The first step is a doozy [Dominion of Lareen]

She flushed a little at the last comment, to be honest Lylin would not know what or how to take advantage of him. She might need to get drunk herself for that to happen. She cleared her throat a little before speaking, "I wont", she began, although curiosity was now building. "I promise. I shall .. pilot shall I?", she was nervous now. So she moved to the pilot seat and took over. She did not really need to, but she had to distract herself from his comment. "Hmm, can I have some?", she asked a little more braver now. She would have to watch her intake of the stuff as who knew where it would lead. But she found her eyes looking over that .. body to die for.

"Yeah, just don't do anything that will reflect badly on me." Noah informed his little brother as they walked out of the shuttle and towards where Noah's coinumpany of 120 soldiers waited for orders. After a few minutes they made it to the rally point and Noah stood in front of his soldiers with his hands behind his back. "Alright,we all know why we're here,to give those Sith bastards a good kick in the behind." Noah announced to them, which was met with a chorus of cheering and clapping. "Now,I'll need a few things done. 1st,2nd and 3rd squad, you will be patrolling first, everyone else, you will be helping the engineers and eggheads in getting the base ready." Noah ordered them and watched as half the company went on patrol and the other half went towards the base.

Isis had been on duty in the protectorate when the call finally came in to mount up and ride out to get a planet under the protection of the OP, it was about time she was removed from security work and finally placed on real active duty, her soul craved for action and her muscles starved for combat and as it is she was ready to tackle just about anything.

Piloting her fighter, an older a wing interceptor she flew it past the planetary guard of the OP and toward the world while establishing contact with command structure Lord Protector, this is wraith 1 reporting she piloted her fighter toward the planet wondering if this was the best time to come in to lend some aid to the planetary forces of the OP... what is even more amazing is the fact there suposedly are already teams on the surface of the planet working to oust the powers that want-to-be on the world.

Nyos now sat aboard his personal vessel, the 'Phoebus'. He had with him a team of five medical officers and a pair of soldiers to guard the medics. Nyos was tasked with overseeing the wounded, casualties and cybernetic tune-ups. Having already been fixed up himself, his onboard medical droid MD-13 had gone over his parts thoroughly, and tweaked a few bolts, wires and screws here and there. He got the all clear and with his newly upgraded optical implant, his vision spectrum ranged from ultraviolet to infrared and everything in between. Also having replaced a few components for optimized data storage and distance, his eye was less cumbersome. He was using a point-to-point data transfer system to store data back on the 'Phoebus' computers.

Mistral looked at Aoyoshi and gave a nod of his head as he spoke. "It is good you came but take it easy, your skills and in the case of this diplomatic words will be more needed. We might even be able to use you for coordination instead of simply fighting if it is needed. So have those holopads ready in case we need help finding our path please Lady Aoyoshi." He gave a grin and kept moving as he had to admit there was more then enoug going on and he felt kind of bad that she had been called in while injured. He would just have to make sure everything was safe as it went on.

Mirshen was laughing to himself as he realized something... She was innocent or very nervous in his presence as he saw her take the seat again and passed it over to her. "Well here you go just be careful, you don't want to drink to much. Flying a ship and drinking is not one of the best ways to go about things and I should know it is how we crash ships on Corellia when we really want to make some of the old shipwrights cringe. Oh you'll have t see that place when this is all done. It doesn't get any better." He was still grinning and made a point of putting his hands behind his head to stretch and show off all of his chest and stomach. For show of course but when you work for Omega and for a living you look good. With muscles in all the right places.

Lareen City
Defensive HQ
Dawn

Far too quickly, the sun rose on the horizon and Lareen City woke to uneasy light. Throughout the night, engineers toiled tirelessly to secure defensive emplacements along rooftops. Main avenues were block at the street level by makeshift barricades and dotted with heavy repeater nests. Above them, landing pads for speeders were converted into defensive aerial encampments and refueling pads. In short order, the busting city had become a veritable corpse, for all the activity seemed to have vanished. Most of the city's citizens were evacuated north while the ones that refused to leave, or couldn't leave, were gathered into heavily fortified civil centers. The hope was that they'd be safe there while the attackers were repelled.

Near the south-eastern edge of the town, soldiers hurried to and fro, armed with blaster rifles and lugging last minute equipment to where it was needed the most. Ayden stood in the center of the city's makeshift combat information center. Many of the wide displays, once used to coordinate civil services, had been re-purposed to display key defense zones and tactical information. To his left was Councilor Lera, her face a mask of solidarity, even as it was clear that her heart was breaking from seeing what the city had been transformed into. He did his best to give the Valen woman a comforting smile as a console alarm went off. "Contact! Enemy contact, sector 05. Field telemetry coming up now."

Murmurs of shock rolled through the assembled as the largest screen was suddenly awash with black. A technical glitch would have be a blessing. Instead, thousands of Sith troopers marched for the city. Dotting their ranks were hundreds of AT-TTs, fearsome six-legged walkers that moved with mechanical precision. They, however, were not what held Ayden's attention. Amongst the assembled army were a dozen titanic AT-SATs. Seismological warnings began going off across Sector 05 as the Sith army continued to approach. A second warning klaxon blared suddenly. "Sector 09 reports enemy aircraft on approach." Radar maps were brought up, displaying dozens of Taral-class interceptors and TIE/r fighters. The attack was two pronged then, as they were escorting enemy tranports into the city.

"Goddess shelter us and Gods take them." Ayden swore under his breath. "Scramble defensive fighters to Sector 09. Inform Sector 05 that their birds might be a bit late getting to the party." Confirmations rang out as elements of the approaching Sith army broke off and headed north, to Sector 4. "Alert all our forces. The Sith army has come. Now is the time that we make our stand." Ayden clenched his fist and turned to the Councilor and nodded to her before his form shattered into millions of photons. Elsewhere, at the command post for Sector 05, Ayden tightened the gauntlet around his forearm and gave it a tug. He hadn't worn the new Mk II/s combat suit yet. As the helmet came over his vision, gold markings the only thing to signify his elevated status, he resolved to speak to technicians about getting his own personal variant.

Slinging the BTI-HPBR off his shoulder and checking the power cells, Ayden sighed in the final moments before combat as enemy speeders broke off to engage Protectorate recon speeders. His nerves were on fire and a knotted pit formed in his stomach. It had been some time since he had engaged in frontlines combat, but as he aimed the blaster rifle and watched the Sith forces break into a charge, somethings never changed.

And then the Nine Hells broke loose.

Nyos disembarked from the 'Phoebus' and sent it on a rear patrol. Nyos sprinted up next to @[member="Ayden Cater"] This will be interesting. He drew his vibrosaber, placed his mask on his head, and heavy bolter pistol. He readied for the first speeder to get close, jumping straight at the incoming vessel, Nyos spun rapidly, blade out, and beheaded the pilot, crewman and gunner in one motion. Rolling to his feet, he took off at full speed with the help of his cybernetic legs, he matched the velocity of a crossing speeder, point blank, Nyos removed the pilot's head from its body. Nyos went about like the Tasmanian devil, tearing threw the swarm of speeder, foot soldiers, and transports.

At one point he activated his overdrive, and became an orange line darting across the battlefield, with screams trailing in his wake.

Her transport came out of hyperspace, followed by four protectorate bombers. Ventasia had completely absent from the group as of late, seemingly doing her own thing, even though it was known she didn't have much going on. Somehow, even she couldn't resist a chance to cause a little trouble. Images of past crazed journeys passed through her head as the ships began their approach toward Lareen City. The original plan had been for the bombers to simply escort her to meet the others, however, as with most things, plans are only tentative. As she awaited their landing, the co-pilot of her shuttle looked back to her.

"Ma'am. We're picking up several enemy signatures heading toward the city. It's much more than a few. Your orders?" She glanced toward the female pilot, a small sigh escaping her lips before a sly grin came across her lips. "It seems I've arrived just in time for the fun. Call up the fighters. Tell them to push out and make a quick strafe run. They need to take out whatever they can. Afterward, they should probably land somewhere within the city so they don't get shot down. Or at least lessen their chances." A sinister snicker emitted from her person as she rose from her seat at the back of the transport, moving toward the cockpit. She pulled her comm from her supply pack which was still within her grasp, pressing a button to open the channel as she hoped a certain someone was still on the same frequency, and that she was lucky enough that he was on the ground. Otherwise, there would be quite a bit of collateral death.

"Oh tin-man. Can you hear me? And if you can, don't pretend to not know who this is." Ah, how her humor never seemed to change.

@[member="Nyos Val"]

Nyos paused in his attacks to respond, Ah, I was wondering when you would 'crash' the party. Pleased to hear you're in one peace. How may I be of service?
Nyos returned to his assault until he received word from his friend again. Nyos punch the nose of a speeder, flipping it end over end, then grabbing a speeder bike and whipping it around like a bat, slamming it into another, crushing both with ease. Nyos turned in time to see a tank shell fly at his chest, Nyos responded by jumping at the shell, kicking off if, sending it to the ground behind him to blow up what ever was unlucky enough to have been there. Flipping through the air, Nyos came down on the tank with both feet. Crushing the hull of the tank, and the crew inside. Nyos paused to take a breath and for the response of his friend, @[member="Ventasia Terana"]

Hearing the voice come through the comm link, Ventasia's lips curved into a sly grin. Since she could warm them, her plan was essentially a go. After all, who was going to stop her from down there? She never really took orders to begin with, and that certainly hadn't changed. "Ah, so I wasn't forgotten? Makes me almost feel special bot-boy. Almost. Anyway, I highly suggest you pull as many of the troops back from the battle. Preferably into the city. Or you can leave them out there. Doesn't matter to me, really. Either way I have a strafe run incoming in about thirty seconds. I'd suggest you pass on the news and fast. I'd hate for you boys to be part of my newest scar on the galaxy." A light snicker came from her person. The show was about to begin.

@[member="Nyos Val"]

Well, now that sounds like the @[member="Ventasia Terana"] I remember! Nyos radioed back to Command, Alert, incoming bombing run on our position, request permission to pull back temporarily, until the bombing is done? Repeat, incoming Friendly bombing run from @[member="Ventasia Terana"], on my position friendly casualties probable. Request temporary retreat. Over.

Nyos called for troops around him to fall back to the line. He warned them of the impending doom that was soaring for their position. At the mention of the name Ventasia Terana, they immedietly booked it back to the line.

"This is Corek,I'm sending you some coridinates that will allow you to hit them with max enemy casualties without risking our boys." Noah informed him as he sat on the edge of the Protectorate line with his customized OPSR-1 Sniper Rifle propped up against a rock while he used his macrobinoculars to search for targets and call them out over the battlenet.

@[member="Nyos Val"] (Twas the plan, dear.)

Just as Ventasia prepared to give the signal of the run, a noticeable voice echoed through her comm. Honestly, part of her wanted to ignore it. There was nothing better than doing something your way. Especially when it dealt with wiping something or someone from the face of the galaxy. Luckily for the sake of everyone else, she decided to humor herself. "Corek. Not surprised you'd try to find a way to limit casualties. Well, I suppose I could at least take half of a second to glance at the coordinates. No promises though."

Arrbi Betna sauntered over to Noah Corek, he helmet and armor on and sealed. He carried his well maintained, but worn bolt action slug thrower cradled in his arms as he approached. The Mandalorian's pouches and web gear were bulging with ammunition and equipment and a leather dropleg holster held a well worn revolver ready for use.

Using his helmet's rangefinder and macrobinocular functions, he spotted the enemy lines and took it all in. The range was at the extreme of his rifle's capabilities, but it was something he could work with. He panned back and forth over the enemy

"Officer giving orders. I make out Captain bars. Right hand side, roughly two five meters from the right most AT-TT. He's standing next to an APC. Looks like he's trying to set up a forward command site. Probably thinks he looks good in a red beret," he said without preamble. Hopefully Corek would get the hint. "Comm officer looking this way. He's speaking to someone. Center left. Four Zero meters to the right. About five five meters towards us. Has his helmet off and is hanging out of a light vehicle. Can't miss him."

He could take the shots himself, but seeing that Corek had the fancy schmancy rifle, Betna would let the Protectorate soldier use up his ammo instead.

"That's Colonel Corek to you Lieutenant." Noah the red head and then watched as Arrbi walked forwards and laid down next to him. "Comm Officer first,he's the most dangerous,if he can see us,he can call in a airstrike." Noah informed the Mando and then picked up his sniper and screwed a flash suppressor onto the barrel and set the bipod down on the rocks, adjusted all of the variables and line up the shot and put a bullet straight through the comm officer at his center mass, effectively silencing him for good. He then did the same for the captain and put him down.

Nyos confirmed that the majority of his troops were at a safe distance. He grabbed a tracking beacon, and with the strength of his augmented arm, hurled it into the line that @[member="Noah Corek"] designated. Nyos radioed @[member="Ventasia Terana"], Alright Ventasia, I tagged the target, lock on to this beacon...Light 'em up girl!
Nyos toggled the beacon on his comm to get the coordinates to Ventasia. He utilized his photoreceptor to zoom in on the action when the bombers rolled into view. The rumble of the reactors creating a distraction from the fighting that was taking place, Soldiers from both sides could be seen tracing the path of the bombers with their heads. Soon the battlefield would be massively scared and covered in burnt durasteel, flesh and flora.

Watching the charging Sith, Ayden was glad that they hadn't pushed out earlier. Intel had not anticipated the size of the Sith force sent against them. Already, the speeders of both sides were chasing one another, quickly darting into the city. Some of the fresher troops took potshots at the enemy speeders, but the more experienced ones kept their gun sights trained on the approaching Sith army. A few dozen random shots soon gave way to hundreds, thousands of red, blue, and green blaster bolts flying between the two sides as they started to get in range of each other. His HUD began to light up with targets, a few dozen at first then hundreds. He quickly squelched the incoming pings and reduced the sensitivity of his targeting system to only register targets within thirty-five meters. That drastically cut back on his effective aim, but it ensured that he wouldn't be bombarded with more targets than he could focus on.

Defensive nests opened fire as soon as they got their own targets in range. Some had rocket launchers that were fired at approaching AT-TTs, but most of the heavier ordinance was several hundred kilometers into the city. They had never realistically planned to keep the Sith out of the whole city. The outer defenses were centered primarily on slowing down the enemy and whittling them down as much as possible before the real heavy-hitters could come out. Sith troopers fell by the dozens, but for each one that fell, three more clamored over their dying body to get into the city. It was then that Ayden noticed that most of the front wave were composed of black droids. They looked like tin cans, for all the effect that went into their design. But their purpose was clear; shield the rest of the Sith army with their useless droid bodies. Which meant the bulk of the threat was towards the rear.

When the radio went off, alerting them to the incoming of four bombers, Ayden wondered who the hell authorized that. Before he could call off the strike, he could see the approaching bombers. And that meant so did the Sith. From the throngs of troopers and droids, dozens of aerial drones shot into the air towards the bombers while hulking destroyer droids swiveled their torsos around and took aim with their missile launchers. The Sith had enough fire power that anything less than a massive coordinated air strike would most likely prove ineffective. "Spotters, see if you can't paint the heavy walkers for long-range bombardment. We need to take those things out if we're going to establish air superiority later." That was probably the last order Ayden would make, as his HUD started to light up again. Targets were in range. Pulling the trigger, Ayden obliterated the head of one droid before switching over to the next one. The goal wasn't to kill them all. Just slow them down.

Betna grunted softly in acknowledgement. The other marksman wasn't a bad shot, but Betna felt he was the better of the two. He calmly laid the slug thrower behind and between two rocks. The positioning gave him some cover from incoming fire and the angle of the rocks would hide the flash from anyone other than dead in front of him. He scanned the field a bit, trying to spot officers, specialists, and anyone who generally looked competent or important.

He spotted a sergeant urging on troops and took aim. A moment later and the man's head popped like a melon. Betna racked another round into the chamber and searched more. Engineers near one of the AT-SATs that looked like they were trying a quick field repair of some kind. For all he knew, they were just waving their arms and gesturing, but he couldn't take that risk. Two more shots and two of the engineers lay dead with perforations in their chests. He continued on looking. He spotted someone with their head and shoulders out of a hatch in an APC. Another round solved that problem. Arrbi didn't know if the man was an officer or not, and didn't care much either way. Betna put the last round into some poor grunt carrying a crew served weapon. The Sith soldier pitched over missing half his head before he could ever set the weapon up.

Overall, the Sith offensive kept coming, but this section of the line, at least, was advancing slightly slower than the rest due to the fire from both snipers. When you weren't sure if your head was about to get blown off or not, you clung to cover. When you clung to cover, it was harder to advance, at least for the biological troops. Arrbi saw the droids kept coming, but they were the disposable shields for the main force from what he could tell. The regular grunts could deal with them for now.

"I got five," Betna said to Noah as he loaded another five round clip into the old rifle. "Better catch up."

I am uncomfortable. How could I not be? I had been sitting behind a panel for nearly an hour, waiting to the right moment to exit and inform comrades of location. Logic had all but flown outside my head, and I wondered why I had felt the need to hide. Perhaps I feared they wouldn't let me fight, due to my accident? That was nearly a year ago (though I was in a coma for most of that time). Even if I have not regained all my memories, I am ready. The Protectorate has been my home for a long time, and I intend on continuing to repay them. This was one chance to do so...

Voices caught my attention, alerting me to the presence of someone close to my crevice. Quickly they moved away, barking out orders. One sounded familiar... A grin spread onto my face, and I kicked the panel, launching it forward. With ease I pulled myself out, standing at an impressive 6 feet and 5 inches. My stature was made larger by the armor I was wearing (my beloved Caedo of Moeror). Not sparing a second I raised my hand, indicating I was not there to hurt anyone. Looking them over I spotted the feisty redhead I knew so well. "The mad merc is here, how may I be of assistance?"

Grin broadening I took a few steps forward, moving to stand next to Ventasia. The fun was about to begin.
