other passengers were permitted to witness a dangerous and bloody ritual to augment Beatific Razor practitioners' self-healing powers. Everyone who visited Hundred Hundred Hab - a three-kilometre-wide concentric habitat ring - will remember walking in the desert with outer space not far above their heads and more desert beyond it.

Enclave/temple name: [REDACTED], Kyrikal system
Primary tradition(s): Fallanassi, Ithorian nature priests
Signature skills: Illusion, plant growth
Resources wanted: Privacy
Resources offered: Fresh produce
Accepting junior students: No
Accepting senior students: Yes, and an Order of Shasa adept and a Kattadan Witch student stuck around to learn more about these pacifist traditions.
Sending junior students: No
Sending senior students: No
Other passengers: No
Striking memory: All aboard will remember how an unusual mist obscured all view from the ship, making it impossible to know where this location was, even which of Kyrikal's moons they visited. Even Captain Quill doesn't know; his hands moved on the controls by themselves, under faraway Fallanassi influence, and his eyes were closed. The location was a cave network turned into a seed bank, home to reclusive pacifists, a striking contrast to the recent visit to the Beatific Razor elsewhere in the system. Everyone aboard will remember the food.

SUCCESSFUL PORTS OF CALL SO FAR: Pagodon, Barab, Kattada, Manaan, Kyrikal (x2)

MORE PROSPECTIVE PORTS OF CALL: Enclave of Magick and the Force, Dathomir ( Dreidi Xeraic Dreidi Xeraic ), Jedi Enclave of Eadu ( Joran Olan Joran Olan / grammaticus grammaticus ), Lidom Yilvar, Cathar ( Jonyna Si Jonyna Si ), Lothal Jedi Temple ( Jalen Kai'el Jalen Kai'el ) - see top of thread for how to participate if desired

Enclave/temple name: Outer Rim Judge Office
Primary tradition(s): Outer Rim Judges
Signature skills: Pistol, Rifle work, Force barriers, Force tracking
Resources wanted: Jobs, starships, spare parts
Resources offered: Blaster pistols, loose set of morals
Accepting junior students: No
Accepting senior students: Yes
Sending junior students: No
Sending senior students: Yes
Other passengers: An older woman, named Constance, who was park human on her grandfather’s side, and possibly part Rodian on her mother’s side, joins the Wake of Balmorra, equipped like a gunfighter, with a bag that unfolds into more than one type of gun
Striking memory: Protectors of an organization long lost, the Judges of the Outer Rim still work their magic from the planet Terminus. Accepting jobs to protect small settlements along the Outer Rim and Galactic Fringe. The structure found in Terminus is faux-wood painted, and would be mistaken for a Cantina if someone wasn’t looking for it including the scale logo, or looking in the Force.

Tilon Quill

Don't worry kid it's not real
The Outer Rim Judges' senior students come along at a critical time. A couple of Order of Shasa students and a Barabel stick around in their place, which would have left the ship with few senior students.

Gurror Shrei, the Swokes Swokes cyborg survivalist who was bored stiff on the last visit, is extremely interested in the guns and decides to linger with the Judges as well. The role he's played at Hundred Hundred Hab in his people's defense is similar. He sticks around to learn the Judges' practices and employ Beatific Razor training methods, to mutual benefit. If this winds up extending the Judges' presence to part of the Kyrikal system in old Levantine space, interesting.

The ship's cargo now includes Pagodon's Force training tools (used by the students aboard), Kattadan star maps and technology, Barab-Ek's woven fabrics and hunting gear, Selkath diving gear and underwater-use personal technology, Beatific Razor nav data (sent back to Kattada), fresh produce, and Judge blaster pistols.

SUCCESSFUL PORTS OF CALL SO FAR: Pagodon, Barab, Kattada, Manaan, Kyrikal (x2), Terminus, ranging back and forth around the galactic southeast and southwest.

Jared Starchaser Jared Starchaser

Enclave/temple name: The Levant Watchtower
Primary tradition(s): Levantine Sentries
Signature skills: Force Stealth, Force Resistance, Illusions/White Current,
Resources wanted: Starmaps, Galactic Technology, various artifacts and texts
Resources offered: Stealth technology, Path engine coordinates, mediation
Accepting junior students: Yes
Accepting senior students: Yes
Sending junior students: No
Sending senior students: Yes
Other passengers: Several of the Sentries will be hopping on the Wake of Balmorra in order to get to parts further in, or out of the Levantine Spur, several will pick up trips to head to other Enclaves and Temples to further their study. Most are secretive, not in the way of a spy, but a secret master of the Arcane. Dark robes, face masks, hoods, are the order for the students. They’ll talk in generalizations but not in specifics of their tradition, the Levantine worlds, and the Tingel arm as a whole.
Striking memory: As the Wake arrives, a wormhole opens into the system, and out flies a few Corellian tankers and corvettes, all lead by a distinct and well storied YT-2000 the Tachyon Rising. Whether by some advanced Force skills passed onto Coren Starchaser from the ghost of Jorus Merrill, or happenstance, the wormhole opened. The freighter would tip its wing and help lead the ships and the Wake to the location of the Watchtower. As the wormholes only had a few moments, more freighters and a light carrier took off from the surface, heading to the wormhole behind the Rising.

The Wake of Balmorra was making waves. Flying from several locations well known to Starchaser Enterprises, including Kattada and Kyrikal, the ship grabbed the attention of acting CEO Kaia Starchaser. She dispatched personally in the Wandering Star, the Seeker-class shuttle that she used as her mobile home and exploration vessel. Linking up to the Wake she contacted to request the trade routes be uploaded to Ally.

Should the Wake agree, Starchaser Enterprises would begin sending Remora-class transports and various other ships at their disposal to begin traveling between these bastions of the light side, to transport students, and needed material from one to another.

Through critical mass of common interest, you have unlocked COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE.

COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE: Survival
Barab-Ek - Kyrikal - Terminus - Dathomir

COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE: Exploration
Pagodon - Kattada - Kyrikal - Shasa - Vonnuvi

COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE: Covert Operations
Jadeite - Terminus - Kyrikal x2

A few senior students or instructors aligned with each community of practice are now aboard.

  • At the Levant Watchtower back in the Kyrikal system, Levantine mediators agree to assist the Selkath on Manaan. The very last Kattadan senior student and all the junior Kattadans take berths here at the Watchtower, having had a MOST educational sojourn. Barab-Ek's woven fabrics and Shasan technology are welcome here for low-profile survival and exploration gear.
  • At the Jadeite Retreat, there is great common ground with the Levantine Sentries, and several Levantine senior students remain here.
  • Kaia Starchaser Kaia Starchaser has been given access to the collected nav data and has continued connecting the visited enclaves.
  • The junior and senior Order of Shasa students get on extremely well with the Vonnuvi Enclave and remain here, trusting that the herdship's wanderings will eventually bring them to Manaan for a warm welcome. The Wake of Balmorra shares the collected nav data and the Kattadan star maps, the Judges' blaster pistols, and the Barabels' hunting gear, as well as offering the installation of a Levantine cloaking device to protect the herdship. Kattada's port can be a useful and safe fuel depot waypoint for the herdship.
  • The senior students of the Outer Rim Judges find Dathomir's enclave fascinating on multiple levels and choose to remain, as do some of the senior students from Vonnuvi, very interested in environmental balance and reclamation.
The ship's cargo now includes Pagodon's Force training tools (used by the students aboard), Ithorian cuisine, Levantine Path Engine technology, and Vonnuvi medical supplies and repair materials.

The cargo holds' simple cots and the few passenger berths are currently home to several long-term passengers, as well as Jadeite and Levantine senior students and the junior and senior students from the Vonnuvi Enclave. The Padawans running around wide-eyed and learning strange things with great seriousness are no longer the Kattadans, they're from Vonnuvi.

SUCCESSFUL PORTS OF CALL SO FAR: Pagodon, Barab, Kattada, Manaan, Kyrikal (x3), Terminus, Jadeite Retreat, Vonnuvi Herdship, Dathomir

Of the non-student passengers, Amani Serys Amani Serys has visited one new enclave so far (Dathomir), Gurror Shrei visited two before disembarking, the Judge Constance has visited four, Tharen has seen eight, Master Vodet Vodet has seen nine, and Levantine Sentries have generally seen two or three that are new to them.

Each new enclave enhances the ship's ability to connect with more. Additional prospective ports of call now include the
Prime Jedi Conclave on Koboh ( Vilka Keldra Vilka Keldra ), the Shadow Temple on Kashyyyk if authorized ( Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor ), the Jedi Enclave of Deneba ( WolfMortum WolfMortum ) and the Socorran Jedi Enclave ( Julius Sedaire Julius Sedaire ) — see top of thread for ways to participate if desired

It’s just tequila and the beach
Not that she was called upon to provide a place to visit, but there were Witches all over. The Arch Witch known as Token was hearing from her own Witches on Kattada and Kyrikal, that a friend of hers, one Tilon Quill Tilon Quill was taking a ship and spreading what appeared to be good cheer and camaraderie amongst light side groups. As perhaps one of the most powerful Witches in the galaxy, even if she was more benevolent, she had a lot of pull in the galaxy. Currently she was aboard her personal shuttle the Nautilos in a meditative state.

She would be pushing the image of a map into Tilon, and probably Jend-Ro’s mind as well. There were several planets alighting in the map. Two that were already visited, of Kattada and Kyrikal, but also Pamarthe, Chandrilla, Arda, Naboo… Dathomir. All places where the Blue Corals of Dathomir were spread, extending the Blue Coral Divers Clan, or as they were known galactically now, for the ones not on Dathomir, the Scattered Reef Clan.

Should the Wake of Balmorra visit one of the sites, they’d be greeted kindly, by witches of several species, from Dathomiri, to Zabrak, Human, Blubreen, and some of the more amphibious species of the galaxy. Students would be welcome to join the Clan to learn some of their secrets. The Witches were open to travel on the Wake, aside from the ones on Dathomir.

The Witches held several ranks, from Initiates, to Spellweavers, and Elders. With rolls of Farseekers, the navigators, both of star and sea, the crafters, who were specialists of imbuement and creating material, and the several groups of warriors, from the Storms, masters of lightning spells, to the Icebrands, masters of the cyrokinetic magick. All of the Witches were trained in the basics of what can only be called water bending, altering the environment, protection and healing, and most importantly the crafting and imbuement of items.

The Wake would pick up several scrolls that explained certain low-Knight level spells, and the imbuement of common stones to have a variety of effects when cracked, and of note, several gems that are produced by Blue Corals, similar to a Lambent Crystal, able to be used in a lightsaber as a focusing crystal, granting the using a bit of extra bonus with Alter Weather, and forming a blue blade that appears to ripple and flow in its colors. An elder would approach Tilon personally and hand an abridged (the deeper secrets of the Clan removed) copy of the Book of Tides.

Having been most recently at the Enclave on Dathomir, it was easy for the expedition to take up the invitation to visit the Blue Coral Divers/Scattered Reef Clan presence on that same world. This was a particularly enriching visit that saw strong connections between the Vonnuvi people and the locals on the sprawling subject of the environment. Tilon read the Book of Tides gratefully, found virtually all of it beyond him, and passed it on to his father for long-term inclusion in the secret multispecies Selabite archive on Pagodon.

More seriously, after leaving Dathomir, they were able to help some witches escape difficult circumstances on Chandrila, which was coming under Imperial attack and was conquered shortly thereafter. This left the mood sombre aboard ship, and filled the cargo holds to bursting. Coordinating with friends, the witch refugees were ferried to other Blue Coral Divers communities based on Brooke Waters Brooke Waters mental map. Tilon wasn't clear on whether witches remained in hiding on Chandrila or how these refugee efforts shifted that clan presence in the big picture. Privacy and speed were the order of the day.

The crystals in particular were a welcome addition to the long-term stocks of, for lack of a better term, trade goods.

That event over, the
Wake of Balmorra set its sights toward other prospective destinations: the Jedi Enclave on Selvaris ( Ran Serys Ran Serys ), the Rannon Jedi Temple ( WolfMortum WolfMortum ), the Veridian Jedi Temple ( Tirin Raene Tirin Raene ), the former or current Knossa Jedi Praxeum on Ossus ( Romi Jade Romi Jade ), and the Voss Temple ( Matsu Ike Matsu Ike ) - see top of thread for ways to participate if desired

  • The crafting materials — the metals and crystals — are very well received and of broad interest.
  • Medical supplies from Vonnuvi are offloaded at the Ashlanti Elysium monastery. Medical care being unreliable in the farthest Levantine reaches, the remaining Levantine Sentry senior students stay here to train.
  • Common ground with this enclave makes it a valuable potential port of call for the Vonnuvi herdship ( Amani Serys Amani Serys ) And the fact that many NJO Padawans are now on Veridia can only make this connection to everyone's benefit. These are dark times and more links, more allies, more exit routes speak directly to children's ability to survive.

CURRENT NOTABLE CARGO: Pagodon's Force training tools (used by the students aboard), Levantine Path Engine technology, Vonnuvi repair materials, Veridian crafting materials, and a variety of lightsaber crystals.

PORTS OF CALL: Pagodon, Barab, Kattada, Manaan, Kyrikal (x3), Terminus, Jadeite Retreat, Vonnuvi Herdship, Dathomir (X2), Chandrila, Veridia
