The Awakening (Open to Republic. Anyone else PM to join)

Reports had been coming in for the last two weeks. Something mysterious was going on. A number of ships had been reported missing around the space near the planet Toola, just outside the Republic territory. There was no sign of the ships themselves but some remains were found. Enough evidence indicated a battle had taken place before the ships were either destroyed or captured. What was also odd was that thw only planet close enough to where any culprits could be hiding was Maldara, a desolate planet wtih a high radiated surface. It was possible the culprits were hiding there but now, given the conditions of the planet did not exaclty mean they could create a base of some kind.

Further invetigation was needed.

 

[Karm'dia]

Once upon a time, there was a rocker that was asked to see about republic ships. Things started to get worse, the poor rocker had been forced to do his job. Leaving in a bad mood, he took his guitar and jumped into a jedi starfighter. Flying off into the sun set, he flew towards the location of the occurring death of traders. What could be going on, hard to say but this rocker was going to get to the bottom of this mystery.

"Man, this isn't no fun. Flying through space and no music."

This was the beginning of the young rockers first tune to be played in the world. What could possibly go wrong, right?

Among the nearby feilds of asteroids a ship was sitting in waiting. It wasn't the usual type of ship to see in these parts. In fact it wasn't a usual ship itself. It was a patchwork of all other parts of ship. A majority of these parts haveing be scavaged from the rmeains of the ships that had gone missing. On the ship itself someone watched as the monitors went off, revealing another ship within the area. The crew abord sprang to action and set a course for it. Upon arrive at the ship itself they gave no warning of any kind. They just immediatly opened fire. However they were only aiming for the life support systems it seemed.

Nothing came out of this little trip at all, it would be a wild goose chase at the moment. Then out of nowhere he was getting fired at, he only did what he did best. Split, taking the reigns of his ship and dodged the blasters. Using a tier 1 ship, meant that it was the fastest in it's class as it evaded incoming fire like it was nothing. Approaching the ship now, he opened fired his Ion cannons.


"Think you can take me out so easily, lets rock!"

He was aiming for the entire hull of the ship, as he flew by in a quick strafing assault. The Ion cannons were meant for disabling the craft, because he didn't want to kill anyone yet. Plus, a ship patched worked together shouldn't be useful at all. Because of the parts would be mismatched and only acted like a piece of junk.

[Antares]

A Jedi Starfighter dropped out of hyperspace. A ETA-6A Delta-Class Starfighter spiralled when it came out of hyperspace. Antares was at the controls. He had taken to flying a lot more when he had become a Jedi Knight, and he had taken it upon himself to find out where all of these ships have gone when they went to this area of space. Something was definitely wrong here, and he ahd set out to find out why.

When his sensors picked up the ship's weapon emplacements firing, Antares's fingers flew across the communications array and it was projected to the obvious aggressor there.

"Stand down. This is Jedi Knight Antares Windu. Hold your fire." He said over their open channel. He made sure his ship was ready for combat while he spoke however.

With the hits taken from the ion cannon's on @[member="Karm'dia"]'s ship, and then the sudden arrival of @[member="Antares Windu"], the pilots of the ship seemed to stand down before making a fully retreat. They flew off towards the asteroid feild and made back for the nearby planet of Meldara. It was clear whatever they wanted from them they couldn't get while they were out-gunned. But it seemed clear what they wanted were the parts of the ship, hence why they had someone made a patchwork ship out of older parts from the ones they'd taken before.

 

[Antares]

Antares moved the joysticks around so that he could follow @[member="Leeza"] own ship. While he was doing that, he opened up a communications channel with, @[member="Karm'dia"]'s ship and said, "your ship is safe. I suggest you stay away for now." And then he closed the channel. he wouldn't be talking to them anytime soon he hoped.

When things were getting interesting, someone had to get in his way. A Jedi, that was when he frowned a the scene.

"No can do brother, see ya at the finish"

Moving at full speed, he evaded the astrofield field and moved past the other Jedi. He really didn't care about him, he was aiming to search where the ship landed.

[Leeza]

The ship, having been damaged, did a faulty landed that ended with it skidding across the surface. Given the radiation of the planet itself it would've been dangerous for anyone to exit without safety. However the occupants within the ship opened the door a moment after touchdown. It was revealed that they were all robots. Odd sentry looking droids that seemed very heavily built, with one red eye and three large claws on each arm. While they were big they had no feet, instead hovering about as a means of transporting themselves. Five of them exited the ship and made for a small hill of dead rock. At the top of the rock exposed what seemed like a metal center. The lead robot opened a secret panel that revaled a pathway into the rock formation. As the other entered the first robot looked back and realized they were followed, hurrying into the pathway and closing the door behind it.

[Antares]

Antares's ship was landing, though the cockpit wasn't going to open. Instead, his fingers flew across the communications array again and he was sending a message to those within the mountain / pathway thing. "Open your door. Or come out." Was the message and he waited, he made sure his lightsaber was on his person, and there were other things for him to wear to prepare for the outside world of the ship.

Though he did prime his weapons and made sure his ship hadn't landed completely yet, and was rather hovering a few meters above the ground so as to not have to go through a pre-flight check again.

He was already slipping a helmet on from a space suit while he waited for a response or any actions that showed they heard him.

[Karm'dia]

He landed his ship on the surface, using his quick reflexes. He put on his space suit, with his light saber at his side and Guitar on his back.

He jumped out of the ship, running up to the mountian and searching for whatever device was there. Maybe a button, but he would be searching really hard for it.

"Come out here, robots!"

There was no answer but inside the contruct the robots all looked towards the sound of the two outside.

One looked to the other and, speaking in an alien language not identified, said <Should we attack?> to the leader robot.

<Negative. If they breach the doorway there is no risk of radiation leaking into the city.>

<But what if they reach the city?>

<They will not.>

With that the robots all hovered into an elevator lift and, activating it, began to decend far down into the crust of the planet itself. The shaft went far, far down. Almost as if it were leading into the core of the planet, yet what was down there remained to be discovered.

[Antares]

The Jedi Knight had gotten his whole spacesuit on and was already out. He was wasting no time here, and when the cockpit to his ship flew open, he flew out and his astromech droid closed the ship behind him. He wasn't going to wait for the droid, the droid was already preparing to protect the ship and so Antares wouldn't wait.

His lightsaber was in his hand and he walked straight to the door, the azure beam was ignited and he plunged it into the wall, beside the supposed music star? But he didn't pay him any mind, he had business to do here, and he was cutting a hole into it. He wasn't going to finish the hole, unless he was going in first.

He looked at the Jedi, he felt his spot light being taken away. So he pulled out his topaz blade and helped him cut a hole through the door.

"Hey, bro. I didn't they send back on my mission."

When they would finally breach the door, the length of the tunnel was massive. How would they get down there without getting killed.

"Any idea's bro."

[Leeza]

By the time they'd reached the lowest level the leader robot sabotaged the lift so it could not be used by the two above. With that done he floated off with the others before being stopped by another android waiting for him. This one was different from the others. For starts it had a more feminine deisgn, and instead of one eye it had two, along with antenni sticking from it's head and actual legs.

Still speaking the odd language the android approched the leader and asked <Unit 2406, what has happened? There were signs of someone landing on the surface.>

<Alien hostiles have landed. They attakced our ship after we were trying to retrive supplies for the machines.>

<Alien? You mean other lifeforms?>

<That is of no relevance. They must not be allowed to disturbe the slumber of our masters.>

<But perhaps we should speak with them. See if they can help.>

<Negative. We have our orders and we will see them done.>

The android tried to say more but the leader floated past her, done with the conversation. She watched him float off before looking back to the broken lift. With little choice she walked off as well, going down one more large corridor before passing through a doorway that closed behind her.

[Antares]

"You are going to have to wait up here for me. I will have to go first." He said, his lightsaber's beam disappeared back into the hilt. He clipped it back onto his belt, that happened to be outside of his suit apparently. "Or you can use the Force to create a cushion underneath yourself, or to slow your descent." Antares said with a rueful grin and he ran to the edge and his body arched as if he was diving into a body of water. And then he plunged downwards, his arms snapping to his side to gain speed.

Was it getting hotter? He didn't know, the Force was protecting him while he practically fell down to the lower levels. When he started to near the floor, he pushed both his arms out to the ground and started to send the Force to the floor to create buffer for him to slow his descent.

Once his descent had been slowed enough he started to form the cushion that he would need to safely land, and it worked. The Force formed as if it was the softest pillow ever, and he landed with one hand on the floor, and in a kneel. He made it, he wasn't even going to wait for the other person. He had a lightsaber, he must be force sensitive. So Antares started to walk down the only pathway that he could go. Forwards.

He stopped at another doorway. So many closed doorways...His lightsaber plunged into the door again, the azure beam already starting to form a circle. "Open. Up." He grunted out while he cut the hole.

[Karm'dia]

The guy just looked at him with a frown, while he jumped down to the shaft. What would he do now, than the idea came to him from the jedi. He skydived through the elevator shaft, when he reached the button. He used his power to cushion his fall and stopped him right before he went spat. He looked at the jedi, waiting for him to open his door while he prepared his saber for the first note.

"Lets take them down!"

He said, wondering what he would do once they reached the other side.

[Leeza]

The female droid had been on the otherside of the door, contemplating the report given by Unit 2406. That's when she heard the sound of something cutting through the doorway. Reacting she ran over and quickly oepned the door, seeing both humans before her. She was suprised, in a manner of speaking, as she examined both of them and the weapons they carried. For a moment she tried speaking to them, saying {Raza re gu ta vex?} but of course they didn't know that was her asking if they were from the surface.

Behind her was what was hidden deep under the surface of the planet: an entire underground city. A number of large buildings and streets were all formed out of metal. The rock walls around it being carved out from mining machines and held up with a number of heavy metal braces and beams. There were a number of buldings of all different shapes and sizes, the largest one being in the middle and shapes like a stouter version of a pyramid. The only thing missing was the people. The only things moving about were more robots. Some like the ones that attacked @[member="Karm'dia"] and @[member="Antares Windu"] on the surface, some like the android and others of smaller or bigger deisgn. They were busy tending to the city itself, making sure everything was up and in order.

An alarm sounded soon after the two humans entered, making the andorid pull them away from the door and lead them to a hidding spot behind one large machine. She indicated for them to stay before running back to the door, just in time to find Unit 2406 arrive with a small squad of robots.

<Report.> he said, seeing her.

<I have only just arrived, Unit 2406. It seems that whoever attacked you has made it into the city.> she said, indicating the door being open.

<Impossible. Nothing could have survived a drop that large.> He scanned the immediate area before ordering <Search everywhere. Find the alien threat and eliminate them. This entire city is now on lock down.>

With that the rest of the robot gaurds began searching about the area, leaving the andoird alone finally. However the doorway closed before being sealed by a heavier looking door. With that she went back to the two and kneeled down in front of them, examining them and waiting to see what they would say.

 

[Antares]

Antares was pulled along and into the corner by the android. It was so sudden, the door opening, an alarm, and then a female looking android pulling him along. Not to mention the underground city.

Though the Force usually helped with speaking to other species, this was a mechanical object and since it wasn't really a sentient, he couldn't understand.

Then there were other voices and their apparent protector sent them off. "I am Jedi Knight Antares Windu..." He stayed quiet for the both of them to soak it in. "Take me to your leader."

Not fully understanding him, the android repeated "Je-dai.....Win-du.....Take-me-too-your-lea-dar". While she did not understand them she could tell these two aliens were not hostile as 2406 had claimed. As such she knew they would need information before anything else. Hopefully this would be the moment they needed to finally make a great change for the city itself.

She indicsted for them to follow her as she took them through the city, avoiding being seen by any patrolling robots that came around. Within ten minutes she brought them to a building that seemed like an archives area. A large monitor with a series of large wires leading to what seemed like a massive memory storage device. Making sure no one was around the android began pulling up files on the monitor which began to display recoerded imagry.

The first images showed the planet Meldara as it was before. The surface was habitable and beautiful. Large cities covered the planet while also mixing in with the natural layout and terrian of the world. Then came imagry of the people, the Meldarians. Black skinned creature with no visible mouths that lived off the ultraviolet rays of the sun. But then the scientific notes displaying that the nearby sun itself was reaching a critical nova that would destroy the surface. The leaders of the world were shown commisoning the construction of the very underground city they were in. Then came the image of a woman, the higest leader of authority, ordering the the robots and civilians as the city was built. The final imagry showed the few Meldarians that could be saved reaching the city before the descution of the surface. Now trapped underground to wait for when the surface could be habitable the Meldarians were all put into large stasis pods held in the pyramid in the center of the city while the robots were left to tend to them.

After showing this to both @[member="Antares Windu"] and @[member="Karm'dia"], the andorid looked and said "Take me to your leader."
