PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The Ilamuiold is a complex implant surgically introduced alongside the pituitary gland at the base of the brain, attached to the individuals endocrine system. It's job is that it secretes a specialized human growth hormone designed from a combined amalgamation of Epicanthix, Null, and elements of Gorgodon DNA. Once inserted the organ secretes a specially engineered form of human based growth hormone. Once the effects of this hormone are combined with a diet that is laced with specially chosen microscopic minerals, they synthesize the quick growth of a Blackblade's skeletal and muscular system. It is the product of this that results in a Blackblades massive size, and superhuman strength when compared to a human. After a full year following the organs implantation the individuals skeleton will not only be larger but drastically stronger than a humans, with growth topping out at roughly two point four meters(seven feet and six inches) in height, with a proportionate amount of skeleto-muscular mass. In addition the individuals rib cage will fuse into a solid mass of interlocked bone plate that is slugthrower proof. The fully formed structure protects the Blackblade's organs in a way that a normal human skeleton never could. In combat Blackblades have been seen to shrug off incredibly hard kinetic hits, and telekinetic blasts with relative ease.
Strengths:
  • Super Soldiers: As a result of the glands implantation it drastically increases the individuals size and strength far beyond what a human being is capable of several times over.
  • Durability: The gland causes the bone to harden especially through the introduction of a thick bone plate over the rib cage. This hardened bone structure is nearly slugthrower proof. It would take a highly concentrated series of shots in one specific place to penetrate, as well as providing an extremely high resistance to general kinetic attacks.
Weaknesses:
  • Healing: A byproduct of the gland is that due to the hardened bone plate it makes the daunting task of performing surgery, or any medical work on the individual incredibly difficult. Unless the individual has access to a medical lab it is in fact virtually impossible.
  • Developing: Immediately following the organs introduction the individual will not be able to reap the benefits from it for at least a full year. Due to the complex biological changes, it is required for the subject to cease more than the most limited physical activity inside a specialized facility for the duration of the process.
  • Exclusive: Due to the unique and complex nature of the gland anyone implanted with it will find that the only augments that are compatible with it are part of a specialized series. The individual cannot use other biological enhancements outside of the series.
  • It Hurts: An unavoidable side effect of the bodies drastic transformation is that it is extremely painful, the agony is so bad that there is a twenty percent mortality rate on those who make use of the surgery.
DESCRIPTION

As Blackblade Guard evolved in purpose and according to the galaxy at large a growing demand came from their creators, the Zambrano Lords to produce soldiers who are no longer just superior in the training they receive. These soldiers needed to be superior in every conceivable way when stacked up to the best humanity had to offer, especially the galaxies various warrior cultures. It began what would be called the COLOSSUS series. After the development of the Preserver yielded successful results, the Guard's own Biomedical Science Corps in conjunction with scientists from the secretive Malsheem Bioengineering went back to the drawing board. Due to the superior size demands the idea was floated to restrict recruitment to very specific human races like Null. But it would drastically decrease the already selective recruitment pool of individuals eligible for service. There was a need to both maintain the recruitment pool while making them biologically superior soldiers.

The Ilamuiold was the answer.

A word that means Ironheart in Epicant, the Skeletal Stimulation Gland was created through extensive biological and genetic experimentation on numerous Null, as well as Epicanthix. Due to their hardened bone structure a strain of modified Gorgodon DNA was introduced into the project. The organ is inserted next to the pituitary gland and is directly interfaced with the human's endocrine system. Once it is combined with a very specific and mineral based diet, the body undergoes the transformation which lasts for a full year. The process is excruciatingly painful with a twenty percent mortality rate on subjects during this time, and they are restricted to very limited physical activity inside a specialized facility for a full year as the body develops. When the process is finally finished however? Results were far better than expected.

The subjects bodies increased in both size and strength with each subject exceeding two point three meters in height, with an appropriate heavy mass to match. Furthermore the individuals bones were far more durable than any humanoid including the creation of a bone plate over the rib cage that protected the vital organs, due to its extremely high resistance to slugthrowers, and kinetic energy. After a successful demonstration before the Saziliebm's of House Zambrano, the entire Blackblade Guard was ordered to undergo this dramatic transformation.

Before I start going over this, could I get you to link the primary source? This appears very similar to the Astartes modification from Warhammer 40K.

The hottest issue I can see here, [member="Darth Prazutis"], is the language involving damage from Slugthrowers.

The gland causes the bone to harden especially through the introduction of a thick bone plate over the rib cage. This hardened bone structure is in fact slugthrower proof, as well as providing an extremely high resistance to kinetic attacks.
If possible, could you revise this to say something like "it would take multiple rounds from a Slugthrower to fully penetrate" or something to that effect?

Also, due to the augmentations to the bone structure, would it be reasonable to assume that if they were damaged in that way, it could prove potentially lethal? That could do for a weakness to balance the submission out a bit more.
