Public The Children of the Force

High Inquisitor of the Empire

The galaxy is a big place. Trillions of beings go about their lives, and it was far from uncommon for one of those beings to disappear without a trace.

But a child? That drew attention.

Yet that attention only lasted so long. Eventually, the galaxy must move on, at least until the next disappearance

Then again, what happens if multiple children go missing at once? Snatched away by cloaked figures in the middle of the night, never to be seen again?

Eventually, someone will go looking. They might not like what they find.

Near the very edge of the Mid Rim lay Wobani, a desolate world that has been largely abandoned since the fall of Palpatine's Empire so long ago. Occasionally, warlords or various pirate gangs will make the planet their home only to find it to out of the way for any long-term settlement. One might think the former prison colony might be lost to the void, but again this backwater has resurfaced as a point of interest. Systems across the Parlemian Trade Route have reported the kidnapping of their young, some no older than a year. The purpose of these kidnappings was a mystery, no ransom was ever requested of these families and the targets were seemingly taken at random.

Until one family heard from their missing son. It was a brief holo recording, much of the transmission is illegible, except for the following:

Wobani. Soldiers. Captives.

While not much to go on, several private investigators were dispatched to Wobani to investigate these claims. None returned, but they have all disappeared near an ancient mineral refinery on the planet's northern continent. It appears the facility has now been occupied by a significant military presence and they will destroy any approaching vessel.

With no help coming from the governments of affected worlds, families have come together to offer a desperate plea (and a significant number of credits) for the return of their lost children. The task will be perilous as anyone brave enough to attempt to enter the facility must do so on foot, lest they face the wrath of nearby air defenses.

Infiltrate the Facility. Save the Children.

Sometimes it was impossible to keep a padawan at arm's reach. like now for instance. Catronia had been visiting the nearby planet of Saleucami on a standard training mission with her master. While walking the streets of the capital she met a family who had a pair of twins go missing. Supposedly the children were simply snatched from their beds by some silent figure. After hearing that story she struck out on her own, training be damned!

After a lengthy investigation the padawan discovered many ships chartered all towards Wobani. It seemed as likely a place to look as any to look though, she'd have to be extremely careful, being a lone padawan on a virtually unknown planet. Who knew what horrors could befall her on this barren rock?

Soon her eyes beheld a terrifying sight, the Imperial insignia. Banners were hung all over the structure before her, and her heart sank. She was expecting a hovel full of pirates, not the Empire! Catronia quickly ducked down behind an outcropping of rocks, her hand over her mouth to try and quiet her breathing. Fear gripped the young Sarkhai as she huddled herself into the rocks. This was exactly the kind of thing her master warns her about for going off all alone. Now she was but one fledging Jedi against dozens of Imperial troops.

Catronia closed her eyes and inhaled slowly, trying to swallow down the lump in her throat. She had to be strong, this wasn't about her, she had to find proof that it was the Empire taking these children.

But who was going to save her...
