The Fleet is lead by Commodore Rallstaad Barres, a naval officer of some repute. He commands the taskforce from his flagship, the Resolute. Other notable beings in this group are Captain Raadeus Arkba, a white skinned Mon Calamari who commands the Chariot-Frigate Deliverer. Another notable group attached to this taskforce are the Arch-Angel Dropships unit Wyvern Squadron who fly out of the Deliverer.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
This taskforce was originally put together during the Fortress Initiative phase of military buildup that occurred following the battle of Kintan. Taskforce Dagger is a multi-mission naval group designed to provide support to a number of ground based operations. It's primary goal is to land troops in invasions, provide orbital cover and close air support to units already on the ground, provide humanitarian aid following conflicts. Though it can defend itself in space, naval space combat is not the central mandate of this unit.
