[SIZE=14.6667px]Welcome to the new Galactic Alliance. A faction founded on the belief that all sentient beings deserve their own freedom, independence and protection. Lead by a Triumvirate, the Galactic Alliance is the type of faction that expects the best from its members, encouraging diversity in its ranks, and not walling off the options available to an individual. As we are a start-up and ad hoc conglomerate of beings, we can not afford to bloat the faction with rules that prevent productivity. Furthermore, we strive for the maximum amount of flexibility in structure. For example, it would not be unheard of for Jedi to be led by a Non-Force Using unit commander in the heat of battle, or a team to be rescued by a Force user wielding a repeater but no lightsaber, sans Jedi Order robes.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]Within the space that will become Galactic Alliance, the only rules that matter are the simplest ones, and we are only limited by what you can do, and what you’re willing to give to the collective. Working to end corruption and darkness in the galaxy is the cornerstone for the Galactic Alliance.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=14.6667px]Supreme Commander Nemo Ven leads the Galactic Alliance military. Ven is an elder Mon Calamari naval officer whose fleet was cut off from his battlegroup by the Sith during the events of the Rapture. Firmly believing that inaction was leading to the end of the galaxy, Ven signed on with the Omega Protectorate forces, before meeting with his counterparts to discuss the formation of the Galactic Alliance on Sullust.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]Grand Marshal Omai Rhen leads the New Jedi Order (NJO). Founded on the belief that it is the duty of every Force sensitive in the galaxy to do their best to fight against the coming darkness, he directs his charges to seek out the best course of action. He encourages the NJO Jedi to learn by [/SIZE][SIZE=14.6667px]doing,[/SIZE][SIZE=14.6667px] and stresses that defeating the dark side is part and parcel to the beliefs of the Jedi. Understanding that not all Force users who oppose the darkness are Jedi, he works closely with a variety of fringe Force groups that have made their way to the sanctum within the Galactic Alliance.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]Finally, Chief of State Caita Xen, a Sullustan diplomat who has held positions in both the ministry of foreign affairs and the ministry of defense leads the governing body. She understands what that the galaxy needs less bureaucracy and more freedom. The Galactic Alliance government is founded on these beliefs, that each world should have its own sovereignty. With this sovereignty, these worlds will be bonded together in a pledge to help one another and the Galactic Alliance to turn the tide, diplomatically and economically against nations such as the One Sith.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=14.6667px]Our Military is lead by the Supreme Commander, and through delegates known as [/SIZE][SIZE=14.6667px]COMMANDERS[/SIZE][SIZE=14.6667px]. These officers help oversee battle groups and troop movements and are player-characters designated by the faction staff. While they are delegated by Nemo Ven, they serve a variety of roles, including but not limited to; field commanders, military advisors and base commanders. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]The Military prides itself on allowing creativity and variety. As the Alliance is lacking for personnel this early in their game, it is not unheard of for pilots to take up rifles and become soldiers and special operations units, or the reverse. The military contains a mixture of Non Force Users and Force Users fighting side-by-each to turn the tide of the battle.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]Roles in our military are only limited by the writer’s imagination and choices; including but not limited to pilots, naval officers, soldiers, special operations units as well as a limitless variety of support roles from combat engineers, to medics to logistics officers. And ranks are fluid beyond the Commanders, and are open to what the writer feels the character should be.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=14.6667px]The New Jedi Order is lead by the Grand Marshal and managed through the use of [/SIZE][SIZE=14.6667px]MARSHALS[/SIZE][SIZE=14.6667px], higher ranking and proven members of the Order that are expected to set the example for this Order. There is no official player-council, but merely the directive to increase the reach of the light side, and reduce the dark side to a mere memory. Jedi specializations are as varied as they come. and they are also tasked with policing the non-Jedi Force users who have found their home in the Galactic Alliance, to ensure they are not falling to the Dark Side. Are you a Jedi Weapons Master? Watchman? Sage? Healer? The choice is yours.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=14.6667px]Finally, the state of our nation is lead by planetary [/SIZE][SIZE=14.6667px]GOVERNORS[/SIZE][SIZE=14.6667px] that report directly to the Chief of State. While the Galactic Alliance does not have a Senate, as a league of worlds devoted to the cause of personal freedom while eliminating waves of tyranny, planets are free to make their own treaties and peace agreements as well as economic and trade sanctions for a variety of companies. Our politicians will also assist in diplomatic solutions before our military is sent into an area to help turn free a world. The State branch of the Galactic Alliance will encompass a variety of other sectors. Many of the people in this branch will be accomplished businessmen and women, scientists, doctors, and academics.[/SIZE]
