The Bad [Invite Mini-Event]

[Dr. Jaden Corvello]

Location: AMBER Quarantine Refugee and Research Facility
Time: 1036

Blaster Fire could be heard through the Corridors of the facility as the security personal and the Trade Droids fought off the raiders. She was unsure what they were after, let alone how they were able to get past the Quarantine Riot Guards that were provided by the government, but they were here now. She gathered all her data on a Data Cylinder encoded with tri-level firewall and key code terminal access. Once all the data was completed she pulled the cylinder and pressed the red button next to her terminal. This released a virus that corrupted all her findings and the somewhat stable cure that broke down the substance that they designated AMBER.

“Doc, we need to go now, they almost pushed up to the entrance, we need to get you to the loading dock and get you out of here.” One of the Trade Private Police officers stated.

“I am done here Sarg-” She started.

*BOOOMM*

The officer went on his radio, then looked to the doctor. “The first wave has breached the maintenance bay and the entrance, me and my men will hold them off in the main hall, get to the loading docks Doc.” He and his men peeled off to head to the main hallway that the raiders were charging into.

She had no choice and decided to head the other direction. The hallways outside the Data Office was filled with blaster fire. On one end there was criminal raider, they wore an assortment of armor, they were organized however, and that was strange enough. The other end of the hallway, the security forces were being pushed back to the loading dock, and were losing ground to the much larger force. Standing in the doorway she had no other choice, looking for a break in the fire, she jumped out into the array of blue and red bolts streaking across the hallway. Dodging all the shots that were exchanged, she made it to the other side and made it into one of the Refugee Living areas that was on the other side.

This was the last reported sighting of Doctor Jance, that was almost 30 min ago and the battle within the facility was still being exchanged. The Loading Docks were held by the security Forces, The main entrance was held by the raider loyal to Terrance, and the Maintenance Bay was being pushed in by an unknown group who were working together, but now seemed to have their own agenda.

Many of each parties forces had pockets of resistance all over the facility. Groups who were cut off, or even search parties looking for the doctor who were behind enemy lines. All together though, the main hallways were where the main combat was being hashed out. There in the hallways of the main Facility, blaster fire, explosives, and rockets could be heard as the medical and refugee center slowly turned into a Trench Warfare as each group would not push or fall back until the doctor would be found.

Masterra Faction:

The recent spread of AMBER at Prospect Point has overran one of the Quarantine Refugee and Research Bases. The Base was evacuated and locked down by a joint of Corporation and Organizations. However, a Research team and a large Quarantine Security Team were left behind to find a cure for the ones stuck in the AMBER.

A recent transmission from the team was scattered at best, and showed signs of being Jammed. The United Trade Conglomerate, Amber Quarantine Department, and Commenoran Government believe the lead scientist, a Dr. Jaden Corvello, has strong evidence of a way to free the ones Ambered. A team of Conglomerate Private Police and Commenoran Knights were dispatched, but have not been heard from in over 12 hours and their pilot has not returned. A new rescue team has to be brought together and sent to the Research Base to retrieve the Doctor.

Terrance Faction:

The breach of the Research Base Walls was a success, it stalled those nerds from discovering a way to break the AMBER. Terrance wants to make as much money as he can off this little auction, and if it gets cured before he can do so, we don't get paid.

It seems a Dr. Jaden Corvello found something, and our spy in the base stated she was close to finding something. Our Jammers in the area are still in effect and communication with those pesky Government Types is scattered. They sent a force in to retrieve the little genius, but Spike here was able to tag it with a rocket. Unfortunately, the base knows we are coming in to get them, and thus the doctor may be hiding. Get in there, kill who you need to, and get that doctor back here. Boss want to know what they know.

Amber it was sticky...and once you were within it...you were done

From what she heard, this was similar yet...it wasnt like the stuff your find on a tree no it was much worse. Called upon to help retrieve a doctor that had a possible cure for this horrible infliction, stardust agreed to go into battle leaving her husband and child behind. She called upon a old "friend" to come and help her, a test of his loyalty to her as he had pledged.

She sat in the shuttle. Looking at her helmet she brushed over the visor, how many conflicts had this armor seen? How many had it seen sliced down or fallen by its user? How many comrades had it seen die? Stardust blinked as she looked to those gather before she put her helmet on her head and allowed it to lock in and cover her lekku.


so anyone have a plan for when we go in? If not I guess pushing the attackers back and giving some relief to people wouldnt ge a bad idea

She pulled out her westars and checked them over before they went back into their holsters one by each of her sabers. Her right arm transformed into the gun form as she pulled the clip out and nodded placing it back in. Only thing not secured to her side was her sword nova which sat within its sheath secured and ready

Having finally decided to get involved with the events of the Galaxy, Vulpesen had kept an ear out for things that the VSF might need to handle. Of course, there were always slaver rings, crime syndicates, and sith domination that plagued the galaxy. But every now and again, something big would happen, something that demanded his attention. The Amber situation was one of those things. He'd been preparing his vitae for such mission as this, and the second that distress signal popped up, a squad of VSF forces was loaded into the Vixen.

Dropping out of hyperspace outside of the facility, Vulpesen landed his ship at the dock and started out to meet the situation. Behind him,he had brought eight men from the VSF, two fireteams that would follow his command to the letter to help save the poor folks that had been caught in the middle of all this. "Alright boys, keep your heads down and your ears up. I doubt we'll be trading anything but shots with out enemies in here." With affirmation from each of the soldiers brought with him, Vulpesen started towards the facility, his lightsaber in hand.

She heard reports of this infection and she couldn't let it spread or run the risk of it infecting more people or worse reaching her brothers and sisters, She landed in a shuttle along with [member="Vulpesen"] and the hope of others coming to help she brought the heavy arsenals with her this time and was ready to go she met up with Vulpesen in her armor before talking to him. Lisset Australis reporting and at your disposal, Just point me where you want me or if you want something blown up. She was never good at judging tactics by herself so she entrusted herself to this man and his soldiers for deployment, She checked the ammo in her guns before continuing to follow him using her H.U.D to scan for any enemies or surprises along the way as she kept with them and kept her guard up.

Domino gazed out at the ships assembled in orbit from the bridge of her Immobilizer cruiser and briefly considered that it was easier to negotiate mining rights with dead people than living ones. This amber stuff was probably valuable in its own right as well… Only for a moment though, she knew she had a soft spot for the independent colonist who preferred to not be beholden to the great powers. After all, putting actual people ahead of her own interests was why there was a statue of her at Polis Massa and not a Jedi’s or a Sith lord.

Pointing a hand towards the planet before them, she signaled he captain to give the advance order and the ship’s sublight came up sending a faint vibration through the decking. On either side of the Immobilizer and slightly ahead, a Nimix Heavy Cruiser took up position. They would catch anything advancing on the under-gunned entrapment ship with their heavy tractor beams and bombard them with a mix of ion cannons and turbolaser batteries. Anything that looked like it might get through would be met by the fighter screen the trio of ships were now launching as well as get a dose of heavy ordinance from the cruisers. After the fighters, each cruiser launched the ten Revelations they carried to provide their own screens while the ten spare that had accompanied them in hyperspace made a last defensive line for Domino’s ship. With this she was fairly confident that her Outer Rim Resource fleet could push in and secure the orbitals, prevent the pirates from escaping, and lend ground support if needed.

Present Time
Loading Dock 1

Domino's Sigma shuttle touched down just outside the loading dock along with five of the Revelations. Each unloaded ten black and grey armored marines before leaving to take up a CAS patrol both to act as an early warning for the blockade in orbit and to support the sixty troops that had just landed. The men and women worked in near perfect unison and (outside their helmets) perfect silence as they took up defensive positions. The Twi'lek for her part was also fully armored and carried her pikesaber along with a variety of other weapons which she casually checked as she made her way inside with the squad that had disembarked with her from her now-gone shuttle.

From the loading dock blaster fire could be heard from further in the facility but Domino instead looked at those already present. Spotting [member="Vulpesen"] she made her way to him. They were on decent, if distant terms if she remembered right. "Valde," she greeted him with a nod. "It's good to see that I'm not the only one to answer the call, and with more than just a blaster." She looked to his troops and used the imaging software on her armor to send a picture of them to her troops command net. Hopefully there wouldn't be any friendly fire incidents from her folk now. "Do you know the situation or who's in charge?"

What was Candez even doing? He had been spared and yes, he had work now. But now he was about to get into some action, and he could only guess that [member="Stardust Bloodstone"] still had a bit out for him. So when she had called upon him, he was most surprised. With him he brought Yam, part of his crew who had also encountered Star and her forces. He had all the gear he needed, and a prosthetic limb given by Star. It was comfortable for him, felt like it had been there for a while. Star spoke, and he put on a smug look.

"Still not sure why you called me" He murmured to her. As for the plan. "I can get up high with this" he said, shouldering his repeater rifle. "And Yam here will stick to the ground, he'll keep them pinned." Yam made a gruff sound, rubbing a hand over the barrel of his DLT-19.

Tom would land with the others in a shuttle. He knew of [member="Lisset Australis"] and [member="Vulpesen"] one was from his clan the other was a business partner of his dad. He had been present when the signing of the contract. He would smile at the both of them. He would send out the probe to find out where the enemy where before turning to Vulpesen. "You seem to know what you are doing. I am ready just say the word and I can do what is needed." He would say with a smile he didn't know the rest of the people present but he would help where he could.

Thus far the resistance had been utterly pitiful.

The appearance of the Dark Jedi Master swayed the battle in favour of those under the employ of [member="Terrance Olavi"]. While death troopers made short work of the security teams defending the facility's entrance; Drakar had approached the large durasteel door and curled his hand into a fist, tearing it off of its frame, before swiping his arm to the right and sending the slabs of metal flying into a corner. At the moment, they were trying to push deeper into the building, though every attempt up until then had been thwarted by security personnel and independent mercenaries.

A crimson blade swept in a wide arc, slicing through the torsos of a group of guards, causing their corpses to crumple down onto the floor. "Captain! Get your men to cover the hallways and the flanks!" Inquisitor Drakar commanded towards the direction of a death trooper with both a pauldron and a kama, receiving a nod of acknowledgement from the man as he began issuing orders through his helmet's scrambler. The high inquisitor began retreating behind his forces and those of his allies, sending a crackling torrent of Force lightning at another group of enemy soldiers, incinerating them.

The man crouched down, deflecting any stray blaster bolts with his lightsaber, while he fiddled with his comlink. "Rear Admiral Marsch, bring the Vengeance into the system. I want space superiority and air support within half-an-hour, no foe is leaving this planet alive." The blind master hissed into the device, pocketing it so he could return to the battle. The Emperor had personally assigned him to this mission, and as the civil war raged on, it was one he was not going to fail.

Multiple hyperspace signatures could be detected over the world as an Imperial battlecruiser, followed by a squadron of escort cruisers, reverted into realspace. The command ship, the INV Vengeance, was a Praetor Mark V-class star battlecruiser with an imposing profile, surrounded by four Vindicator IV-class escort cruisers. They kept their distance from the enemy vessels already present but began steadily drifting towards them after they completed their formation.

It was going to be a bloodbath.

Vulpesen looked around at the other arrivals, his tail flicking behind him in curiosity as he surveyed their resources. Then, the unexpected happen. Two of them had come to him as if he were a leader, and another was using his title and asking if he knew the specifics of the situation. It wasn't exactly a foreign feeling as years of having the jedi title, and more recently, controlling a planet had made this a natural place for him. Still, to be looked to by people he barely knew was an odd thing in a place like this.

"I like this one. Can we keep her?" Garlan's banter snapped Vulpesen out of his thoughts and he turned to face the Zorren who was now pointing towards [member="Lisset Australis"]. Of course the demolitions expert would like the explosive loving mando.

"Garlan..."

"Sorry Boss."

Turning his attention back to the others, Vulpesen watched as Taff's probe went out. "Well, I don't have all the information, but it appears the scientists are under attack, and or held hostage by whatever terrorists have been orchestrating this Amber incident. My boys and I are hoping to rescue these hostages as well as recover information on the AMBER devices. Anyone with tech experience would be appreciated." He started to walk towards the entrance to the main building of the facility, his mind reaching out with the force to sense the lives beyond the barrier of walls. "As for whos in charge, I don't know that anyone is. But I'm happy to offer advice as needed. With the exception of y'all. I pay your salary." With the last two statements, he motioned towards the vitae forces that had joined him on this mission.

Stardust said hitting the bench she sat on glaring at him with that same feral look as when she took his arm. This wasnt some petty revenge like when they met his was important to her

I brought you along because your the best I got currently, you have a lot to fix and consider this a start. Now keep yourself in line

She brought a holo map of the location up and pointed to where they'd land

now listen up, we will be landing here and pushing out way forward. Main goal is get people out and into safety. Ultimate goal is rescue of dr. Jaden or retrieval of data of a possible cure...unfortunately we do not know the location of either...so this'll be a sweep and clear mission. Unfortunately I dont rhink we will have the high ground unless we get outside or pushed to the landing zone...let's hope it's the first

She put the map up, she looked to them and frowned... what was she thinking bringing them along...not like theyd even care at all

The pilot said back to them, she stood and put her helmet on letting it armor her lekku up as she looked to them and nodded as the dropship landed and dropped the door as stardust moved out quickly spotting their allies and approached them

She started for the inside...she stopped feelimg a dark presence, she drowned and patted her sabers and motioned for her men to follow

Fate held its breath, the final moments before they met hell head on, stardust was ever ready

[Candez Stoon]

Candez had the look wiped off right away by how [member="Stardust Bloodstone"] snapped at him. Only to glance at Yam and grinned. Then he turned his attention to the revealed holo map that she brought up. While she went by the plan, Candez looked over his weaponry, even testing out how his wrist blaster was working on his prosthetic arm. It allowed for a steady hand at least. It worked just fine as well on the prosthetic.

He gave a two finger salute, then pulled his goggles over and pulled up a bandana he had over his mouth. It gave him a better look he thought, the red bandana. Before he left the dropship, he looked back at Yam, "I think she's warming up to me." Then off he hopped, shouldering his rifle right away in case. Candez took Star's left, Yam her right.

Considering the battlecruiser alone out-massed the Outer Rim Resource fleet by half again and each of the other four ships the sith had brought with him were just as large as Domino's three, their commander made to withdraw as soon as it was apparent that they meant to engage. There would be no one-sided bloodbath in orbit this day unless the Vengeance's captain somehow found a way to force the confrontation, and then he'd discover what the terror he sought was like to experience.

"Helpful, thanks." Domino said from behind her armored faceplate before turning away. If [member="Vulpesen"] thought that this was a show of his natural leadership abilities, he'd just passed on the chance to be an actual leader
for the rest of the group fighting for Masterra. On her own troops' tactical net she ordered her team south to the data center there. They first had to cross a corridor with the occasional blaster shot coming down it but DOmino ensured no lucky hit would get past her marine's armor by simple expedient of standing in the mouth of the hall and intercepting the shots with the haft of her pikesaber or by interposing her own armor. She wasn't ready to announce to the villains that she was a Force user just yet however and kept her saber off.

None of her people were slicers other than what was needed to get through most door locks, but they could start copying data en-mass and scan through security footage which they began doing. Domino meanwhile poked her head through to the next room and saw it was full of refugees and maybe scientists. "What are you doing?" She shouted, "Way's clear to the landing bay! Get through the data center, unlock anything you can on your way through, and get evacced! Dropships and shuttles are waiting!"

[The Event]

A fleet of United Trade Conglomerate Ships exited Hyperspace and began to enter orbit of the planet. Once they saw the looming ships of another sort in orbit they sent out a signal out to hail the other force.

"This is Doctor Coredian Nomidan, these are the allies of the Amber Quarantine Department and at the request of the Masterra Government are here to blockade the planet to prevent this even from spreading any further." The radio went silent for a second, "Stand down and be subjected to a full scan to make sure this material has not infected your ships and then your ships will need to exit orbit of the system until the situation is over with."

After that the link to [member="Drakar"] Fleet was cut. The doctor stood at the helm of the ship and looked back, he was not a military commander, just here to fulfill the request of the director and prevent any more of this substance from leaving the planet and spreading across the galaxy to brings its little head up again.

Security teams and refugees were being funnels to the loading bay when all the teams began to arrive. The arrival of some shuttles had the refugees attempting to make a run for them, but the guards held them back. One of the security teams yelled at the crowed, "The next ship will be here soon, please wait for the next UTC or Government shuttles to arrive to be taken to the next area."

[member="Tom Taff"], [member="Vulpesen"], [member="Stardust Bloodstone"], [member="Candez Stoon"], and [member="Domino"] all arrived at the landing pad and made their way towards the common area with the other guards. In the center of it all was a United Trade Conglomerate Police Officer standing without his helmet around 3 other officers and 2 men in black riot gear. They were standing around a map of the building and areas were marked. "We lost the central Refugee center, Vehicle Bay, and loosing ground to the north base and Data Center, inform your men that we need another 2 hours before we can get everyone else out." It was at this point he noticed the other teams arrival, "I guess your my reinforcements," He scratched his head, "Lieutenant Gregory, the Viceroy himself ordered us to give you all information we have and to stay out of your way, The map here has all the info we have but we are falling back to defensive posistions, you will not be able to get support from our men."

One of the Death Troopers came up to [member="Drakar"], the man saluted him and spoke through his helmets speaker, "Inquisitor, the South flank is holding out, but with our full support to the north, we can flank them and push those security forces back."

The hallways the men approched were filled with blaster fire and when any droid showed their head, a rocket would fly through the air and blast at whatever it hit. The Security Forces were holding out. However, it was the unknown Mercenary forces to the south that were pushing the main entrance. The were not making any head way, but they cut off the other entrance to the room that could give them an edge into another building.

Listening to the Lieutenant's briefing, Vulpesen nodded and relayed the information to his men. "Buy them two hours, and drag out any friendlies you can find in there. Let's move! Team One, you're with me heading up north. Teach 3, reinforce the southern flank. We'll be clearing room by room, so let's take it easy. Vixos, Sarriven, I want you two to stay here and guard the entrance. I don't want a single enemy to get through that door." With confirmation from each of his men, Vulpesen strode forward, heading towards the central lab via the north corridor. As commanded, his men would break into their assigned roles, with the two snipers hanging back to defend the hangar while team two, led by Lieutenant Terris would go south.

If that wasnt such a view she didnt know what, she started at a quick the southern path as she raised her guns lookimg around the room and slowed down. She stopped and checked her map before she moved slowly forward

She kept them going and stopped in another room...seemed empty yet she could hear men up ahead, she motioned for them to spread out as starfust sgood abd walked forward. She pulled her pistol close as she came around a door area and saw a security force member pressed to the wall

what's the situation here?!

She called over the fire, watching bolts fly past

they have this hall locked down! Now way to get down it without becoming a target!

She sighed, she peeked out and nearly get bucketed as she pulled back in and frowned as she moved back into the room looking to candez and yam

alright you heard halls a no go...cant even get to the other side so...we are making a new path


She went to the left wall, she looked it over as she stood back and focused with the force...trying to find cracks within it that she could use...it took a minute but she found it and started expanding them inwards to try and make a hole..she struggled a bit and then pushed it as it crumbled and fell

She ducked under it as she started entering the now adjoining room...she heard sounds of battle growing closer...

 

[Candez Stoon]

Candez Stoon kept his rifle up, and then [member="Stardust Bloodstone"] gave out a warning that there was a fight going on ahead. Candez was playing a 50/50 in his head on whether he would chicken and stay back as 'cover fire' or to go ahead and stick by them. Yam, on the other hand was the tough guy as he stuck right by, and as soon as they got to the fight he was firing over cover while Candez ducked down. While sticking to cover, he watched as Stardust blew down a wall.

"I could've done that" he muttered under his breath, and through he went as quickly as he could. Yam followed suit, at the ready.

Turns out that having armed soldiers putting a blaster to your face and ordering you to unlock a computer before letting you evacuate a war-zone is a very motivating thing. in just a few minutes Domino's marines reported that the data in the center had been extracted. "Right, call in one of the dropships and extract it back to the government forces, have two squads join me to push further in the base. Also," she pointed to the Mb-835 one of the men were carrying, "give me that. I'll give you covering fire down the hall again."

After making sure her people were ready, she stepped into the hallway again and felt a few shots impact against her heavy armor. It felt like someone kicking at her before a few of the quicker thinkers realized what she was carrying. Bracing the gun against her hip, anybody that didn't duck back around whatever cover they had earned a long spray of blaster fire as Domino opened up with the heavy repeater. Her only concession to saving ammo was to dial back the rate of fire after the HUD in her visor linked up to the weapon's trajectory and let her really dial in the shots so she didn't need to waste so many. Behind her the maines made use of the drop off in incoming fire to rush the remaining civs from the southern living quarters to the rally area the police had set up for them.

Out in the hall, Domino pushed up to the last of the defending force protecting the southern hall, "Head up North and reinforce your people there, my people and I have this fight." She had to shout to be heard and between that and the gunfire, Kaine's challenge went unheard.

The ORR Sec Fleet readilly submitted to the doctor's scan, but instead of breaking orbit instead moved to take up supporting positions for the UTC ships. "I'd rather not run from this fight, besides, we still have people on the surface, we'll back you up instead if you'll have us. After all, it's better to have friends in a fight." As the commander proffered his help to his fellow defenders the Immobilizer Cruiser began warming up its gravity wells, in a few short minutes it's projectors would form just behind the enemy fleet trapping them between the gravity bubbles and in the planet's on gravity well.

As the VSF teams broke up, Vulpesen made his way quickly to the north passage, igniting one of the gold and black blades of his saberstaff as he strode forth towrads the living quarters. Perhaps the station personnel had lost this area. But Vulpesen would be damned if he didn't gain it back. "Harlow, suppressing fire! Irronis, pick 'em off where you can! Garlan, standby until I give the order!" Then, despite the hail of blasterfire running down the hall, Vulpesen charged forward, the other end of his saber igniting to bat away the enemy projectiles.

Down the southern hallway, Lieutenant Terris and his men were rendezvousing with the station personnel, and enacting the same plan to aid with the forces already there. Though, Terris, being the rifleman, was a bit less preoccupied with attacking the enemies, and more interested in the details of the situation, something which showed as he searched for the Masterra personel's commanding officer. "How many do you think we're up against? And what are they armed with?"

Sapphire eyes looked upon with warmth at the gathering crowd, longingly looking for one or more of her people. Allana had but a few here, somewhere here. She hoped they were still alive. There was supposed to be just ten of them. There was supposed to be five scientists and five guards.

Her heart hurt when she did not see even one of them within the crowd. Despite the heavy heart she stepped forward. “Yes, please remain calm”, her voice soothing as if her voice somehow beckoned through the Force for everyone to remain calm.

“You’re safe and there will be plenty of room for all of you. Follow the direction of these fine soldiers. They will lead you to safety”, the crowd that was a little panicked settled down. The woman with wearing a beautiful crown had then somehow enthralled.

As promised the shuttles started to land. “Here, as promised”, Allana smiled brightly and motion toward the landing shuttles. “Please follow the direction of the security personnel”, on that last note Allana started too walked towards the door that exits to the north corridor.

“Your grace”, one of the security personnel guarding the door started to protest her leaving into a combat zone.​

“You have refuges to protect”, the sweet words fell from her lips. The words feel upon the man’s ears.​

“Yes, the refuges”, the man’s mind was easily tricked through the Force. Allana then walked through the door planning to find her missing people.

The Captain heading up the platoon of marines she'd brought with her called her over their encrypted communications network and let her know that the men she'd sent back had made it and the two squads she'd requested were on the way, he was also sending another two up onto the roof to act as overwatch and a breaching force if need be. That left the last twenty marines watching the entrance and landing grounds with everyone else still there and the security forces. Vulpesen's men came up behind her and she nearly turned to fire on them and gave them a nod of recognition instead. They were a good ways back behind her by this point as she'd been advancing under her own covering fire and she turned back to the hall before her with a shrug to herself. The reinforcements weren't needed but they were appreciated.

At the end of the hall a black-armored sith trooper poked his upper body around the corner to fire at her and fell to the floor with a few holes punched through his armor for his trouble. She wasn't close enough for them to try grenades luckily, still, she was tired of pushing her luck and ducked into what looked like an unoccupied room to the south. She could wait there for her own troops before continuing on. Her repeating blaster was down to less than a quarter-charge and she couldn't shake the feeling that she was running out of time. Taking a risk she activated a few cycles of her suit's penetrating radar and studied the return pings. There were a lot of people scattered throughout a series of rooms to the south and the large one across the hall from her looked empty. "Damn it doctor, where are you?" She worried aloud to herself.
