"9945-543, you're cleared for landing on pad 5." "Acknowledged control, pad 5." The ST-149 glided down and landed on one of the pads allocated for VIP Union personnel. The ramp lowered, and as usual, the Vernichten stepped out, followed by Director Ben Craig. The group proceeded towards the "Hilt" of the complex. They were met by the Bewachen who escorted them through the building. Once at the turbolift, the bewachen guards left them to meet the other Union personnel and escort them to their destination. Ben stepped out of the turbolift, his white cape flowing behind him. A left and a right, and he was at one of the the conference rooms saved for members of the Union High Command and esteemed guests. The doors were guarded by more Bewachen who nodded and opened the doors, "Captain Kresh, have you and your men take a walk, i'll let you know when the meeting has concluded." Nodding, his entourage left. He stepped into the room, the first to arrive. He walked over to one of the chairs and took a seat, pulling out a datapad and skimming through the latest updates he had put through for a order of a new modified uniform.

There was a small clack on the floor as he walked on by, holding over his right shoulder several tubes that contained various blueprints. He had been hard at work the past couple of weeks and this one he had been doing been occupying a large majority of his time. Being considered an esteemed guest or perhaps even part of the research team meant a tremendous amount of respect to him. He stopped on over to the security desk and was scanned, all his weaponry being removed before him as he nodded at the group then looked behind at the R4 unit that had been trailing him.

"Keep the engine running just in case."

The droid would give a confirmation beep and stroll away back towards his starship. It was right now a very old YT-1760 but it was mainly just for show. He had acquired it from a junkyard pile and it took little to no effort to fully repair. After a few minutes of checking all over his body and the tubes of blueprints, Haon was finally allowed into the briefing room as he carefully glanced side to side. This was highly unusual but then again, he never been in a high command meeting in his entire lifetime.

Going over to a nearby seat, he would slide into it as his outfit was a bit unusual but he still preferred to be comfortable rather than military based unless told otherwise. Taking one of the tubes, he would uncap and roll out the entire blueprint that was based on his new dreadnought project as he took a small pencil out and started to work on the design a bit more, having left the building materials in the hands of his team for the next few days.

A high definition holo projector turned on and the holo form of Tranquility appeared in her seat. Bodies were over rated. "Greetings" She continued her duties but had a eye turned towards this meeting. It was one with all the higher ups of the Union. Something of this Caliber of course had to have herself present. The ISB had become something under her and even know she was flexing the Union's might deftly to ensure that they were safe.

Tranquility read in all the input she could of the meeting, from the various devices that could record anything of note in the room. The steams of data being disected by her program as they observed the room. "I hope your trips here were expedient. It is good to see you all. " She tried to engage in what organics called small talk, she noted they liked it and it put them at ease so it was best to try some. Hopefully it would also help take up the time before everyone got here.

The three members of Clan Angiris took neighboring seats, with Tyrael Tyrael in the centre and Auriel Auriel as well as Malthael flanking him. Even though Imperius had refused promotions to achieve, in his own words, "maximum bloodbath", Technically the rest of them had enough clout to easily bring him along, but considering his rather prominent...link with the Sith that had been recently broken, They had come together to decide that it was better to leave him to his own devices. Not as if his intimidation would be useful on a diplomatic mission. Malthael simply couldn't help the slip that that bitter thought represented. Malthael and Imperius might've reconciled, but their differences were far from over.
BlpVHqS.png

The Holocomm Gear switching on served to snap him out of his thoughts. He observed, amused, as the people sitting around the table looked at the holoprojection of the Mandalorian Leader, paying careful attention to each word as if it was a deeply encoded mystery- and seeing as they were dealing with politics, it possibly even was.
BlpVHqS.png
Malthael made sure to take down notes. Tyrael was so disgustingly simple-minded when it came to politics, and Auriel's skill in the area would be counterbalanced by her excitement, undoubtedly making her forget major details in the process. Later, he'd make sure to pass on the holopad to her.
The apologies from the Mandalorian Leader, while noted down to the letter, were mentally dismissed as irrelevant. While their absence would've been rude and could've been a sign of things to come, their presence essentially invalidated their importance. The compliment, on the other hand, could have some serious implications. Was it just a casual accolade? Or was there perhaps a sinister undertone to the whole thing? He made sure to write down the exact phrasing and indicate the Tone of the speaker, even as he jotted down his own thoughts about the topic on the margin.
Pater knows how this meeting will go. I can only pray that It proceeds smoothly.

Tristan was extraordinarily happy with his new life. He was rich, powerful and most importantly...rich. And so when he walked into the meeting room, he bore an usual smile, something he rarely did.

"No need to apologize. Schesa is far from Network space. The trip is tiring, believe me" he had recently returned from Galactic Alliance space where he oversaw the final stages of refit for his prized flagship at the NZ Shipyards at Xa Fel.

"Also...Congratulations, Director Craig" he patted the former Joint Chief on the back for a job well done.

From the shadows beyond the entrance to the room, the rythmic thuds of solid feet upon the floor could be heard, yet, when the doors to the conference room slid open, the masked and armored man who entered wasn't escorted by the typical Bewachen, yet rather was followed by mechanical puppets known as the Sceleratis , their red eyes glowing in the dim lit room, they set themselves up at every pillar, presenting their black blades as if this were some ceremony.

The masked man looked with an icy, calm glance at each and every member present within this little circle, letting out a somewhat content huff as he sat down in one of the chairs, raising his hand for a bit when liquid streams of infinium converged into a globe floating above his hand. Calmly taking a small datapadout of his cloak, the man took a look at what he had yet to do and what was yet to be done for the Union to proceed onto the next phase. "Well now, I see most of you are present...though it seems the honorable Lord Ketzloff has yet to arrive," Glancing at both the Mandalorian present in the form of a hologram and Tranquility, who he already knew to be somewhat of an isolationist when it came to her true form, a very nice trait for those who are supposed to be spearheading every campaign of the ISB and have to remain shrouded from undesirables at all times.

"Director Craig...I hope you find your new station to be more fullfilling to your desires?" Apparently the former fleet admiral had decided to run as the leading figure in the more obscure parts of the military, as the one to roll with the research for weaponry and advanced science. It was a bit funny in hindsight, thinking about the fact that the man had access to nearly every research and development from the Nargath and Zanareth umbrella corporation as well. "I think my colleague and I may hope to expect great things from your new division. However, for the sake of your status in the military, I implore you maintain your presence within the supreme warcouncil equal to your former rank."

Leaning slightly backwards, all the while carefully caressing the maliciously pulsating red jewel on his chest, the masked man suddenly let out a sigh. "Now than...Let's start with the agenda, Director Craig, if you please..."

Walk with a sense of purpose. That was what Jarred's father had always told him. And he applied it to every aspect of his life. He did everything with a sense of purpose. He strode down the halls, his cape flowing. Many smirked at his cape, he took it in stride. Many said he donned the idea of wearing a cape from Director Craig. He made sure they were stationed on a forgotten world on protecting a forgotten garrison. Junior officers and technicians stepped out of his way when he walked through, perks of being the highest ranked individual he thought. The doors opened, and it seemed the meeting was about to be started. "My apologies, I was wrapping up the interview with the reporter." Technically Jarred didn't have to explain himself, another perk. He looked around the room, noticing Tranquility in her holo-form and the Mandalorian...also holo.

Ben looked up as the members and guests filed into the room. He nodded to Haon. "Hello Tranquility." He noted her arriving in holo form, not unusual but for a meeting of this caliber it seemed...out of place she would arrive in holoform. The man of the hour then appeared, via holo. "Ah, Mr. Australis or shall I say...Mand'alor, welcome, there's no problem with the holo." He made a quick mental note of the arrival over holo. "And so you shall." His seeing the place other than via holo would depend largely on the outcome of the meeting. Three large imposing individuals walked into the room Ben nodded. "Thank you fleet admiral Evore, I have many plans for the ISB." Next, the big boss entered. Ben wasn't sure exactly who the masked individual or his followers were but they did look intimidating. "Yes your excellency, my transition to the Intelligence and Security Bureau, and further the formation of the Military Department for Advanced Weapons Research has run quite smoothly." It had in fact not been as smoothly as he had liked, but it had happened nonetheless. Hopefully the masked man wasn't a sith or jedi and could read his thoughts....that would be quite disturbing. "Yes your excellency, I shall maintain my relationship with the Council." The other big boss then entered, abit less intimidating than the previous one...intimidating nonetheless however. Jarred Ketzloff had been one of Crag's top supporters in his decision of transferring to the ISB and the formation of the DAWR.

Ben Craig stood up, "Esteemed guests of the Union, members of the Union High Command, your excellencies, I thank you all for coming and meeting here today." He paused before continuing, "Laid on the table before each of you is a datapad containing Report #3389440...or more informally known as the
Craig Doctrine . Secretary Tranquility and Mr. Australies, a copy has been forwarded to your inboxes." He clasped his hands, "However, this is not the purpose of this meeting. Mr. Kaine Australis represents an organization known as The Network and has informed me of his willingness to bring his organization under the Union."

THE CIRCLE

Flanked on both sides by family members, Auriel was feeling more than just a little safe, and by extension, bold. Bold enough to give words to her thoughts, despite the fact that they could be interpreted to be offensive. The Union is willing to grant you these concessions and favours because we are hoping to induct a large number of Mandalorian Warriors into our ranks. I, however, find myself not particularly convinced by your personal assurances, and they have started to feel more like assuages. How can we be certain that our favours will not be repaid by treachery and disappointment?
BlpVHqS.png

A quick glance revealed that Malthael was taking down details of the events that occured. Good. A comprehensive review later, when she was longer in the heat of the moment, could highlight hidden possibilities. Well, now it was time to feth some more with the poor Mandalorian.
BlpVHqS.png
My knowledge of Mandalorian customs, limited as it might be, has revealed that the Mandalorian people value their individual freedoms and Independence. As such, the possibility of them going along with your orders and accepting any negotiations made with you are severely reduced. Now then, why should the Union recompense you to such a great degree when it is unlikely that you will be able to fulfill the conditions desired by the ZU?

Tristan's cold glare found itself on the face of Auriel Auriel . Was she an important asset to the Union? That remained to be seen as she openly stated the weaknesses of thier new allies. Was she stupid? No, no she was not.

"Why should we recompense them with a such a degree? I have an inquiry if you don't mind, General" he spoke softly to the gathered individuals before making a state!end which was true enough about the Mandolorian people.

"I've studied the people of Mandolore. Honestly, you and your people are everything I could ever hope to be. You are bound to your people and your traditions which make you the most respected and feared culture in the galaxy" he paused. She was right.

"But...can we count on you and your warriors?"

Credius calmly eyed the holographic representation of the spokesman of this Network faction, keen to listen to what their view on this...merger of sorts would be. After the events that lead to him leaving his homeworld, exiled not by his own accord or that of his people, but by the hands of the Confederacy of Independant Systems, the chancellor knew all to well the pain of seeing one's homeworld being ravaged by barbaric savages and inferior people. Just as the Mandalorians had their code of conduct, so too had the Eriaduans and though a few hyperlanes apart, those codes seemed to be rather similar when inspected closely. Both men and women had to be ready and prepared to fight, they had to steel their spirit and body for any adversity and while the mandalorians were brought down by brute force, the Eriaduans were bereft of their leader by intrigue and scheming. Yes, the Chancellor could foresee where the interests of the Network would lie and what they'd desire of the Zweihander Union, as such he could only show a sinister smile when hearing his subordinates discuss the matter, touching very clear and understandable qualms with reason and with dignity. It seemed he had indeed chosen well, those that were gathered in this room were worth their pay and their due.

"Lady Auriel, though your assumptions are most admirable and correct to a degree, one must never forget that Mandalorians are bound to a code of conduct, one which, should they disregard it, would bring shame upon them for many generations to come," Leaning forward, the golden and plastoïd mask the man wore shimmered in the dimmed lights, his eyes a blazing orange hue. With a calm demeanor the man clasped his hands together and let out a sigh. "General Kaine of Clan Australis, though you might think that the Zweihander Union lacks the experience, I have you know that the accumulated experience within this room is nothing to scoff at. However, I will not disagree that with the indoctrination and levying of new forces, a certain degree of inexperience may be on our hands. As such I want to make a proposal..."

For a moment, the man remained silent, looking at lady Auriel and her kin, Fleet admiral Evore, Director Craig, Lord Ketzloff and Tranquility's holo projection. Each of them had a say in this matter, some more than others, but still, if all went according to plan, Credius didn't doubt that they'd all agree with what he was about to say. "I wish to personally contract you and your best warriors. Not as mercenaries for war, but as mercenaries for peace. If we are to establish a form of trust and mutual respect, those must be earned and as such I wish for you and your warriors to be teachers and mentors to a new generation of soldiers. In return we're willing to allow you and those of your kin a base of operations on Schesa. How does this sound as preliminary terms for an agreement of future cooperation?"

Ben nodded and winced he should of known the man would've been addressed as general. The Mandalorians were warriors afterall. Nothing he could do not except to take that mistake and learn from it. He smiled at Auriel, she was known to be harsh at times and could be perceived by many as rude and condescending. What was ironic was she was the chief of the foreign affairs division. She was good at her work, she was straightforward, to the point, never one to cover anything up and always telling it as is. Ben didn't know if that would be good qualities for a supposed diplomat and essentially the spokesperson and image of the Union. She got the work done one way or another however.

Ben wasn't the best talker and wasn't the most informed about the culture and history of mandalorians except for their supposed warrior culture. He decided to sit back on this meeting and watch it unfold. If he was addressed or asked to offer an opinion, he would provide insight of course, but this wasn't his field of expertise, he'd let the head honchos talk.
