DESCRIPTION

The Taris Trading Company ( TTC ), also known as The Tarisian Trading Company, or simply as 'The Company' was a merchantile organization headquartered on the planet Taris. The Company was established during the closing days of the Great Hyperspace Wars that had been waged across the Galaxy. The Company was known to focus on the accumulation and transportation of Trade Goods - including, raw Aurodium, raw Moonstones, and Nova Crystals - various Artifacts, Shimmersilk, Spotchka, and Tarisian Ale. It sought to control the import and export of multiple goods through Taris along the Hydian Way, Mandalorian Road, and Spurs of Celanon Hyperspace Routes. The Company was able to maintain connections to its primary marketplaces in the Core Worlds of the Galactic Alliance, the Braxant Run, and the Greater Tion Sector due to its centralized location. The Company was also known for its neutrality and sought business and wealth over conflict and destruction; though it was not above utilizing mercenary forces to secure its assets or force open new markets.

RATIONALE

The Taris Trading Company was founded between 855 ABY and 900 ABY on Taris. The company was commissioned by Amelia von Sorenn and was controlled by a group of Tarisian Individuals that she appointed. The Company sought out those individuals that were known to be eloquent speakers and shrewd traders and valued their talents greatly. The Company was also known to encourage average Tarisian Citizens and individuals of notable wealth to invest in the company for a share of the company and future profits.
