THE CONFEDERACY OF THE SCAR WORLDS

Our Mission:
The Confederacy of the Scar Worlds has a simple set of goals.
  1. Rebuild the worlds lost to the scouring caused by the Brynadul.
  2. Resettle the worlds lost and create a stronger and more stable place out in the far reaches of Wild Space
  3. Remove and eliminate the remnants of those creatures that had brought such ruin and suffering to the Scar Worlds and Wild Space.
  4. Secure and ensure the continued protection and existence of the worlds that join the Scar Worlds.

To this end, the Confederacy seeks to not conquer or subjugate, and instead offer membership to the worlds broken by the Brynadul, and the people who had been genocided and forced from their homeworlds. Each world will be left in its Autonomy, the member states of the Confederacy holding power power in making decisions regarding Confederacy economic and military policies, while domestic and cultural policies remain untouched by the greater whole. The Confederacy will make it clear, they are not some Republic seeking to take from the people their rights to govern themselves, nor an empire simply seeking to subjugate and force peoples under its boot.

It is for that reason that the Confederacy seeks to make clear the Autonomy of the worlds through both its Civil, Scientific, Mercantile and Military divisions, only intruding when absolutely necessary for the continued and stable existence of the worlds under the Confederacy.

The Grand Assembly

The Grand Assembly is the political core of the Confederacy. Using the shell of the old Palace in the city of Tahv on Kesh, the new building is one that has been built up around the first seed planted during the resettlement of the planet. It serves as a symbolic promise to the members of the Confederacy that they will return the worlds to life, and bring their people back to their homes.

The Grand Assembly itself is made up of representatives from each of the governments that have joined the Confederacy, those with multiple worlds allowed subordinate members to ensure that every world's interests are present, even if only the ruling governments are given full seats. The power given to the Grand Assembly is only to make economic, political, and unified military decisions. No act can be passed by the assembly that would force upon the member worlds a change that would strip them of their cultural, societal or governmental autonomy.

It is for this reason, that member worlds retain the ability and rights to keep their own military forces, allowing for them to resist any attempt at tyrannical overstep by the Assembly should any group seek to control the whole of the Confederacy and its peoples.

The Confederacy Naval Forces

The Naval Forces of the Confederacy operate under a unified command structure, but pull technology and manpower from the member worlds. It is because of this fact that the navy of the Confederacy does not have one singular and unified list of ships or technology that is utalized. Often, operations are taken with a rather large mix of ships from different origins, both domestically produced and ships purchased through market deals or the open market. This creates a very flexible force that is not known for one specific method or doctrine.

The expertise of veteran commanders from both structured military academies, and the likes of pirates such as Aedan Miles Aedan Miles allows for this development of a force that is able to adapt and provide any number of solutions to the problem. Domestic Designs such as those from Keshiri Driveworks, licensed designs from the likes of Aurora Industries, and ships that have been 'liberated' through actions taken by the more criminally familiar elements of the Confederacy are common place sights in defending the worlds and the hyperspace lanes between planets.

While this disunified technology can cause problems when unfamiliar crews from other worlds are taken to supplement actions, it continues to foster the sense of independence and autonomy between the members of the Confederacy. In times of war though, the Confederacy will designate several grand admirals, ensuring that the actions taken by the Confederacy's naval forces does not fall into interplanetary squabbling between commanders trying to take command. These admirals designated by the Grand Assembly of the Confederacy.

The Grand Army of the Confederacy

The Grand Army of the Confederacy operates much in the same way as the Naval Forces, though a greater emphasis on the unity between ground forces is expected for the Army of the Confederacy. It is for this reason that Droids are often used on all member worlds to man the garrisons and do a large amount of the fighting. Droids are used in order to allow for more easily coordinated operations between different worlds and their officer core. While each world maintains their own planetary forces that will more often contain living soldiers and officers, the droids are used as a means to reduce the amount of casualties suffered by the worlds who have lost so many people already.

It is because of this that unlike the Navy, the models of droids are more unified, only select models approved for the use of the Army of the Confederacy to ensure that the quality of the Army maintains consistent and capable to react to danger and threats. Keshiri Driveworks, Aurora Industries, and Hekler'Kok Defense Industries remain the sole producers for weapons, vehicles, and droids used by the Grand Army of the Confederacy, with any future companies needing to be approved by a sixty percent majority vote in the Grand Assembly.

Finally, Special Forces and Force Trained units within the Grand Army of the Confederacy answer directly to the Army High Command, a group of commanders and generals designated by the Grand Assembly to oversee the more covert and sensitive missions taken by these groups. The recruitment of such individuals is entirely voluntary and only those vetted and tested are able to join the corp. Those who are unable to make the cut return to their homeworlds and their peoples to serve them dutifully in whatever roles they were already serving in.
