The Awakening (Open to Republic. Anyone else PM to join)

Antares came up to her indeed, a ruler was crying. They couldn't open up the pods now, could they? For the people's first sights upon waking up ten thousand years later to see their Empress crying? No. It wasn't right, they would have to remain for a little while longer. Just a little while.

This wasn't something that he dealt with everybody however, a crying Empress. He felt awkward, and he wrapped his arms around @[member="Leeza"] gently. If she would allow it, anyway. She may have been an Empress but she was in a vulnerable position at the moment, it would probably be best to show her that she had friends for her at her weakest moment. "Your planet will be strong again, believe me." He spoke silently, as if they were lovers and it was words only for the both of them to hear.

"Much of it has regrown, I am sure."

Leeza

Empress of Meldara
His words, while comforting, did not fully help Leeza. He did not know what she went through, having been given the position as Empress when the people were in cahos over the death of the former one. She had been thrust into the position at a critical moment and all she could do was assure the people they would live. Instead they were forced into hiding underground and into stasis for 10,000 years. So much time and so much change must've occured that there was so little chance they would survive this ear. But deep down Leeza knew it was time long enough.

She stood and looked to the robots before saying "Order as many medical untis as possible. It's time for the Meldarian people to see their new home."

Within the passing two hours the rest of the Meldarians were woken. Soon the entire city complex was fillied with the sound of it's people being brought back to life from stasis. There were tender reunions among some and more sad moments for others. But Leeza was there to help those she could, as were CeeCee and the other robots about. They gave those who needed the UV rays to become fully fed while others simple needed help getting out of the pods. Families and lovers and everything in-between were brought together after so long. Often they would look to the strange alien @[member="Antares Windu"] and wonder what he was and why he was here.

Antares watched as the people woke up and embraced each other. He got odd looks from some, looks of gratitude after helping them out of the pods and sometimes, he was looked over. He didn't mind it, but he wondered what all their initial response would be to their Empress with her arm wrapped around his. "How will you explain what happened to your planet?" he asked lightly once all the people were out. He wasn't looking forward to actually having his face touched thousands of times.

"This is an amazing thing." Antares voiced aloud to the Meldaran Empress. "Your people will follow you."

"I'll tell them what they need to hear." she said in answer to his question before walking to a high point in the room where all could see her.

At first she spoke in the Meldarian language, getting the attention of the people, before saying something to them that @[member="Antares Windu"] would see as her saying she would send the new lanuage into their minds so they would all understand. She closed her eyes and they did so as well before all joining hands. In that collective web of joined Meldarians the galatic standard lanuage was given to all of them. Memories were shared among them as well, but not as intense as what happened between Leeza and Windu when they touched. Obviously it was a different experience when transferring with a different species.

After that she spoke out and said "My people, while we can celebrate our reawakening I'm afraid there is still terrible news. Meldara has not healed from the radiation of the Nova that destoroyed the surface." That information was met by a number of peope asking what they would do. "We have been awoken because we have been discovered." She gestured to Windu and said "This aline before you is a human. One of many species that had grown and cultivated and colonozied in the galaxy beyond our solar system." More murmring among the people before she said "I have seen into his mind and have seen so many other worlds that we can live on. So many other places where we can colonize and rebuild. Meldara may be gone, but this city still stands. And we have a chance of new life beyond this planet. We can still gorw, my people. We can surive!"

Antares nodded his head to Leeza, urging her on. She was smart, but it would probably be best if she kept them on meldara. "Keep your people here Leeza. the Republic can help you rebuild." He looked out over the people briefly. "There are powerful people who could bring the wildlife back." He was completely serious. All he would need to do is remove the radiation from the planet.

Hard work and a long process. "It will take time...But within a year, your planet will be as you remember it." The smile there was genuine and Antares could only hope they would agree. Was the galaxy even ready for the Meldarans? He didn't know.

Hearing this she gestured for her people to wait while she looked to him and said "But I've seen your memories. The galaxy is a new frontier for us. My people need a home and it will take too long for this one to heal. New planets means new possibilities. We cannot stay here forever when there is so much more out there. You must understand this."

@[member="Antares Windu"]

"I understand better than you think." He said. His thoughts went to Haruun Kal and then he said, "this is your home planet. You will not stay?" That was his first question. Then he he said "It will take a long time to move your people and find a suitable planet." He never did enjoy having to explain things.

"We sill still use this city as our home for now." she explained. "But we can easily spread out and explore. You don't realize that when our people were colonizing this planet' most of your species were still living in huts and caves. We need to know what has changed and see what is out there. A 10,000 year sleep can do that to someone. I would suggest your try speaking with this Republic or Jedi Order or yours and see what they can do."

@[member="Antares Windu"]

"I am not sure you know the human race if you think they lived in huts thousands of years ago." He shook his head. There were great wars at the time when this species went to sleep. "I will see what I can do though. You will need to be there." He said and he walked off the dais to find somewhere private. "i need a private place."

She nodded before looking back to her people and saying "We will need time before we can progress. For now we must let the galaxy know we exists. We must show them what has become of us and they will know that Meldara is not as dead a planet as they believed. Let this be a new age, the age of New Life!"

There came a great cheer from everyone, even some of the robots seems enthusiastic about the return of their masters. Leeza looked to CeeCee who nodded to her, indicating she would help her in anyway she could. Without an official master CeeCee was now claimed by Leeza to be her personal droid, something both were glad about. Leeza only took a deep breath and, while she had no mouth, it was clear she was smiling.

@[member="Antares Windu"]

Antares waited for her to come down from the dais before he took her hand and whispered, "we will need a private room." He said and hi brown eyes found her eyes as well. He was going to contact the Jedi Council in hopes of speaking to them first. "I will show you my order."

She nodded to him before telling CeeCee to handle the others while she dealt with this. Walking off until they were outside of the pyramid, most of the people still inside and the robots now flocking to tend to them, they would have enough privacy for now. Afterwards she stood by and looked and waited to see how he would commune with his "order" as it was called. A curious thing since she figured he was speaking to them from far away on the planet called Courascant.

@[member="Antares Windu"]

After they had walked out of the pyramid Antares said, "when you get into the Senate, I will guard you, yes?" he felt as if she were his responsibility and he glanced to the side at her.

From his pocket emerged a comlink and when he turned it on, he said, "@[member="Kiskla Grayson"]. I need you to speak with somebody."

@[member="Leeza"]

Kiskla was in the chambers of reconciliation when her personal channel blipped a message. No sooner did she accept it, than her former Padawan's voice chimed through the airwaves. His message was vague, so she suspected there should be an air of caution about this arrangement. Or at least, an air of respect. She replied to the message and informed @[member="Antares Windu"] that she would meet him.

"Do you have a location, or can you make it to the chambers of reconciliation on Coruscant?"

Leeza

Empress of Meldara
Hearing his offer of protecting her Leeza looked oddly at him before saying "If you feel that is best. But I intend to bring CeeCee along as well. She can easily protect me as well." Afterward the appearance of this Jedi Master @[member="Kiskla Grayson"] appeared. Leeza, surprised as ever, looked at the image and examined the woman. Obviously she was still getting used to seeing various types of humans. "Greetings.....Jedi Master. I am Leeza, Empress of the Meldarian people." She said, trying to keep a royal composure.

@[member="Antares Windu"]

Antares doubted that @[member="Kiskla Grayson"] actually heard @[member="Leeza"] speaking since the Meldarans spoke telepathically. "I believe we will be able to get to Coruscant." He said with a side glance to Adelaide before adding, "I will send you my coordinates. Wear a spacesuit." The Knight said before turning off the comlink almost immediately after sending the coordinates and the current state of the planet.

"It will take her sometime to arrive."

Kiskla was slightly taken a back by the abruptness of the conversation, but nevertheless she was interested in what was to be found in the middle of nowhere.
Adhering to the suggestion by the Knight, Kiskla arranged for a suit to be prepared for her.

When she reached the hangar to see her coveted RZ-1 A-Wing, Crimson, the suit was hanging on the ladder that lead up the ramp to her cockpit.
Then she hesitated.
Perhaps there was more than one at this meeting. With this insight, Kiskla adjusted her path (flightsuit in hand) and opted to take Crimson II into space. A corvette was far more suited for space travel when there could be more parties involved.

Much later

Time spent meditating passed rather quickly, and the Jedi Master soon arrived at the planet's broken atmosphere.
With slight hesitation, she tilted the nose of the corvette toward the planet's smouldering surface and keyed a message to @[member="Antares Windu"] for him to meet her.

Leeza

Empress of Meldara
On the surface itself, just outside of the rock formation that hid the elevator entrance that lead down into the deeper crust where the city was hidden, a welcoming party of robotic sentries, including CeeCee, looked up and watched as the ship carrying @[member="Kiskla Grayson"] descended. Once it landed all of them were waiting until she emerged from the ship and spoke with @[member="Antares Windu"], identifying them as friendly before anything else. After that was established CeeCee and the others bowed to the Jedi master out of respect.

"Greetings, Jedi Master Grayson." CeeCee said. "Our Empress is waiting to speak with you below. If you'll follow us." She said, indicating to follow into the rock formation to the lift.

Antares walked with @[member="Leeza"] to the bottom of the lift to wait for it. He sensed his old Master a lot higher up, upon the surface of the planet. He would have to wait to see her however, so that he may explain the situation that he had found himself in. The Empress was still on his arm it seemed and he glanced to her at his side and he said, "I assure you, @[member="Kiskla Grayson"] is the person to talk too."

And they waited.

Kiskla stiffened noticeably when droids were sent to hail her. Beneath her visor, she quickly assessed them; they were unarmed for the most part. The same could not be said for the Jedi Master.

Cordially, she followed the droids down the hill, making sure not to put too much weight on her knees as they descended. The entire surface looked rather bare, apart from the rock structures that littered the area.

It spoke volumes about the young woman’s spontaneity. Galaxy knows there were papers to review, and relationships to mend that would keep the Order and Republic stable, but when beckoned, the mistress of The Force answered. But that meant that in turn, she must be met with an answer. In due time, Kiskla and her escorts neared the indicated area for where they would speak with Knight Windu and his new friend.
Immediately, Kiskla’s gaze sized up the area. The woman behind Antares was slight, and dark — something she’d not seen before. The entire planet offered escape if she could get back up the hill. As for fighting — two droids could easily be ionized and her Padawan well, he was alright. She couldn’t help it. This was her trained mentality. Nevertheless, she molted her guardian skin and replaced it with a more diplomatic air.

“Knight Windu,” Kiskla greeted, not wanting to disrespect him in front of his new ally.

“And the Empress, I presume? Greetings."
