The Chorus of Chaos (Dominion Dom of Mandalore Hex)

Location: Taris Rakghoul Refugee camp
Objective: Cook.

" Haha! Thats right smell it. Take a big whiff of that steak!" Dr. Zalec slowly examined the steak he was cooking in front of him. Beautiful. It was one of many he had was preparing for the Rakghoul refugee camp. His mission was simple. Feed the poor and medically aid them.

" Smells good!" a man said look at the slab of meat cooking slowly. His mouth watering ever so slightly and his eyes got wide with excitement. Nourishment at its finest.
" Oh I know! Did you get your meds from my assistants? You did?!" The karkadon gave a toothy grin and lifted the steak from the grill and slapped it onto a metal plate.

" ENJOY!"

Rightful Galactic Emperor
Things were seemingly going quite swimmingly. Abraxas and the Stormtroopers cut down swarm after swarm of the abominations without significant issue. Vorian felt a odd tingle on the back of his neck and hardly a moment later, did a horde of Rakghouls come barreling into the flank of the Stormtroopers. Basic tactics. A impressive display of intelligence for such feral beasts.

The Dominion soldiers fought valiantly, but took their fair share of knicks. One of the Rakghouls leaped towards the Arkanian, forcing him to ignite his lightsaber and dodge a swipe from one of it's dripping claws before cutting it into bits. By the time this last trick of the beasts were defeated, the Dominion troopers had taken a decent portion of casualties, more than they had expected.

One of the men laid on his back, helmet removed and blonde hair matted with an admixture of blood and sweat. He was a young conscript, clutching a wound from a Rakghoul on his arms, sputtering and pleading to his comrades who all wore grim expressions.

Vorian looked to [member="Abraxas"] figure.

"What do you make of this?"

As the last of the beasts were slain and a quiet spread over the combat zone, Abraxas turned to face the gathering of soldiers all staring at one of their comrades who had been inflicted with a wound given to him by one of the Rakghoul. The young man's face was one of fear and worry, an expression the former Sith had seen many-a time in his past of murder and conquest. There was no pity, no sympathy felt for the already doomed soldier.

A decision needed to be made, and it wouldn't be one in favor of sparing the lad's life. he clock was ticking, and soon enough another outbreak could begin if not handled.

Walking over to the trooper, Abraxas stood over him and merely glared from behind his helmet. This was playing God, deciding life or death.

Fate in the flesh.

"His time is running out, and I believe everyone here knows what will happen if this isn't contained." Abraxas turned and glanced at the Stormtroopers still standing.

"Fate does not apologize, boy. It is a blunt mistress that will leave you with no other workarounds. I do not apologize either."

The darkly clad man raised his greatsword over the lad's dome, waiting. "Perhaps it would be more humane to watch you suffer and turn, at least that way you won't be be conscious of the end that is death, or even aware of who you are anymore."

Abraxas looked to the Arkanian, searching for his sentiment.

"Captain Wills here, sir, we have landed and the 3rd is on the ground."
"That's the best damn news I've heard all day."
"Sir, are moving out now and we will keep you updated on our situation down here. This planet looks like hell."
"Got it, We'll provide support from here, Happy hunting Captain."
The coms went dead, the main bridge was filled with the quiet chatter of officers and crewmembers to one another. Admiral Harris stepped from the window at the front of the bridge, he glanced to the second bridge across out the left windows. He looked calmly, quietly, and still. His eyes were tired and heavy, but the youthfulness was still there. He hadn't slept in days, hadn't spoken to his family, or any civilians for that matter.
As the admiral turned and walked down the center of the bridge, supportive nods and strong salutes came from the crew of the bridge. He entered the elevator and pulled out a com-pad.
"Captain Wills, I need you to go independent for a while, your orders stand. I haven't so much as napped in days, I will contact you when I wake."
"Copy sir, rest kindly."
The elevator stopped and The exhausted admiral stepped heavily to the hallway, he walked up, straight and proper all the way to his quarters. He approached the door and opened it, it slid shut behind him. This was his first time visiting his new quarters since the ship transfer and reward 2 days ago, and the first rest in 3 days.
The admiral locked the door and unzipped his uniform, pulling the code cylinders and rank tags, he placed the tags and cylinders on the table then proceeded to slip into nightwear. A knock at his door was answered shortly, a young crew member came to collect the uniform for cleaning. Harris handed off the clothes and sat on the bed, his eyes heavy and filled with anticipation all at once. He pulled a holopad out and a woman's face appeared on the screen.
"Hi William, I just wanted to let you know I miss you so much and can't wait for you to come back to Mirial."
He smiled and whispered, "I miss you too honey," for the first time in weeks he smiled. Harris put down the Holopad and lay it on the shelf above his head, next to his medals He lay down, pulled the blanket, and for the first time in weeks, began to sleep normally.

The scream made the youth halt, if only for a moment.

he took the brief moment of respite to scramble up from beneath the warrior, bumbling up to his feet a few paces away. It seemed the mental tear had accomplished its purpose, but now his opponent's mind was little more than a wicker bin set alight. There were no walls to shatter because their remains were on fire. There were no more cracks to take advantage of because the warrior had shattered the barriers of his own mind. He'd embraced the insanity.

"This could be troublesome." Cedric mumbled as he pawed his father's weapon. The beast was going to charge at any moment, and Cedric suspected that another flexing of his mental faculties would only anger the creature further.

The lightsaber hissed as it came to life.

Rather than charge, Cedric stood his ground. His entire body ached from the beating he had taken, and his neck was raw from the near-strangulation, yet he retained his air of confidence. The blade was held close to his body, his legs spread to provide himself with a wide center of gravity.

The beast would come, and he would answer.

Objective: Oversee preparations for battle

There were few times where Zaz took command of a cruiser, let alone one as grandiose the PLS Abomination. Standing on the bridge of the ship Zaz watched the monotonous routine of the deck officer's and their specialists. Unimpressed by the display Zaz had his eyes set on the dancing lights of hyperspace that sped past the bridge's viewports. The Captain of the ship approached him, his arms clasped behind his back as he spoke to the Mandalorian. "Commander, We're pulling out of hyperspace now. It seems that our soldiers are already engaged in battle on the planet."

This did not surprise Zaz, at full strength or not The Dominion would be fast pressed to get this mission over with. Combating plagues and Rakghouls was nothing short of a bloody chore that even Zaz found to be the work of butchers. Killing capable soldiers were one thing, slaughtering diseased beasts was entirely different. The Abomination gave a violent shift as it was pulled out of hyperspace outside of Taris' atmosphere.

"Captain, bring the ship into the planet's atmosphere, we're going to be doing some low orbit insertion. I want the Abomination in place for providing fast air support." The officer nodded at the Mandalorian before turning to his own responsibilities. As he did Zaz turned from the deck, making his way to the main hanger.

Bhakt Wemk

The Prospective Weapon Master
Klaxons sounded throughout the ship as the Abomination dropped out of hyperspace. Bhakt was already in the hangar ready for the drop. The crusade of the Dominion marched on and they where here for Taris today. Most of the Dominion forces were already on the ground. They were to go down and provide support and reinforcement.

Bhakt had never set foot on the planent himself but almost everyone in the galaxy knew the old tale of the tragedy of Taris. Though Bhakt couldn't say he wept for the fallen planet. All he had ever heard of was how xenophobic the human population of Taris had been in those days. If the place still existed Bhakt doubted he'd even be allowed to walk to upper levels. That didn't matter now, as all the planet was even meant to used for was a garrison and a refueling stop.

The squad he was to accompany finally arrived and they began to load their gear onto the dropship. Bhakt helped them where he could as they waited for the overall commander to arrive. A Mando that Bhakt had heard a bit about, [member="Zaz Tal'Verda"].

Objective: Load onto the shuttles

Before he could even see the main hangar Zaz could hear the echoing sounds of preparation. Once he made it inside the hangar he watched as the soldiers around him worked fast to load the shuttles with the equipment they would need for their mission. Normally he would give a before mission briefing, but this time there would not be that luxury, he would have to brief them as they flew down. Rather than oversee the individual loading of each ship Zaz made his way to the nearest shuttle, glancing at the pilot who seemed to be checking the integrity of the shuttle's wings.

His eyes fell on the squad before him. Nearly ten Legionnaires, clad in the armor of The Dominion's shock troopers. They moved expertly and seemed prepared for their gritty assignment. One of the soldiers, a Nikto by the looks of him, stood out among the others. As such Zaz approached the man, gesturing to him before resting his hand on his blaster pistols.

"This is Gamma Squad, right?" He asked, however only seconds later his comm device beeped softly in his ear. He tapped the button on the side of his buy'ce. "What?" He demanded, a hint of aggravation in his voice.

"Sir. We're entering the atmosphere now." Zaz nodded to himself before speaking back into his helmet's device. "Good. Keep the engine's running Captain, this shouldn't take long." Slaughters seldom did.

Returning his attention to the Nikto before him he cleared his voice before offering him a hand. "Commander Tal'Verda. I'll be running with your squad today."

Bhakt Wemk

Bhakt grunted as he loaded another crate of power packs onto the carrier. He looked up and saw an important looking mando approach the squad. He asked Bhakt if this was Gamma squad. He remembered one of the soldiers had mentioned that he was part of gamma squad.

"Yep Gamma squad here."

Bhakts comm came open a second after Zaz's with a ship wide message that they were breaching atmo. He grunted again as he loaded the final box of ammo and grabbed his vibro ax and strapped it to his back. He returned the mando's handshake and greeting.

"Names Bhakt. I'm not with the Dominion armed forces proper. I'm here as help from enclave on Eol Sha. Though I have to admit I prefer a straight fight like this to sitting around the temple mediating."

Bhakt boarded the ship and took a seat ready to hit the ground.

Objective: Depart from the ships

When the Nikto bent down to grab a crate of ammo Zaz bent down to aid him in pushing it into the shuttle. Once the two had recovered the soldier made a remark about preferring combat to meditation. Rather than immediately comment on his words he simply gave him a clap on the back. "I wish I could say this will be a more honorable fight. No, It's an extermination duty."

As their shuttle's engine came to life and the dorsal doors were slid shut Zaz watched his men load into their seats. Rather than take a seat he activated his comm unit, linking up to each and every soldier preparing to deploy. "This is Commander Tal'Verda. We'll be landing on Taris soon. You all know the reason we're here. Quick insertion and mass extermination. We'll be landing in a sector of the planet surrounded by ruins. It will be tight, not a lot of moving room, and crawling with Rakghouls. Because of this armored and air support will be limited. So basically we're jumping into hell without a jump pack. Watch your sectors of fire, maintain your lines, and watch each others backs."

With that Zaz deactivated his comm, feeling a soft shift as his shuttle made its way out of the hanger and began it's descent towards Taris.

"Eh at least I'll get some exercise then"

Bhakt responded to the Mando's comment about an extermination run. The shuttle doors closed then and the ship rumbled as the engines came online. Bhakt watched as Zaz gave a speech to the troops about to descend onto Taris. It was good, hell better than anything the Nikto could have mustered up.

The ship roared to life then and sped out of the Abominations hangar. The gathered drop ships raced toward the assigned LZ. Out of the view port Bhakt could see some of the other Dominion forces already engaged with the vicious vermin that called the planet home. The Rakghouls came in swarms it seemed and he honestly hoped that his own troops could maybe draw some of the attention off of those already fighting.

Only a few minutes later the ship's landing light activated and opened it's dorsal doors. The dropships wouldn't land, just hover low enough so the drops could unload. Bhakt hopped out first followed by the squad.

"Well, let's get work boys"

Objective: Engage the enemy

There were not a lot of things that could go wrong in a quick insertion on a basically hostile planet right? Wrong. As Zaz had found out their Intel on the number of Rakghouls in the area was insanely wrong. Where they thought a few dozen Rakghouls rested there laid nearly a hundred. Outnumbered three to one Zaz watched as his men opened fire on the Horde of Rakghouls that attempted to overrun their landing zone. Once everyone had dismounted Zaz made his way to the front, his hands gripping around the hilt of his vibroblade.

Immediately two Rakghouls rushed forward, both trying to leap onto the Mandalorian. Rather than counter them he leaped back from them, tapping a button on his gauntlet. His jet pack came to life, propelling him a few feet off the ground, allowing him to narrowly miss the attack. Angling his body back towards the ground the Mandalorian's pack cut off. As he fell back to the ground his vibroblade landed into the skull of the nearest Rakghoul. As his blade made a loud cracking sound and impacted into the beasts skull Zaz kicked the second Rakghoul, the heel of his boot causing a nasty dent in it's shoulder. "Come on you grub worms!"

Bhakt Wemk

The Prospective Weapon Master
Bhakt soon realized he had very much understated the need to get to work. At least a hundred of the vermin waited for them on the surface and the men and women around him opened fire immediately despite being outnumbered. The Nikto growled and leaped into the fray. He focused inward drawing the force to himself, remaining calm despite the pain and suffering around him. He felt the call of the dark, but ignored it. His time with the Dominion had truly done wonders for him and he stepped to the front and set his ax to work.

Beast came from all sides and Bhakt let the Dominion army handle any that were out his reach. He would be an immovable wall, with any Rakghoul that approached it would receive a taste of Bhakt's ax. The force seeming guided his movements. A swing severed a limb to his right, the follow through on the same swing would tag another beast in the belly. A Rakghoul leaped at him from behind another and Bhakt rotated his ax to bat the sickly creature away and he continued the motion to make his ax spin and take another creatures head as it went in for a bite at his ankle.

On and on Bhakt fought, the force his constant ally as much as the soldiers that fought around him.

Objective: Advancing...

Rakghoul after Rakghoul was dispatched until the initial wave was nothing more than a memory. With the main force of Rakghouls destroyed their was now a slow trickle of the beasts that attacked their squad. Zaz embedded his vibroblade into a Rakghouls chest, forcing his boot onto the monster's chest to push it from his blade. "Keep moving! Do not let these things bite you." He called out as they made their way towards what appeared to be a city block. The Rakghouls could be seen working into a frenzy as the soldiers pressed their attack.

Zaz took a moment of pause and looked to the buildings surrounding them. He very much wished that the ruins were already collapsed as most of the surrounding buildings were....because now they had to clear these buildings. Making his way down the street a blood curling screech could be heard as another wave of Rakghouls assaulted the group. Again Zaz activated his jet pack, allowing him to hover over the creatures. "Take them out!" He yelled as he aimed his gauntlet at the group of beasts. Flames erupted from his gauntlet, covering the pack in a mixture of chemicals and a fiery inferno.

Bhakt Wemk

The Prospective Weapon Master
Bhakt just took in a deep breath as one final Rakghoul fell off his ax. The exertion had taken a bit out of him so he backed off the front as the soldiers took over and cleared out any stragglers. Bhakt closed his eyes and centered himself and allowed himself to fall into the eb and flow of the force. He used this time to essentially refuel himself as he had been learning to do. After a minute he opened his eyes and continued on with the extermination.

The moved into what used to be the city proper, and old building towered around them. Suddenly a bone chilling scream was unleashed from somewhere unseen and once again the beasts were on them in force. Bhakt fell back into the force moved forward. Something drew him to a side street and just past the wall of Rakghouls that streamed down the alley he could see the source, a large hole in the alley. Bhakt kept up the fight and yelled over the ruckus on his comm.

"Found a hole these bastards are flooding out of! Get heavy weapons over here now! If we can blow it we can slow down their advance!"

Still levitating off of the ground thanks to his jet pack, Zaz heard Bhakt's call over the comm channel and immediately looked for the Nikto. His eyes found him in an adjacent alley, fending off a small horde of his own. "Defensive maneuver, cover us. And get some rockets over here." Zaz allowed his jet pack to cut off once he reached Bhakt's side. Again his vibroblade flew, this time severing the lower jaw off one of the creature's. Immediately he drew his sidearm, a blaster pistol tucked snugly on his waist. Two blaster bolts to the creature's chest left it laying dead on the ground.

Just as Bhakt and Zaz seemed to be taking off a bit more than they could chew two Legionnaires joined them on their flank. "Sir, heavy weapons as requested." Zaz immediately gestured towards the hole where the Rakghouls continued to flood out from. "Cave it in!" The two soldiers shouldered their rockets, firing them off towards the Rakghoul tunnel.

As the explosion was set off the tunnel did indeed cave into itself, yet it continued to crack and disperse all the way into the building's main structure. "Oh kark..." Zaz muttered before grabbing Bhakt's shoulder. "It's coming down, get back to the street!" He called before rushing back to the road as the building began to cave into the alley.

Bhakt Wemk

The Prospective Weapon Master
Soon after Bhakt made the call for heavy weapons Zaz came to his side helping the Nikto fend off the onslaught of Rakghouls that spewed from the hole. The heavy weapons arrived just as Bhakt disemboweled another beast. Not a moment too soon as even the two commanders seemed as if they'd be overrun. The Legionnaires aimed their missile launchers and let fly. The blast of the rockets sent Rakghoul and debris flying through the air. Bhakt smiled for a moment as it seemed his theory about the hole was right. He watched it cave in on it self, the result even pulled a few of the creatures down with it. His mirth was short lived however as the rumbling continued and the Nikto didn't have to be told twice to move his ass.

He ran for his life as glass and debris started to fall around him. He batted away a brave Rakghoul as it tried to leap on him. Bhakt finally made it back to the main street just as the buiding groaned and gave way to the stress. It collapsed in a cloud of dust and smoke that obscured the street. The collapse had slowed the beasts but they could still be heard howling and screaming, now completely out of site. Bhakt cursed as his plan had turned into a major disadvantage for the Dominion legion.

"Switch to thermals if you've got them! They're still out there!"

Objective: Countering the Rakghouls

Wielding his blaster pistol in his left hand and his vibroblade in his right Zaz took a position in the center of the street. His men had taken up a defensive position yet something was off. Where the Rakghouls had been flooding in from several directions they now seemed to be screeching and moving to surround them. Though their position was not ideal they were more than capable of fending off the attack. Aiming his blaster pistol for the nearest Rakghoul he quickly discharged several shots into the creature's torso.

"Sir!" A Legionnaire called out to him, his hand pointed towards the building that had just collapsed behind them. Zaz turned back to see that the lower floors of the building were still in tact, and now like ants swarming from a disturbed ant pile they oozed out of the top in a ravenous manner. "Cover our flank." He called out to his men as he turned towards the newest threat.

Thank the Force (even though she couldn't use it) she could delegate the more mundane stuff, but determining which level of management a given dossier or project was appropriate to be handled at was often key here. But then again, in the rush of getting the project on Taris forward, she forgot about something key. Staffing. She just asks the staff already present here to handle just that, knowing that, even though astromechs were critical, so were the sentient personnel.

The system rippled with the massive fleet that exited Hyperspace. The largest standing army in the Dominion and loyal only to the Archlord. The Ashe Army had arrived to render aid to their sovereign leader. On the bridge of the Battle Cruiser, stood two men and a droid. The man in front wore a Dark Ash colored uniform and Dominion Cog on his sleeves. His cap showed him as a Lord of the Dominion, the distinct whitish grey of the cap notified him as a lesser lord. There were only two Lesser lords in the whole Dominion, one of whitish was Drox Fuga. He wore a black Imperial Intelligence Cap with the same cog embroiled in the center. Behind the Lesser lord were his two most trusted Generals, the Human Corillian and Ex-Sith Fieldmarshal General Denar Clegor and Commander Twoozer a UTC Droid General on loan from his Corperate Ally Jaster Awaud.

"Inform the Archlord that the Ash Army has answered his call to arms, the uneducated disloyal in the kishuba system have been squashed and the system is now totally loyal to the Dominions Protection." Drox informed the other fleets in the area. He then turned to his holo-table and looked to his generals to form a strategy to plug the wholes in his allies lines.
