Auction Tenloss Betting House - Tournament of the Gods: Round 1

Alright folks, this here is the betting house, run by Tenloss. The concept is simple, you place your IC bets for your favorite fighter or fighters and play the odds. Each opponent has different odds per fight based on rank, ability, win/loss ratio, and a variety of other areas. In areas of ties, one side will randomly be chosen to have the slightly higher odds of success.​

Here's how it works. You just CLEARLY POST UP your bid, preferably in a bright color, then CLEARLY STATE WHO YOU'RE BIDDING FOR, then CLEARLY STATE WHICH FIGHT you're bidding on.​

​

The odds are displayed by percentage below the fight and contestants. Obviously, bidding on the higher odds is an easy win, but not a lot of money. Bidding on the lower odds is a riskier bid, but a higher payout. Where you place your money is your choice.​

​

That said, CAST BIDS ARE STATIC. This means they cannot be removed to swap sides. You can INCREASE your bid, but you cannot DECREASE your bid, once cast. You can bid credits as well as material items (you'll get the worth of the item, or your selection of a prize, should you win).​

​

Bids are confiscated once cast and you'll receive a ticket. Do not lose your ticket as that is the ONLY WAY to get your payout*.​

​

RPing is encouraged. Please keep violence to a minimum or you will be escorted out by security (and these are purty nastay security types. I'm looking at you, [member="Jared Ovmar"], ya bloody mook. Don't start nothin')​

Oh, and if you can't pay for your bid up front, you can't bid. At least not officially through the Betting House. Side bids are encouraged through RP. Spectating is also encouraged if that's your thing.​

Glass of liquor in hand and a smug look upon his features, Carlos strode into the main betting room with gusto. His fur-lined coat felt good and the brunette at his side felt even better. For a moment, his eyes lingered upon her longer than he'd expected and tore them away as the roaring of the crowds overcame his more primal desires.

"Oh Carlos, I wonder who's going to win," her cherry red lips curved upwards, "Hopefully you."

"No doubt about it."

The man took a swig of his liquor, setting the glass down when the betting screens came up. Carlos produced a datapad and entered in the following bets:

The lass next to him gave a giggle, "Why only five for the Mando?"

"He's quite the funny fella. I'll make a gif out of his fight."

Eldoc came in and bought a bottle of senkaroo Whiskey filling his flask and then he too a swig of the bottle. He needed to get nice and drunk for this after all. She saw they were taking bets on the fight.
" I will put 10,000 Credits on Match 6 That I win. "

He stumbled out with both the bottle and his flask smelling like he bathed in the stuff.

One 40 credit coupon at Blotto's Tea house, and four bags of Amber Sunarri Herbal tea, on myself, to win the fight against Ordo.

Vorhi sipped his drink, looked over at the Hutt and shrugged. Most Hutts didn't bother him. Well, aside from the one he killed. That guy had it coming. But, well, he had nothing against Tenloss' bookies. He wondered if the fight with Ordo was a suicide mission on his part. Hard to say. The house had given him decent odds. Weird. Maybe they had access to his old tourney records on Bunduki? Hard to say.

 

[Ginnie Dib]

A 4'11" pink-and-purple Beskar'gam clad Mandalorian runt walked into the Betting House and hop-climbed onto a stool. The little Mando pulled out a homemade duct tape wallet marked 'Allowance Money' and dumped the contents onto the counter.

"23 Credits on my Dad to win his match against the tea house coupon dude. That's Match 7, [member="Ordo"] for the winner." Trying to sound as tough as she could, the thirteen year old kiffar tapped her crush gaunts against the counter and waited for her ticket. While she waited, she hummed a tune and kicked her feet in and out one at a time.

What an exciting day! Ginnie was gonna see her Daddy mop the floor with a man in a hat.

Wonder if the other guy had a Ropo, 'cause then he'd get his hat stolen wouldn't he? That's what Ropos did isn't it? Steal hats?

"School clothes!?" The girl's voice echoed with horror. "No, Daddy! No! Don't make me go back there! They teach me things! Things that ain't got nothing to do with beskar'gam and shooting centre mass and double-tapping and hitting metal with a hammer until it bends right." School.

That place Ordo's littlest ad'ika had been skipping out on. She hadn't failed that badly last year had she? Okay so she 'accidentally' burned her last report card, that was no reason to punish her by calling the teacher and then giving Ginnie the 'I'm disappointed, learning is important' talk. Not the talk! Not the talk! He couldn't! He wouldn't!

He totally would and Ginnie deflated, putting her tiny crush gaunts together and shaking her pleading hands at her father. "Please win, Daddy. If you win you won't have money for school clothes then I won't have to go, right? That's how it works?"

Hoofing it to her father's side, she slung her arms around one of his massive forearms and looked up at him from behind her pink buy'ce. "I forgot. Pretty silly huh? Mandalorian kids don't wear Alderaanian clothes. Thank you, Daddy. Remember to hit hard and watch out for big pointy objects. You sure you don't wanna take my Tuk'ata in with you? Wembley's really good at his basic commands now. He can even sit pretty."

Ginnie hugged her father's arm as proud as a gemstone in a royal crown. He'd win. Or he'd be out 50 creds. Either way maybe Ginnie could bankroll the return of his initial investment.

Manamune didn't know any of the fighters from a hole in the wall. She didn't know much about them either, except what the holobrochures stated, which was hardly anything to go on realistically. Naturally, she went with the biggest underdogs in the pack.
As she came up to the betting house facility with her speeder, the lone ghost-droid did a quick check of the competition. She placed in her bids and got four different tickets for them.
