Faction The End of the Galaxy [TSE]

Odavessa
874 ABY
The Dark Council had been summoned at first light - their attention mandatory for what the Worm Emperor intended to offer them. In the underbelly of the great Sith city, the Worm stood in a massive tunnel - carved with the ur-Kittat symbolage of his predecessors. With him stood the High Priest of the Sepulchral, corpse like and rotten in his visage - his corrupted eyes glazed over with cataracts. Alongside both of them were the Praetorians, legendary bodyguards of the Sith Emperor - and their newly announced leader, Mordecai Zambrano Mordecai Zambrano . Their armor was black and trimmed with blood red metal and a tastefully placed electrum detail.
It was a fine nod to the glory of this place - that even its warriors were so immaculately clad. The air, however, betrayed any semblence of beauty - it's depth sickeningly visccous. One couldn't even breath without feeling the energy pulling at their cells - never had there been a place so thick with Dark Side energy. It hummed, beat like a dark heart, and whispered just out of distance - unknown words in an unknown tongue. Everything about it was unnatural - yet for the Sith of their caliber, it felt oh so right.
As the Dark Council began to finally make their way in and in their places, the Worm Emperor's many faced visage began to speak;
"Greatest of the Great Sith.", he mused.
"The Dark Council.", another voice chimed in from another mask.
"Long have we awaited showing you our great revenge; but we are close enough to the eclipse that you deserve to bear witness to it. What you feel is transcedental - what you hear is the New World. Do not fear what we will display, for it is your collective destiny to enact it's will. Come, my children, experience the very future we have strived for.", the Worm offered.
And behind them, thirty meter doors groaned and slid of their own accord. Obsidian marked granite, their weight could be guessed just by the noise they made when they turned - the shaking of the tunnel, the vibrations in the air that struck at their hearts. When it was open enough for the Worm to enter, he did so - and the other's would follow suite.

"So, the hour had struck."

Demiurge stood in place of his twin, the tyrannical Darth Carnifex, as he still remained in the custody of the Ashlan Crusade for the time being. He wore the hallowed vestments of the Sith, black robes embroidered with cloth of gold. Over his chest was the symbol of a lidless red eye, the baleful Eye of Solomon that marked the official crest of his lineage. It had been many years since he had worn the Eye, back when he was a single entity conjoined with his disparate other half.

Now he wore it proudly, the Eye hypnotically drawing attention towards it.

He stood off to the side of the growing congregation of Sith Lords, one of the tallest among them. He occasionally glanced at his younger brother, the new leader of the Praetorian Guard. It had been a long time since had seen his younger brother, having been absent from the galaxy for the better part of fifteen years. Since he had returned, Demiurge had not had the opportunity to reconnect with his siblings. Perhaps there would be a place and a time for that, but it was not today.

The Worm Emperor expounded on the reason for their gathering, the massive doors at his back opening to reveal utter darkness beyond the periphery of their vision. When the Worm passed through the threshold, Demiurge followed behind.

He was just as eager as the Worm Emperor to witness the unveiling.

A raven swooped down into the assemblage of the Dark Council to land next to Demiurge, its image lengthening into a long dark dress and hooded cloak as the Lady of Secrets arrived. The summons had aroused her curiosity, her mind wondering what the Worm Emperor could possibly be revealing that would call such attention from the councilors. The Worm Emperor stood with the corrupted High Priest while the rest of them waited for what this grand reveal might be.

Listening to the short speech, she absorbed the flowery words, processing them. Piquing of course, but not giving away the full reveal. It was obviously to do with the Grand Plan, something protected within this inner sanctum. When the doors behind the entity groaned opened, she could feel the darkness of the place increase exponentially.

"Is this about to make all our work easier?" she muttered in an undertone to the other half of Kaine Zambrano.

The darkness stretches - endless and eternal to all their sensibilities. Before them was nothing they had experienced, even dimming the abyssal light that was the Worm; himself a lighthouse of dark side energy. They would feel it churning, like the core of a planet twisting metal and molten beneath their feet. Every mortal sensibility they had was flooded with signs and reactions to run - stifled only by their iron will as Sith.
When the Worm stood with them admist no discernable light - and all that could be made out was eachother, they would feel his strength. Like a metric ton suddenly rested on their shoulders, the Sith would feel his full power as the Darkness began to churn and depart, fall to the wayside and reveal where they stood. The breath was let back into their mortal coils, and before them was a ball of pure dark side energy nearly purple and opaque.
Lightning ripped from its surface - black and menacing, hitting obsidian rods hanging from the ceiling around it. It was hundreds of meters in diameter, the energy that enveloped it spinning at an incomprehensible rate; but beneath it they could see what it was. Triangular patterns lined with unknown oily stone marked with ur-Kittat that glowed a harsh red; the orb pulsed, breathed, lived before them as nothing else ever had. What they witnessed was somewhere between the divine - and heresy.
Maliphant, another of the Dark Council seemed to swear under his breath as he saw it - stricken by the nature of its alchemic work, brought astonished by its ritualistic complexity. Its very presence was death, and every second near it felt like one's life flashing before their eyes. A life many Sith did not care to relieve.
When they were all basked in its greatness - the Worm would finally speak;
"Witness the Tzirji'Idari.", he said with a raise of his bony, ebony wrapped hand. It twitched as it presented the orb open palmed to the collected gathering.
"A product of the Sepulchral, it is the Great Equalizer. The Leveling Wind. That which begins again."

"It will serve a purpose."

Cryptically, the disparate half of Kaine Zambrano did not appear very talkative about what they were about to witness. There was a certain tenseness present in the Dark Lord, something that had always been absent whenever Taeli had previously spoken to him. Whatever lied beyond those doors, it obviously had put the man on the edge.

And that should have been frightening enough.

When they reached the main chamber, Demiurge was quiet as he looked on at the Great Equalizer. He did not offer words of astonishment as some of the others had, rather he watched the others as they reacted before turning back towards Taeli Raaf. "Legends spoke of a beast known as the Great Leveler. It was so tremendously dangerous that it could nullify a being's connection to the Force and possessed the power to turn its victims into stone. The legends do not say what happened to the Great Leveler, only that by the time of the Clone Wars it had disappeared from the galaxy."

Demiurge looked back to the device and was quiet.

A smirk was her only answer to the quieter side of Kaine Zambrano as they followed the Worm Emperor into this secret sanctum. The darkness was palpable, one could almost feel like it was a heavy cloak hanging on their shoulders or a presence lurking near their necks and prepared to consume them. It was a massive construct of power, hundreds of meters in diameter and crackling with the power of the dark side.

It wasn't awe she felt on seeing it; it was something much more familiar to her. Academic curiosity was always a powerful draw for her, her scientific mind was constantly bent towards progressing and experimenting when it came to the subject of alchemy and sorcery. It was certainly attractive to her mind, but the flowery language used to introduce it didn't give her a practical application for it yet. She half paid attention to what Demiurge muttered to her, the quick story.

"Impressively powerful," she said, "and an impressive name, but what exactly does it do and what are our plans for it?"

The Worm would know that the Lady of Secrets was more of a practical and logical mind. Creating something always needed a stated purpose.

The Grand Adjudicator had come at the summons of the great Worm Emperor. Athora was clad in her suit of armor, black as the darkness that surrounded the Dark Council within the tunnels below the city. She at the side of Lady Raaf, eyes fixated on the Emperor as he spoke. The doors behind him groaned open, averting her gaze to what lied before them.

Was it a weapon? A creature of some sorts? Or something more?

Thoughts sprinted through Athora's mind. Briefly, she considered the Emperor may be leading them into a trap. A ploy to reestablish the Dark Council with fresh faces. Still, she walked past the doors and into the dark room without hesitation. She could feel a massive surge of the dark side before her. It was powerful as the dark side is known to be. It filled her with a sense of hunger for it's strength. Then, the Emperor spoke again.

"It's power is tremendous. I can sense it. But, what is it's purpose, my lord?"

"It is Destiny, and it is Darkness.", the Worm offered in response.
The orb moved, undulated before them - althought it gave off no physical heat, the sensation was as similar to being next to a sun. Were that sun a pit of dark oily blackness that threatened to absorb them at any given moment, that is. Without noticing, it would seem, the Worm would continue;
"The Tzirji'Idari has fed upon death and destruction in the galaxy for almost 800 years; building off the power of war after war. Souls have entered it, souls have never left; and through it we possess the means to annihilate the Galaxy's greatest enemy. The Force - and with it, we recreate reality as we know it."
"Many would die - all of life, but the Sith free of the Force's manipulation would find themselves Gods in the New World. What sits before you is destiny manifest. Witness it, and weep."

The experiments were going slower than expected, the mutants were losing bits of their sanity. With some even showing signs of Psychopathy, Angonous was so busy with the elite soldiers that he was late to the Dark Council meeting. Wearing his Sith Lord Armor, Angonous arrived at the meeting fuming at the fact that he was late. He was always punctual but with the Mutants being out of control it became time consuming. "My apologies for my lateness," Angonous muttered in a whisper sitting down on his chair and leaning against the table. "There was some..... problems regarding the experimentation of the elite soldiers. What did I miss?"

The Dark Lord's silence was suddenly very thick as Darth Angonous Darth Angonous entered the congregation. His words were not curious, not adding to the depth of their discussion - they were distracting and ignorant. The Worm tolerated only excellence among his Dark Council, and Angonous had touched upon a nerve.
"You've missed destiny, Darth Angonous. You've missed the tolerance of my patience, missed the minimum of our requirements set out for you.", the Worm growled.
And darkness followed with him. The Dark Legate would feel its cold chill along his spine, the weight of the Emperors Gaze.
"Your mutants, your legions pale in comparison to that which we offer you now. Disappoint me again, and we will burn all that you've built with no hesitation. Silence yourself, child - and let's us appreciate craftsmanship manifest."
And just as quickly as the darkness manifested it would cease - but Angonous would notice the Praetorians nearest him would step a touch closer, watch him a bit closer.

Among the presences of the other members of the dark council, someone like Darth Ophidia was easily missed - Easily overlooked. The slender, hooded shape had followed along in silence, eyes fixed intently on the Worm Emperor, but her senses reaching everywhere.

That is, until the orb was displayed.

When the congealed sphere of darkness was unveiled, her senses focused entirely on it. She could sense the souls trapped inside it, and felt the closeness of the thin veil between this plane and the realm of the dead. She felt the breath of death upon the nape of her neck, and the tug of the damned souls she had trampled in order to return to the living. She fixated on the orb, as if it called out.

And it almost made a crack in her quiet exterior.

But the arrival of Angonus gave her a moment to regain her composure. She looked at the Dark Legate after he was scolded, somehow gloating with the barest twitch of a smile in the corner of her mouth. He had shown weakness before the Emperor, and rightfully been put in his place. Now he would either use his hatred to improve himself, or he would crumble.

And the strong would rise.

The Pale Assassin focused again on the Emperor, eyes unblinking.
Indeed, the strong would rise.

"Fascinating," she murmured as the Worm Emperor spoke about what the orb was and its potential use. A collection of souls killed in the wars fought throughout the last 800 years that could be used to fuel any number of powerful rituals, including the ultimate goal of the Worm and most Sith. Conquering the Force and rewriting reality to whatever they desired... it was always such an abstract goal.

The late arrival of Angonous caused a stir of anger from the Worm, and she felt some pity for the man. He still hadn't requested the assistance of some people in this room that could make his super solider project easier. But, she supposed he wanted to prove himself on his own first and that could be respectable to a point. She turned her attention back to the entity that ruled the room.

"May I?" she requested, her curiosity no doubt being felt by the Worm that she wished to examine it more closely. If allowed, she would approach it gingerly.
