"Silver Jedi ship, identify yourself. Please state the purpose of your visit to the orbital facilities"

At best Ringo Vinda's status as a Silver Jedi world was contested. At worst Ringo Vinda was no longer a SJ world. What the occupants of the SJ ship do not know was that a referendum took place regarding Ringo Vinda's status among the Silver Jedi, and that the results are just released. Ringo Vinda was a world that had to cycle through a few Jedi Protectors (even though none of these Jedi Protectors were officially recognized as such): a Jedi Healer was Charzon's predecessor, last she heard about who she replaced, and Jessica is the incumbent. While Charzon was in shackles, Julie was to stand guard over her to avoid Charzon escaping while the response from the Silver Jedi ship was still waiting. She was a little remorseful, all right, she would be awaiting judgment. No one, and Julie really does mean it, no one would have suspected Charzon of being a mass murderer until Korriban happened.

Living and breathing for two. It didn’t feel like it, and in a way it did. It was a strange feeling, and she hadn’t yet stopped to catch her breath to try and figure out what was going on in her mind. Instead, she simply rolled with it. “Of course, Grandmaster. No need to worry; I’ll take good care of him.” A playful wink accompanied her words as she watched Thurion move to take Connor into what she assumed was a warrior’s embrace before departing.

Her eyes lingered on the large form of the Valkyri as he went before turning back towards Connor with a smile. Rising slowly, she stretched her arms above her head, slow and languid before dropping them down to her sides. “Yes, let’s. Though I admit I’d much rather be at the beach.” She flashed him a grin before heading for the exit, mentally picking out what she would need to pack for their vacation.

--

Joza had made herself comfortable in the co-pilot’s chair, legs crossed as she tapped at the screen of her datapad. She’d been looking up beach resorts—mostly along Zeltros and Lianna—to quell the vague sense of anxiety in her chest. That, and she was just plain excited to go to the beach. Though her in her condition, she might opt for a sundress over a bikini.

She almost didn’t suppress the roll of her eyes at his question, feeling his eye on her stomach. She placed the datapad down on her lap and turned to him. “Don’t worry now, I’m managing just fine.” She went back to tapping away, muttering under her breath. “You can’t even see anything yet…” At least you couldn’t with a nice layer of flowy material to hide her bump. Soon though, she’d have to start shopping for maternity clothes. The thought made her shudder, but it inspired her to pull up a holosite for a clothing boutique.

A transmission crackled to life, and the Zeltron put the datapad down for good this time.

“Masters Connor Harrison and Joza Perl of the Order of the Silver Jedi. We’ve come for one Charzon Loulan.”

It was a simple response, but it was enough to cause Joza’s nerves to start tingling. Her fingers tapped rhythmically at the datapad, but her eyes were set forward on the form of Ringo VInda.

He didn’t get a chance to speak up before Joza was right in there – direct and to the point. No frills or explanation. Rubbing his fingers together as he slowed the ship down with one pull of the accelerator thrust lever, he glanced to her, busy on the datapad.

”What are you tapping away at?”

Craning his head, he tried to see but couldn’t make out what she was doing. With a little smile, enjoying the company, he went back to the readout and waited, tapping his finger on the display waiting for a sign of acknowledgement from the Staryard.

He looked out at the ringed planet and the installations above orbit.

”I’ve never been here before. Funny how many worlds and systems are out there we’ve not even touched on or explored. We know so little of this galaxy really, it’s incredible.”

"All clear: Charzon Loulan is awaiting transportation off-world for trial"

Upon seeing the ship with Connor Harrison and Joza Perl onboard docking, Charzon couldn't help but realize that the Silvers have arrived. Not one second too early, she thought. And Julie suspects that Charzon had no prior predisposition whatsoever for committing such crimes on such a grand scale. Charzon stands still, awaiting judgment for her crimes: she has not only Julie but also two additional cops around her while the SJ ship docks. The four people just await for the location of the docked Silver Jedi ship with its two Jedi occupants onboard before setting course towards it. But Charzon being not only in shackles but also in ball-and-chains, that would prove to be a long slog. She was lucky not to be tarred and feathered: the planet's supply of tar was almost exhausted and the Gungans of the mountains would never allow the feathers of their fowl to be used for tarring-and-feathering criminals.

"Get moving, prisoner: the prison barge has arrived"

"Prison barge? Not one second too many"

Bringing the ship down through the atmosphere, Connor followed the coordinates of the docking bay and didn't speak as he did. His stomach started to knot, wondering how he'd feel seeing the one who caused the Order so much pain. The one who wiped out a city in a heartbeat. The one who had thrown everything Connor worked for into the blender.

Gently, he touched down and killed the engines.

”Come on. The sooner this is done the sooner we can move forward,” he said to Joza as he rose.

Making his way through the ship, his attire that of his usual Silver Jedi gear and the lightsaber by his side, Connor went to the rear hold and lowered the ramp, the mechanics whirring as it clanked down on the ground. He walked out, seeing the prisoner chained surrounded by three figures all looking like law enforcement, but not Silver law enforcers.

Connor turned briefly to Joza and flicked up with his eyes, encouraging her to keep them peeled. He stood a few feet before the welcome party. There she was. Charzon Loulan. As normal as they come. Nothing that screamed cold-hearted commander of a fleet. Just a normal looking lady. They all started out that way.

”Charzon Loulan. I am Connor Harrison of the Silver Jedi. This is my colleague Joza Perl. On the account of treason and genocide, I am arresting you in the name of the Silver Code. You do not have to say anything but anything you say can and will be used against you in the Court of the Order.” He stepped forward. ”Consider this the fairest way to face your crime, Chorzan. And the safest. Many people out there want you dead. Silver Jedi included. Let's go.”

He held his hand out for her to take the steps to him, and willingly accompany them to the ship and back to Voss for her trial.

Charzon was brought to Connor in shackles, balls and chains so she was a little heavy to carry even for two people. That was going to be a little difficult; Charzon kept quiet, and Charzon was going to say goodbye to Ringo Vinda one last time. She fethed up big on Korriban, she'd rather not compound the issue. As the security guards escort Charzon in this condition, the additional guards brought in to assure that Connor and Joza were almost ready to spread boiling tar over Charzon, but relented because boiling tar would kill her especially if she is feathered afterward. Tarring and feathering was the stuff Ringovindians reserved to murderers once a guilty verdict has been rendered due to the scarcity of the feathers. So she would be brought to Voss without feathers or even a single trace of tar on her own body. At least it wasn't as bad as if she stayed on Ringo Vinda for much longer, where she would be tarred and feathered, displayed around the major cities of the planet for a day apiece until she dies.

“Mm. Just exploring some of the options for our getaway.” She returned his faint smiled, content with her task for now. She paused, looking up from her datapad to listen to Connor. Tilting her head to the side, Joza pursed her lips in thought. “I’ve never been here either. I didn’t actually start exploring the galaxy until I left to join the Alliance—when I left Zeltros. Kind of embarrassing how little I knew, actually.” She laughed softly. “There still a lot I still don’t know, though.”

When they received clearance to dock and confirmation that Charzon was waiting for them to retrieve her, one of Joza’s eyebrows shot up. She wasn’t used to dealing with political prisoners, but rather criminals of a different ilk. As they rose, Joza smoothed out the fabric of her robes and place the datapad on the seat of her chair.

As the disembarked, they were presented with the site of a bound Charzon and her entourage. Catching the look in Connor’s eyes, Joza’s own gaze set to subtly sizing up the security personnel and the other woman with Charzon. She stood a half step beside Connor, hands tucked behind her neatly, back ramrod straight, mouth set into a firm line. The stance pushed her stomach out a bit more than she would have liked, and the stern expression she wore was not one usually seen on the Zeltron.

She didn’t add anything to the other Rogue’s words, green eyes turning towards the shackled woman before them. What a mess. So many dead, so many more enraged. She would wait for Charzon to move towards Connor, then close in behind her and follow her back to the ship. So far the woman did not present herself as a flight risk, but Joza was wary.

His hand moved around her arm and he didn’t let the grip go, near dragging her along the docking bay, chains rattling as they made it up the ship’s ramp. Turning at the top, he nodded to the law enforcers and brought up the ramp to close them in and seal off her sanctuary.

He moved her into the hold and sat her down on a length of sofa by a table.

"Joza, stay with her. Don’t let her out of your sight."

Connor kept his eye on Charzon the whole time he spoke to Joza, the resentment in his eyes evident and his clenched fists ready to break bone. How he wished she’d lash out; try to hurt them or flee. Then he could end it with justification.

He moved off to the cockpit and started up the ship, not wasting time contacting the Ringo Vinda authorities and just rose steadily and pushed outwards in the evening sky, setting a course for orbit and back to Voss.

It wouldn’t take too long, but long enough with the butcher of Korriban on board. He opened up communication with the Grandmaster.

"Thurion, we have her. En-route back to Voss now. She’s alive."

The blue likeness of Thurion flickered to life, depicting him sat in his office. "Excellent work, Connor! I take it she offered no resistance, then?"

He rose from his office chair and leaned over his desk, palms pressed against its surface. "Bring her in with all haste. She's likely a wanted woman in the vast majority of systems by now, and if word gets out that she's on the move there might be people attempting to cash in her reward. We'll have a cell waiting for her here at the temple in preparation for her trial."

"Thurion, out." The hologram would then switch off.

There was one thing the Ringovindians did not do on Charzon: gagging her. She often heard about how some judicial systems could violate due process for crimes like those she committed on Korriban. As she was hauled inside the prisoner barge they called a Dynasty-class freighter, she feels the chains are getting heavier and heavier, especially since there are black ditanium balls attached to her feet. But now that she knew for sure that she wasn't on Ringo Vinda, she only harbored faint hope that her jailers won't mistreat her, or that due process will be respected. Even so, she didn't know much about due process in criminal law, more so as applied to civil cases. She did have to handle a commercial litigation case or two, but even then she only has a limited idea of what due process means even in the civil case. While she is being stared down by the jailers brought in to deliver her to Voss for trial...

"How long is it before we arrive on Voss? We all want swift resolution, well, as swift a resolution there could be while due process is respected"

Joza remained silent as Charzon was transported up the ramp and into the ship. As Connor sat her down, her gaze shifted over towards the more senior Master and she nodded once. Her eyes lingered on his retreating form for a moment, feeling the quiet rage that twisted inside of him. Even his body language spoke of his ire. Joza couldn’t blame him, after what he’d seen and what it now caused down the road. Chancing it, she reached out to comfort his mind—but it was brief, as she was quick to heed his order and turn back towards Charzon.

Standing in front of the other woman, the Zeltron played the part of a sentinel. Her hands were still behind her back, and she focused on the blonde woman with an intense gaze. So much she wanted to do, so much more she wanted to say—but this was not the place for her anger. This wasn’t about her.

It wasn’t as if she didn’t have interest in talking to Charzon. She wanted badly to pepper the woman with questions, but didn’t want to violate some sort of code of conduct. Political arrests were unfamiliar territory. And so when she asked how long it would be until they arrived on Voss, Joza gave a short answer.

“We will get there when we get there.”

She stood, unmoving, watching.

Connor stared out into the void of space, a few far planets spotted in the distance in the neighbouring Silver territory as he listened to Thurion’s orders, and warning. He was right.

"Will do. Have it ready for when we arrive."

He signed off. He was surprised this had been so easy – although to be fair, the whereabouts of Charzon weren’t going to be bandied around, and she wasn’t necessarily residing in Silver space. However, from what he knew of the Sith, they would be after her head and cut down anyone who stand in their way – which would work wonders for the Silvers.

The Sith preached about justice, and yet they would defy those they stated as being war criminals to murder a wanted criminal and in turn neglect anything and anyone in their way. It was almost a dare too good for Connor to try and bait.

Turning in the pilots chair, Connor leaned forward to glance through into the hold. He could see the pair, and it seemed a very stilted and tense situation. Of course it would be, he expected nothing else – and it was a chance to see how Joza handled the already volatile situation.

Joza remained standing in front of Charzon, eyes focused firmly on the other woman. Her gaze was neither intense nor idle, nor was it meant to intimidate. It simply was, and right now she filled her role as a soldier watching over a prisoner. The Zeltron would make sure that no harm came to Charzon aboard the ship, and similarly that she would deal no harm to her or Connor.

If there was one thing Joza had learned over the years, it was that emotion had little place in a situation such as this. They were representing the Silver Jedi, and despite the rage and uncertainty that broiled inside her, she separated her duty from her feelings. As an emotional person, she determined that it would be necessary—and it often was—to carry out her task.

Her feet would begin to ache during the flight, but she would only shift her weight to relieve the strain. They were nearing Voss, and Joza could rest all she wanted once Charzon was taken into custody on the Silver’s capital planet.

Voss came closer and closer in a near-silent flight.

Taking the craft down with a guided escort on a problem free course down through the atmosphere with thankfully no aims at hijacking or sabotage with such precious cargo on-board, Connor breathed a sigh of relief as he called it and directed the ship straight into the hangar rather than land outside.

The Rangers were armed and ready, and Connor would take Charzon to the lower holding cells after making sure she was in one piece and hid no...surprises.

"Thurion, we're here. I'm taking her down to the cells."

Signing off, he cut the engines and left the cockpit, going to face the two ladies in the hold. He indicated for Charzon to stand.

"Get up. We're here, and it's time to start ending this drama once and for all."

"Any indication as to when will the trial take place?"

Charzon expected the answer to be a range, e.g. 2-4 business weeks. She heard nightmares about some judicial systems where one needed to wait several months, maybe even years, even though due process was otherwise respected. 2-4 weeks on remand seemed much more reasonable than several months on remand. Hopefully all parties involve will understand what due process actually means. But still in shackles, ball and chains, getting up is a lot slower than she would be if these Ringovindians didn't see it fit to fit ditanium ball-and-chains. A little barbaric way to detain criminals at pre-trial stage but mass murderers are given the most barbaric punishments back on her homeworld. And hopefully she can get these shackles removed so that she can eat. She is hungry but she won't be mistreated: remand prisoners just couldn't - at least that's how she perceived SJ justice as applied on Voss.

"Hopefully within a week. Two max. We have business on Korriban first to help clear up the mess you caused."

Connor took her under the arm, caring not for her shackles which were very brutal in fashion, and made sure she stayed with him until she reached the holding cells. They were secure, safe and she would be cared for. A medical would ensure she was fit, and food provided.

She would remain in custody under armed guard until the trial.
