The Tambor Orbital Starfighter Dock was designed by Loymière Shipwright to provide adequate starfighter support for the Hunderine Orbital Defense Station and the Furazan Orbital Defense Platform. The Starfighter Dock comes equipped with several large hangar bays in order to house the 30 Squadrons of Starfighters on board which can be deployed to defend the station, along with room to house 5 squadrons of support craft in the event of an emergency. Within the dock itself is an extensive repair facility which allows starfighters to be repaired then sent back into battle if they have been damaged by an enemy fleet.
Although like any design, the Starfighter Dock has several weaknesses which can be exploited, the first is that the dock has no armaments' to defend itself besides a few point defense systems to counter enemy starfighter squadrons. There is also very light weaponry underneath the dock which means bombers can slip through quite easily.
