Techno Union Invasion of Rebel Alliance Geonosis

Oddball

This is what happens when you tap the glass
Location: Techno Union FOB
Objective: Beat a smuggler and a droid.
Allies: Rebel Alliance [member="Jarven Zexxel"]

Sliding back behind cover the bolts from the damaged war machine and the smuggler splashed against the rock formation leaving black scorch marks upon the ancient stone as they collided into it. Oddball had another canister of blast bugs but at this range they would be a bit overly effective and catch him in the blast zone. They smuggler was closing in along with the machine and this meant Oddball had to start using the DC-18 that was still strapped to his body and barely functioning.

Placing the Viccae assault rifle on his back next to the back pack he pulled the Good Samaritan and used the speed loader to quickly load up a fresh cylinder. He would have to use them on the droid, and the rifle on the human. They would be closing in at any second now, so it was time to stop running and start pressing the attack on the both of them. In one hand he gripped the rifle and in the other the heavy pistol loaded with explosive rounds, he had to finish that droid off.

"Don't fail me now!" He said as he dove and rolled out of cover with the unnatural speed and power of the exosuit.

Coming up in a high kneeling stance less than ten meters away from the two combatants oddball brought up his weapons and aimed them at them, and at ranges of five to ten meters he didn't need the HUD to tell him where to aim. And it certainly helped when the enemy had a nice shiny lightbulb for a target. He squeezed both the triggers and with the pistol aimed right at give droid's optic the explosive sith killers roared out of the barrel and the flashes of blue blaster light exited the DC-18 towards the armored foe's chest. The plan was to suppress them, charge In then start using the Samaritan at close range to either slash or shoot them.

Pain, he was about to be in lots and lots of pain. I hadn’t realized how bad off he was, but now I did. I didn’t feel bad for him though. At least it would be quick. I flicked my blaster to alternate and three round burst. Make it quick and painless, that’ll be the most humane way of handling it. I reached out with the Force, letting it assist me in targeting the cyborg warrior, I had plenty of time, he wasn’t even paying attention. I squeezed the trigger, sending three high power kinetic assisted Charric bolts at him, followed by three 12.7mm rounds. The charric bolts were new, and most people didn’t expect them, so it would be interesting to see how he would react to them.

I took a fraction of a second to decide, no kill like overkill, and fired a grenade from my Viper-2 at him for good measure. Worst case it ruined the nice fancy gear he was dropping on the ground. Best case it blew him sky high.

My troopers were focusing on finishing off his support. I mean with thirty mini-rockets, one hundred fifty mini-grenades, and sixty thermal detonators, I was sure they could bring the whole place down if they needed to, but that might endanger me or my allies. Best to stick to the simple kill for them. They followed my example letting heavy charric blasts and high powered slugs win the day, and his forces were pretty outnumbered anyway. It was just a clean-up at this point.

Outside the two Mythosaurs thundering along with the Sith Lady’s troops shielded the majority of them from harm, with anti-missile octets, quad laser cannons, and heavy shielding enveloping any troops she decided to have travel beneath them, the metal beasts provided excellent protection, or a very suitable mount for [member="Vrag"] herself. At this range there was no need for the main cannons, and power from it was being re-routed to restore the shields and keep them there while dual heavy laser cannons dealt death to enemy vehicles and infantry… and infantry were going to have very serious trouble attempting to injure them in response. Whole squadrons of Starfighters had trouble bringing one down, there wasn’t much infantry were going to do against the Eighty Meter Walkers with Heavy Shielding and Heavier Armor.

Were they winning?

It was hard to tell, it was always hard to tell when you were only a soldier on the ground. They met no resistance here, but elsewhere on the planet there could have been heavy fighting and death on the Techno Unions side. Of course, he somewhat doubted that.

A heavy grip on his blaster pistol, a new powerpack slapped into place. The sound of the charging shot ringing out as another man dropped dead onto the floor from heavy plasma. Kiran bit his lip, his eyes shifting towards the distance where he could see the foundry. That feeling was still in his chest, that crawling itch that meant she was here.

“Lady Vr-” He tried to catch Vrag's attention over his comm's, tried to speak, but he was interrupted by a heavy thud against his chest.

The strike of the turbo-laser was like having a starfighter dropped onto his chest. It felt like his entire body was crushed and placed into a vice. His eyes opened, his mouth parted, and he let out a loud hoarse breath. Instantly Kiran was thrown off his feet and to the floor, blaster flying away from his grip, wind knocked out of his. He smacked against the ground, thudding against the floor with a pained grunt.

His eyes shut, and his fingers curled. “Ow.”

Units of background noise that I'm too lazy to count

Prime was here to party. Well, as much as party was defined as 'blow things up' for the droid. Next invasion, this unit was getting grenades. And a rocket launcher. This unit could handle the firepower and would use it well. In the elimination of abominations that sought to disrupt the God-Creators' lifestyles. That was why Prime was here. To eliminate clones, and protect organics that provided upgrades. And clearly they were going to need to think of new upgrades after this battle. The arm was useless now, extra weight that the frame of the droid needed to carry around. It allowed for balance now, but that was about it.
The nice part of being a droid was that Prime had zero care that its body was falling apart. If it was going to go down, it would go down in battle. If it had to go down, it was going to take the clone with it. Registering the wireframe of the surroundings, Prime continued to fire the Ripper, aiming straight for Oddball, wishing to separate arm from torso on the clone.

Even when the hit came for the eye of Prime, and a shutter plate got knocked in place from the attack, vision down to 33.3 repeating percent, the unit was still combat effective and began spraying the area with blaster fire. The explosion to the knocked Prime out of alignment however, and the blaster fire was random and not precise. But still, there was a lot of blaster fire. Taking a second, the droid began running a protocol for cover and then realignment. This droid was starting to fail, its central core protected, and its code was copied to a mainframe back in Techno Union space, to experiment on. Not something Prime was aware of and Prime was going to fight to survive to be repaired. Prime was waiting in cover and working on shunting power to boost its systems, but the results were minimal. Reload. Prepare for the next wave.

Prime was going to protect Will Robinson...

Orick T'ane.
That hit did more than Prime realized.

Skidding to a halt, her bare feet leaving side trails in their wake, she saw a whirlwind manifest out of thin air hiding the Jedi behind flying rocks, sand pebbles, and other minute pieces of the surface. For one brief moment she entertained the thought of running through this makeshift protective wall to engage the Jedi, but her common sense hammered the idea into submission. That was what he would want. If the roles were reversed, that was what she would want. Plus, the debris would wreck havoc on her line of sight while putting her at the mercy of the Jedi while he waited for her to come rushing through.
Then the Jedi fell of the Force's grid. Oh, you sneaky Jedi she thought.
She was unsure how many Sith this Jedi faced, but one thing she was sure of was that he never faced a Sith as patient as her. If he wanted to play hide-n-seek then she would wait for him to come hither. And to her surprise, that was exactly what he did; in full force. The Jedi had burst through his own cloud wall of debris with lightsaber raised up over his head ready to come crashing down upon her; nearly catching her off-guard.
From her early training under her Master in regards to lightsaber combat, she was leagues behind being called a master swordsmen. She had struggled. She had failed in lessons. She bore the scars of burn marks on her legs, arms, and neck from poor technique. However, as she grew into her lightsaber technique skin, she began to study the various offensive techniques most duelist employed. Through the countless hours of studying, she was now able to counter most attacks. Most. Some tactics couldn't be directly countered. And this Jedi was more physically stronger than she was. But what she lacked in physical size, she more than made up in agility and cunning.
As a practitioner of Makashi, the form granted her the use of a free hand and since the Jedi was committed to his two-handed power attack, and unaware that her Apprentice had turned her blaster in his direction; she attacked. Quickly she threw a powerful wave of Force energy toward his midsection, since it was vulnerable while the Jedi had both his arms raised over his head, in attempt to shove him backwards; throwing him off balance in the process while leaving him open to her Apprentice's blaster shots.

Forces: Morpho Security Division - 100 soldiers with the following: Olympian Battle Armor, T-21 Light Repeating Blasters, sniper rifles, MiniMag PTL missile launchers, thermal detonators/50 soldiers from the 77th Bothan Ranger Battalion: Special Forces, scouting, sniping and placing KE-6b mines/7 Heavy Tanks

The front line of the Morpho Security Division and the Bothan Rangers held firmly onto their T-12 Light Repeating Blasters as they trudged over the rocky hills towards their target. They descended upon the smaller group of Republic soliders, rapidly firing their blasters, swarming over the ridge where Seraphina Shel’tah’s troops were. Soldiers with MiniMag PTL missile launcher took up strategic positions on the flanks and missiles rocketed out towards both troops and Siege Tanks. The more of the advanced and undeterred of the Bothan Rangers would even try to make their way into the tanks themselves to pull out the gunmans and crew before they had a chance to swivel their cannons around. The field was awash in the sounds of screaming and explosions.

The Rebel Siege tanks swiftly answered the Hapan officer's knock on their door and one of her tanks bore the brunt of the damage and was blown apart by the focused fire. The tank lay in pieces along with her men.

Tmoxin gave the order to again fire the ACS-501 cannons at the Republic troops at hex 0814. Friendly fire was inevitable at this point, because Commander Temi had essentially sentenced some of her front line to certain death.

But if they do what they’ve been trained to do, she thought, monitoring her battlefield computer for the latest data, the strongest will survive. She looked over at her Lieutenant and he gave her a weary nod. They were both exhausted as the long day was beginning to turn into dusk. But now was the time to keep the pressure on.

“Are you tired, Lieutenant?” she asked. He was surprised at such a personal question but only answered:

“No Commander. I reckon, I can sleep when I’m dead.”

Both cloud cars barrel rolled laterally in opposite directions, leaving an open pocket of air in between them. The incoming proton torpedoes turned as sharply as they could, but not nearly fast enough. They detonated when the CRAM on the ground hit them with composite beams.

Orcus had other matters to worry about. An entire squadron was bearing down on Vrag's forces. He would not be opposed to her demise, true, but post-mortem he would have a rather unsavory amount of enemy starcraft to deal with. Better to eliminate them now.

A flipper delved into a pant pocket and withdrew the com link that had a secure connection to both of the other Sith Lords. "Adekos, I kindly request all available AA focus on those inbound fighters. And Carach, finish leveling the airbase with your artillery, if you would? Hauum."

The cetacean turned to his MA-1 troopers. "Open fire on those fighters."

While the majority of their weapons might have been anti-infantry, BTI-Reavers could fill the air with a lot of blaster bolts. Not enough to take down the enemy craft, without proper targeting systems that would be all but impossible, but enough to be a mild deterrent.

Soon the sky was spackled with the unrelenting fire of nineteen light repeaters, each individually capable of taking down a light armored vehicle. The cloud cars also moved to engage. Both targeted a rebel bomber and loosed a concussion missile.

Orick watched as [member="Oddball"] pulled out a set of weapons and aimed them at both him and the droid. He wanted to laugh at his luck but he kept his focus on taking the clone down. He began to zig-zag to the left and right to avoid the oncoming fire. The clone might have been highly trained, but aiming at two different moving targets was something that even an advanced droid brain would have trouble doing. He glanced over at the droid and saw that it was still standing and that he was firing on the clone as well.

Orick took aim and began to fire off shots at the heavy pistol at the clone. He had the advantage of shooting at a stationary target, and while he was moving it was easier to aim his pistol into one spot than it would be for the clone to track his movements. The distance between them was menting away quickly and it was only a few moments for him to reach the clone. Melee range was a dangerous proposition for all parties involved, as they both had enhancements that would make this a dangerous fight. He fired off a few final shots, his chest burning from the broken ribs, his movements jerky from the constant attacks that impacted into his armor. His body slammed into the clone at full speed, and the world went while for Orick.

Who was showing up on the battlefield?

Who indeed?

Marek knew enough here that there were greater threats than everyone around them

But Peregrus was here to maim.

The one thing that Peregrus was doing, currently, was agreeing with Marek Starchaser. The being ahead of them, the pink Twi’lek, that needed to die. All Jedi needed to die. All everyone needed to die. The metal army will claim this world and advance the galaxy into a golden era. Peregrus was going to kill the Jedi. Slice its lekku off with a blade and watch it bleed. Peregrus was going to enjoy this.

Well, Marek couldn’t argue. The Jedi had come to assist a known terrorist organization. What did that say about their precious light side? Disgusting. Lets help a group of people who have willingly burned plantations on Charros IV. Yeah, Marek remembered that chit. And it just boiled here. He knew the connections, with the assistance of some words from Selka Ventus, one of the brightest minds the Techno Union had to offer.

They should die, Starchaser.

Some people wanted to fight with their demons. Right now? Marek Starchaser wanted to give in. He wanted to sink into that delicious abyss of the Dark Side, the taboo, the wilds of the universe. He wanted the knowledge, he wanted the abilities, he wanted the power.

And power he would have. The armored Force user landed on the field of battle, the storm whipping sands and filling the air with a thick heat. A dry heat as most of the humidity that was stolen from the bodies had been expended in the tornado. Peregrus could feel the beings around him, from [member="Darth Carach"] to the Obsidian Master on @Sigma’s special teams force, the soldier known as [member="Tmoxin Temi"], to the Master of the being formerly known as Marek Starchaser, @Dagora-Kel. None of them mattered.
All that mattered was Peregrus.

This new being in the galaxy was thanking the last one. Without that boost? Marek would’ve kept that fething wall up. It was ridiculous. If you could taste the dark side? Why not taste it. Treat it, own it, belong to it.

It was where the fun was. It was where feelings and emotions ran wild, and the being that landed the Razorhawk-powered armor was all over that. He was going to show the Jedi what it meant to be true to the power that was in you. The armor that was constructed by Marek Starchaser provided adequate protection against the storm. Peregrus was not going to get sand in his eyes, at least. And the armor was keeping the stinging sands and the dry heat from affecting him.

The armor was going to need to be made better. The orange lightsaber ignited

“Come out, Jedi.”

Marek didn't live here anymore.

Nyos felt the blaster bolt hit his back as he ran for cover, his armor took the shot with ease. When he crouched, the second he looked around for a way to gain the advantage, he saw the Mando line up a shot on him. Nyos brought up his arms to block his face and took the shots to the arms and body. There was the distinct clang of metal on metal. The armor on the left arm was gone and the bullet hit the metal arm underneath.

As for the Force Blast from the dark figure, Nyos was excited to finally have a breather. His arm was rebooted, and now he could take the offensive. Nyos pulled out both of his swords, and sprinted towards the dark figure as the saber in their hand shined like beacon as his perfect target. Luckily for the cyborg, he moved just in time for the space he was recently occupying exploded. Crossing the distance quickly, Nyos lashed out with both swords aimed for his enemies midsection.

War was always hell. Chatter from the bombing crews rang out periodically over the rest of the squadron communications, with apparently pleasing results from their run on the artillery position. However, their little assault had stirred up quite the amount of trouble. It was customary for the Rebel Alliance to heavily rely upon hit-and-run tactics and this gun run was just your typical day in the life of a Rebel pilot. Several mobile AA emplacements had made their debut and even more forces were moving in as quick as they could to respond to Lok and his Crimson Aces.

Most of their fire had been avoided due to their immediate retreat from the area just as darkness began to loom over the area. It was a bit much in overkill to take out a few starfighters, but the invading Technope Union forces had responded with force. The X-Wings had high-tailed it outta there with the Scurrg bombers close behind in tow. It took a little effort to maintain a tight formation but those Cloud Cars were on the bombers before the sensors could even pick them up. Each Scurrg's autocannon began blaring at the pair of incoming bogeys in a millisecond - but just a millisecond too late. Two bombers were blasted to smithereens by concussion missiles.

"Stang!" The pirate snarled, "Pull back and regroup, drop those hotshots as fast as you can!"

The X-Wings and bombers still continued their route back to the Air base but advanced autocannons and an entire squadron of fighters were now bearing down on the Cloud Cars. If you're a little bad at math, this equation left Lok Jorunn completely out of the mix. Where was he? Probably doing what he thought was right.

"Boss! Where're you goin'! We gotta regroup!" Crimson Three cried.

Lok's X-Wing rocketed off back towards [member="Vrag"] and [member="Silara Kuhn"]'s forces. "Me and Lucky are headin' back; gonna take the fight to the enemy." His fighter zipped past various heavy repeaters and other flak rounds spiraling upwards to land about half a kilometer behind the Techope Union lines before landing in a fairly stable, craggy area. The pirate and his astromech droid were out of the craft in an instant, moving as fast as they could to pull out necessary gear and cover the Wingsteed with baffling camouflage netting.

"Lucky, stay and watch the ship. If you see anything that isn't me, then hide. If they come for you, leave without me and head back to base."

He silenced whatever remarks the little bot had by shouldering his weapon and taking off for the front lines.

The droid came in on its two back legs. It was impressive that the machinations of this machine were able to keep a pose like this while charging ten feet. It did this, but Jarven noticed the distinct lack of stabilizing features, such as mechanical toes. Jarven was tempted to take a hold of one of those legs, weather the blow, and force the unbalanced giant onto its back. However, he figured that this thing must have weighed about 1000 pounds...or something similarly heavy. He didn't want to get run over, so he opted to jump up using his leopard like leg muscles and latch onto the behemoth's leg that was out for kicking.

The stick leg didn't land the intended blow on him, but he had to body check an entire metal leg against his body. "UUF! That's going to bruise..." he said to himself. His bones were like steel and his skin was toughened, but the impact was still jarring. He was grasping on to that front right leg and, using almost every part of his body to hold on, he grabbed for his Outlaw Shotgun from behind his back and stuck it point blank at the droid's highest leg joint. He was in a warzone, so he had taken clear steps to make sure that at least his own shotgun was cocked and ready to fire. He fired a Pack o' Punch straight into the joint.

Oddball's mind raced with possibilities, the droid had been hit good and his vision had been hindered greatly. But at this range it didn't matter if you were blind, squeeze a enough rounds off and you were bound to hit your target. Oddball lifted his DC-18 trying to shift into firing on the droid but the mechanical monster hit Oddball's weapon dead on and fried it. The DC-18 was useless now and might as well of been a big paperweight, but his misfortune didn't end there. Another bolt slugged him in the shoulder breaching the armor and damaging the tissue bellow, whatever it had hit had just burned something deep and fried a few nerves.

Hot pain shot into Oddball and he grunted In discomfort as another bolt impacted his gut breaching the armor again, however due to the thicker plating on the chest the burn to his gut wasn't life threatening at the moment. In a hour or two when dead bile started to pile up and the wound went septic it kill him if he didn't get medical attention.

But even then the attacks kept coming, the smuggler barreled into Oddball like a professional linebacker and sent him to the ground with the smuggler on top. The trashed DC-18 went flying but a Oddball maintained his grip on the Good Samaritan that still had four rounds left in it. Now this was where the fight got even more intense, it was time to either make or break in this moment. Everything was war right now, survival, guts, blood and glory. This was the moment where you decided whether you lived or died, and right now Oddball intended on making sure he saw this through until the end. With the smuggler on top and the Samaritan in his left hand everything was lined up where it needed to be.

Blade.jpg

"Chew on this!" Oddball yelled as he drove the blade with the strength of a wookie straight towards the unprotected underarm so if the blade hit it would enter through the armpit and into the chest cavity.

With his left hand oddball was barely able to line up the shot in time and dumped three more rounds towards the machine's head and chest. The monster was almost down and these explosive .50 caliber bullets were doing the trick. He just had to hope the shots would bring down the droid so he could use the last one on the man atop him. They were very worthy adversaries and Oddball would hopefully walk away from this to being thankful that he was able to face such worthy opponents.

Perhaps there was a part of her that had pulled that stunt, just some minutes ago, to show off. It was an itch she hadn't scratched in, well, ever. There had always been a bit of restraint there, keeping her from putting on such a display of abilities that were most certainly not practical in a fast-paced duel, which was why the only other time she'd performed it before was in a one-on-one confrontation that had given her the opportunity to rend the flesh from a Jedi master's body. But she was on Geonosis now, a planet she referred to as a hive world. Much like the spark bees, the Geonosians seemed to be ran by a "hive mentality" - though not to the extent that the Kiliks had in the past. This show was to suit those who were observing, those who had been looking for her. They knew who they were, and she doubted they believed her to have died as easily as she had been proclaimed to be by popular media. That isn't to say she had any urge to see her children again - she hadn't returned for the short while she was back to do so.

The Sith lady's mind was on other things, and destroying every last vestige of hope and prosperity on this karked up world was just begging to be placed at the top of her agenda. Especially when it supplied the fuel to her fire. She had no personal grudge against anyone here - in fact she doubted she knew any of the members of the Rebel Alliance by name or face - but again, in this instance, as with most, it wasn't about her. There was a fundamental difference between herself and the likes of [member="Darth Carach"], or [member="Darth Vornskr"] even, as well as a stark contrast between her principals and those of the ever-chaotic Dredge, though she'd heard he'd died some time before she'd even gotten married so long ago. With the likes of Vornskr and Carach they tended to lead with an ideal, a vision of a preferred society, a galaxy that fitted their image with themselves on top. Dredge, or the former Sith Kezeroth, both tended to act on their personal ideals, in which they may obtain what they please, greed in a nutshell. One was for order, the other for chaos. But between the two lay quite a different outlook on the galaxy at large, something that both sides generally disliked. Silara did not care for order, nor for chaos, and personal matters in moments like these did not even tug at her heartstrings. Some referred to it as evil for the sake of evil, in that those who acted as she did only performed actions that expressly signified that they were evil, doing things to be evil, for evil. That was one way to look at it, granted one that generally ended with being dead before knighthood, but it was not her way of doing things.

Evil, in its truest form, chooses the option that best suites itself at the moment, an objective process to choosing an action that will, in the very end, result in not simply more evil, but total annihilation of everything else. Not quite chaos, but there would certainly be no laws and regulations to force morality and ethics upon her. The moment the One Sith began to act in a way that showed hesitance to cutting straight to the point was the moment she withdrew from public life so many years ago. Now she had returned, for the short while that she had, with every intention to carry out those plans made so many decades prior to today, so long before she was even an adult, so that her progeny and those belonging to the next era, the new generation, may bring the galaxy one step closer to the brink. Anarchy was not in the cards, but entropy.. Yes, that inevitable end of all things was what inspired her. And as she drew closer to the action, the closer she knew she was to moving her piece on the board.

The bomber was down, which was nice. Its pilot ejected, which was a little less nice but not much. Between his piloting and the Force, the missiles did not destroy his fighter; still very nice so far.

Then a warning light came up.

Then the fighter shook as one of its engines blew apart.

It seemed as though a piece of the bomber had come off in mid-explosion and jammed itself in to the engine. It wasn't enough to down the fighter, as Ayden fought to keep it steady while the co-pilot routed engines like he needed to. However, they had to break off from the fight to get the fighter back to the FOB to land for repairs.

At the very least, the fighter had to go back.

Ayden put the fighter in a brief hover before popping the canopy. "Take the rest of the squadron back and get yourself landed," he ordered while checking a few things. "Keep the enemy fighters from making any bombing runs on the base." And with that, he dropped the twenty meters to the ground. The Force softened his impact, though it still rattled his teeth. The rest of the fighters flew off to return to the base while Ayden pulled out a small communicator and used it to signal something.

A few moments later and a speeder bike came rolling up. It had his personal equipment that wouldn't fit in the fighter. Taking the long coat out first, he slung it over his frame with a sigh. Almost immediately he felt better; not completely normal, but better than before he had put it on. The feeling of dread remained, and he was not at all fond of the creepy wave that had spread out. They almost seemed linked. Was it a coincidence, or was there some sort of sinister plan in motion here?

Whatever was going on, Ayden took a moment to reorient himself and finish putting on the rest of his gear before he had to make his next move.

Blane barely noticed Tugoro's bombers in all the mess but easily recognized them as not being part of his little army. Some of Blane's men were hit by Jemmila's attacks while he and others managed to succesfuly avoid, to avoid an attack is one thing, two is more harder, Blane attempted to dodge Cractius' attack but all he could do was to prevent it from killing him. The young lieutenant had now a relatively deep wound beginning from his chest and ending near the ribcage. Although not mortal, it was enough to cause some ammount of pain. Right after the incident, Blane made few steps back and put his AR-47 to his back then suddenly took a DC-17 shooting mostly at Cractius' legs probably attempting to slow him down. After this the lieutenant would begin to run away yelling "Shoot! Shoot now!" At his command the troops begun to concentrate all the fire power on the enemy for few seconds then the marines and snipers begun falling back while the rocket launchers and probably Tugoro's bombers were trying to cover their retreat.

Retreat..but where? Blane didn't think about this too much, as soon as he noticed Thane's ship falling down, he figured he'd regroup at his position and get him out aswell if needed.

Standing nearby the tall dunes ridge, Tugoro would remain calm and still and his breathing relaxed. Closing his eyes briefly and focusing deeply, the young Knight would begin to utilize the Center of Being stance. His senses were attuned and ready for conflict, concentrating only on his immediate surroundings. Having trained his sensing abilities well, Tugoro knew that his enemy was close, as if the danger sense blaring within him wasn't warning enough. Lifting his arms, the boy would take hold of the force energy around and within him, forming a telekinetic grip on one of his lightsaber blades as he summoned it into his palms. Leveling the weapon out with his chin, Tugoro would open his eyes just as Vrag appeared.

Why did he always have to fight the crazy Sith ladies. With incredible speed and reflexes, the Knight would begin to demonstrate his prowess in Soresu, his saber sparking to life as it casted a blue shadow upon the red surface. The boy's arms would move quickly and precisely, employing tight blade work while he performed short but continuous sweeps through the air. His blade came in contact with many thud bugs, slamming them away from his body as he immersed himself further in the form of Soresu. Anything that got passed his blade would be avoided by physical dodges, the Knight moving efficiently as he pivoted and turned, reserving his stamina all the while.

Taking advantage of the time he was given while defending, the boy would begin to examine his opponent and their weaponry thoroughly. It definitely wasn't anything ordinary, it almost appeared to be alive. The armor was also particularly interesting, and the boy had a certain hunch he intended to act on. For the moment he kept up his defense, strengthening his mind barrier the further he fell into Center of Being. As far as he was concerned, they were playing a game for the time being, one that would serve to evaluate the others skill and competence in battle. It was easy to tell that Tugoro specialized mainly in the third form, but he knew he still had many tricks up his sleeve.

Mayhem lunged at the man, forward momentum being the beast that it is. She was surprised at the man's grabbing on to her leg. She was more surprised at the shotgun blast. Impressive. Well, at the least he wasn't a coward. She'd have to acknowledge that. Sadly, her leg flew off. Less sadly, she could grab the leg he was clinging to as she fell. With one arm, she grabbed at the man, aiming to throw him into a wall. She'd lose a leg, but he'd take some damage do. Call it spite, call it madness, but the limping monster was going to have one last swing at the armored punk.

35 seconds. At least the charge would commence. She'd just have to lay low until this blew over....

Were the man on her side, she'd be impressed how easily he managed to dodge the homing projectiles spewing forth from her carbine, but seeing as he wasn't, the woman was merely irritted by the inefecciciency of her attack. Not one to keep doing things that have little effect, the woman let the carbine buckle against her arm only to keep her opponent occupied, putting on a burst of speed as she closed in on the Jedi. The boy was clearly skilled at defense and deflection, that much was obvious, but she'd fought a master of Soresu before, and had the Grandmaster fall before her, beaten and broken against the unrelenting force she could dole out.

This boy? Vrag wasn't particularly worried.

What he did or didn't see while he was busy slicing through creatures hungry for his blood was of no consequence to the outcome of this fight; at best, the Jedi could hope to know the nature of that which would send him to his early grave.

With teeth bared in an eerie leer behind her mask, the Sith would advance into the wide measure, still keeping the Jedi at bay with the help of the thud bugs. Even the most careful of defenses could be breached, and Vrag was rather skilled at doing just that. Still reeling from the recent razing of Telti, the Hand of the Dark Lord was more than ready to cut down whoever and whatever dared stand in her way. If that was a living being… unfortunate, perhaps, but it didn't change the fate that would befall the boy.

Her red blade would hiss to life in her grasp, whispering its desire to rend flesh and bone to its owner, who was all too happy to oblige. Tight footwork had her close enough in no time, the Vonduun coiling and uncoiling along with the muscles of her legs as she would strike upward at her foe, bringing her blade up in a sharp arc, seemingly aiming to split him in half from the hip to the shoulder; but as the point came to be aligned, the firrerreo would execute a quick balestra, intent on driving the lightsaber straight though his left kidney.

It wouldn't kill him, but it would send him keeling onto the red soil of Geonosis, writing in pain, and possibly calling for his mother. You could never know with these Jedi, though.

Kash winced in sympathy as the cyborg took a hit, square to the back, from one of the most powerful blasters ever built. She dropped his weapons. As he moved to engage Raziel blade-to-blade, she shrugged and switched her sword to her left hand. From the palm of her cybernetic right hand came a full-powered paralysis beam, the kind that ignored shields and armor, and would paralyze a limb or a body for hours.

There wasn't much more to it than that. Sooner or later, he'd realize he'd lost and was surrounded.

Meanwhile, the qo'saarai continued their slaughter in the catacombs. Their telepathic chant thundered in her head. The ritual continued, gorging itself on the sacrifices and on the wasted power being thrown around above. The Waves of Darkness penetrated the tunnels, but had little negative effect on the qo'saarai. The spell's excess was co-opted and woven into the ritual, further empowering it.
