STRENGTHS
  • HIMS - A system designed to effectively counter an Interdiction Field; the system shuts off the Hyperdrive System utilizing a gravitic anomaly sensor while also sustaining a hyperspace bubble around the vessel. The system ensures that a starship is not torn from hyperspace and prevents damage to the hyperdrive system while utilizing forward momentum to propel the vessel.
  • Hangar Capacity - The Tarisian-class serves a dual purpose and fills the role of Heavy Cruiser and Dedicated Carrier. This is seen in its extensive capacity to carry additional Starfighter and Support Craft Squadron. The end result is a vessel that is capable of carrying a complement of a larger quantity than a standard Victory-II class Star Destroyer on which the vessel design is based.
  • AR-0B Damage Reduction Component - A specialized system that maintains an ablative current that assists in the removal of harmful debris. It is designed to extend the longevity of a vessel's hull plating by mitigating the damage caused by said harmful debris; often as a result of weapon strikes upon the hull.
  • GalaxyGuard Mk VII - Designed as a means of extending the operational range of the Deflector Shields and providing additional endurance. Each system, when utilized in tandem, permits a vessel to sustain additional fire from an enemy vessel. This added endurance and operational range means that a vessel can remain in the firefight for longer periods before having to withdraw.

WEAKNESSES
  • HIMS - Though capable of preventing a vessel from being torn from Hyperspace due to the effects of an Interdiction Field, it cannot permit a vessel already under the effects of such a field from jumping into Hyperspace. In addition, though sufficient enough to pass through nearly any interdictor field, it cannot overcome the effects of the gargantuan fields, such as that created by the Centerpoint Station.
  • Additional Weakspots - As the vessel was designed in mind to carry a larger complement of smaller craft in extended Hangar Bays, these provide additional weak points in the design of the vessel. Each hangar, though guarded, still has the potential of acting as a breech point for an enemy boarding force. Likewise, sufficient damage to the shield in those areas could also have the potential of leaving the internal components of these sensitive areas exposed to enemy fire resulting in catastrophic internal damage.
  • Slow Moving - The Tarisian-class was designed around Hangar Capacity and extensive Firepower and Defense. In order to pursue these avenues, the vessel's design had to sacrifice in other areas. The vessel is known to move slowly, and have limited maneuverability, often forcing it to rely heavily upon its Starfighter Complements or Escort Vessels to run down smaller vessels that are more maneuverable and have a higher speed rating.
  • Command Bridge - Similar to many of the Imperial-Era designs, the Tarisian-class is based on the design of the older Victory-II class Star Destroyer. Though this dagger-shaped design ensures that all weapons can be brought to bear on a singular point, it also places the command bridge and the Deflector Shield Generators in a precariously vulnerable position. In the event that the command bridge was heavily damaged or destroyed, the vessel would be rendered inoperable.

DESCRIPTION
The Tarisian-class Heavy Cruiser represents the first production line of Aether Systems and the return to the world of Shipwrights for Amelia von Sorenn. Following the similar designs and aesthetics of the older Victory I-class and Victory II-class Star Destroyers of the Imperial Era; the Tarisian-class retains the dagger-shaped profile that has become synonymous with Imperial vessels. Where it differs from its older cousins, is a design focused on the extension and expansion of its capability to carry additional craft which has resulted in an expanded hangar capacity. This new design saw the removal of additional cargo space in favor of expanded hangar bays, though this resulted in a trade-off in that the Tarisian-class cannot carry as many consumables as the older Victory II-class Star Destroyer on which its design is based.

As a result of pursuing a route focused on hangar capacity along with increased firepower and defensive capabilities, the Tarisian-class is notably slower than most vessels as well as lacking in maneuverability that is often seen in similar vessels of its size or those that are focused in those aspects. This can often result in the Tarisian-class being incapable of pursuing enemy vessels or relying more heavily upon its Starfighter Compliments or Escort Vessels to run down smaller, faster vessels that are more maneuverable. Though the vessel is more than capable of trading blows in a sustained firefight, its additional hangar bays are noted to result in unintended weak spots within the vessel. This has the potential in resulting in a catastrophic event should the shields in those areas fail and expose the internal components and workings of the vessel to enemy fire.

Due to sharing the dagger-shaped profile of the Victory II-class Star Destroyer, the command bridge of the Tarisian-class is exposed as noted in similar Imperial Vessels designed by the Empire. This design places the command bridge in a precariously vulnerable position and can result in the vessel being rendered inoperable in the event of sufficient damage to or the destruction of the command bridge. However, the Tarisian-class is equipped with a more advanced piece of technology than its forebearers, that being the HIMS (Hyperwave Interial Momentum Sustainer). This specialized system prevents the vessel from being torn from Hyperspace by shutting off the Hyperdrive and sustaining a bubble around the vessel, utilizing its momentum to carry it forward. Designed to explicitly overcome Interdictor Fields and their effects, and capable of overcoming most such fields; it otherwise cannot allow a vessel to jump into Hyperspace from an Interdictor Field, nor can it overcome the effects of gargantuan fields such as those created by the Centerpoint Station.

Exchanging speed and maneuverability for firepower and capacity, the Tarisian-class represents a new corporate asset that is being deployed throughout the Galaxy to announce both the establishment of Aether Systems, as well as Amelia's return from parts unknown. Its focus on providing additional capacity to Starfighters and Support Craft Squadrons ensures that additional vessels are being designed for the purpose of providing escort capabilities and to further the Aether Systems Corporation into the field of Starshipwrighting.

I'm pulling this sub because it has been brought to my attention that this submission has a HIMS system while at the limited production level/

Particularly rare or powerful special features will necessitate using a lower level of production, such as stealth or anti stealth technologies (for example: cloaking technology, personal cloaking devices, gemcutters, crystal grav traps, moon dust), or rare canon technologies (for example: Hyperwave Inertial Momentum Sustainers, etc) and their equivalents will only be permitted at Semi-Unique production

Please either remove the HIMS or reduce the production rating to Semi-Unique.
