STRENGTHS

• Fast: The Sentry-Class Light Corvette is designed as an interceptor/scout type ship capable of performing forward reconnaissance in developing situations. As such it has a faster cruising speed than is usual for a ship of this tonnage.

• Fragile: The Sentry Corvette only has a light shield array and very little armor. It is designed to use its speed to outrun the enemy rather than to stand up to a direct attack.

DESCRIPTION: The Sentry Light Corvette is a hyperspace capable patrol Corvette designed for primarily reconnaissance and patrol operations. It utilizes its high cruising speed to enter star systems and scout them before returning to hyperspace before they can be engaged. If engaged, the ship's small but powerful arsenal can be used to fend off the enemy until the ship can escape. As well it can use its advanced sensor suite and high powered comm array to scout out enemy movements and report back to the main fleet. It is not designed for heavy engagements or to operate on its own for long periods of time.
