GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Organization Name: The Five Brothers League or FBL
  • Classification: Political Party and Paramilitary Organization
  • Affiliation: Nominally affiliated with the High Republic so long as the FBL believes the Corell system being apart of the High Republic is the best option for the system.
  • Organization Symbol: A brutalist depiction of a Banshee Bird, usually depicted in gold with a green background.
  • Description: The FBL serves as a Corellian independence party, seeking to maintain the Corell system's sovereignty, culture, and general way of life from perceived tampering. It does however, have an official militant wing who take a more active approach to the Corell system's safety. This militant wing maintains a standing army and small navy in order to defend the Corell system from invasion and assist local authorities in enforcing the law against pirates, smugglers, and other delinquents. Furthermore the party actively acts as an aid organization during disasters within the system; acting as protection and crisis relief.
GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Hierarchy: The Five Brothers League operates similarly to a professional military with a strict hierarchy, usually borrowing the names of military ranks for the party's own ranking system. At the top is the Admiral: Mance Iblis
  • Membership: To join the party one must meet with a recruiter and officially declare allegiance to the party as well as to swear to defend the Corell system. There are tens of thousands of members spread out across The Five Brothers, with many more supporters who are not officially recognized as part of the party.
  • Climate: For the most part the Five Brothers League acts as any normal political party, holding rallies, organizing publicity campaigns, and trying to convince the general population to vote for the FBL in any elections. However the strict militant hierarchy of the group instills a kind of professionalism that may seem odd to outsiders. The militant wing of the party, which is much smaller than the rest, acts as a professional military as it maintains peace and security within the Corell system.
  • Reputation: The party is often met with a mixed bag of emotions. Many within the system view them as reactionary armed radicals who pose a danger while many others see them as a benefit to the system; especially with all the charity outreach and anti-crime programs the party implements and carries out.
  • Curios: Often party members are given a pin of the party symbol, or a proper badge if they are a part of the militant wing of the party.
  • Rules:
    • Duty Over All
    • Discipline In Everything
    • Primacy of the Corell System
  • Goals: The ultimate goals of the Five Brothers League is to establish the Corell system as a major player in galactic politics, taking back the prestige and power the party believes the Corell system once had.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Corellia has always had a desire for independence, some even claiming that desire was instilled into the blood of its people. This desire manifested as a few small political groups within the Corell system during the reign of the Galactic Alliance, a paper-rancor, a mock resistance really only existing because that is what people expected of the Corellians. Most enjoyed the benefits of the Alliance, and those who would rather stay independent continued on as smugglers, free-captains, or ignored the Alliance's flag flying over Corellian cities; just as Corellians always had.

Yet with the fall of the Alliance, Corellia was forcefully ejected into independence. This dream Corellia had flirted with was made manifest in the worst possible way, and the planet suffered greatly. Having so heavily relied on the Galactic Alliance's provided stability and the vast network of trade that came with membership, Corellia was ill-suited for true independence. Markets crashed, resources became scarce, and the Corellian Defense Force struggled to maintain order as pirate fleets began popping up left and right.

This chaos all came to an end with the Corell system's induction into the High Republic. Many were content to let the High Republic fill the void the Galactic Alliance had left behind, but many others saw that void as a wound to Corellia's pride. The Five Brothers League was formed shortly after the High Republic took the Corell System, formed from the unification of half a dozen nationalist and reactionary parties. The League had a simple mission: assure Corellian might. The League sees the writing on the wall, knows that the High Republic will try to domesticate the Corell system as did the Galactic Alliance and then it will one day collapse.

The Five Brothers League promotes the idea that the Corell system, all five of its inhabited planets, and the myriad species that are native to those worlds were made for greater things than simply playing second fiddle to larger powers. It is time for all Corellians to unite and take their future in hand and guide the system towards prosperity rather than continue to drift aimlessly through history. Whether that is through cooperation with the High Republic or outright secession is yet to be seen, as for now the party is building its base and helping the system recover from the dual catastrophe of the Planeshift followed by the Galactic Alliance's collapse.

"We will rise again" are the words on every League candidate's lips in every election across the system, and thousands strive to make that come true.
