Primary Terrain: The surface is covered in ruins. The Civilization that once inhabited Tama either founds ways to leave, or stayed and over time their bodies have mutated into the inhabitants of today. In many places there are what appear to be pools of either water, a black liquid which mimicks water, and clear pools of acid. There are fields of short brown vegetation. The caves beneath the ocean surface have become the homes for the Novo.

Native Species: The Tama are the original species, the new species calls itself the Novo. The Novo of Tama live beneath the surface of the oceans escaping the harshness of the surface. The Novo are bioluminescent in the darkness whether in the water, or on the land foraging. The change in the planet caused a change in their diets, having to gleen more from the oceans to support life the nutrients there changed their physiology. Some have started to mutate even further, children are starting to be born with no eyes but are still able to move about strictly on their senses. The water accesses cover the planet where at anytime the Novo can rise up from beneath the waves to wander the ruins of their once affluent society.

Major Locations:

The largest Clan lives in the ocean city Obnova the access point to the underwater cave is approximately four miles from the shoreline. The Leader there is called Pavle. Obnova has hutlike structures that the Novo use for shelter. They are primitive compared to the core worlds of the galaxy, gathering foods which grow in the cave, and from the ocean floor. The Novo are expert swimmers their mutation while leaving them human like only changed their internal organs.

Within the ruins of their Capital city of Sunce is the vault that contains the wealth of the inhabitants of the survivors of Tama. The population that did not leave Tama, over 300,000 natives stayed behind out of a population of over a million inhabitants.

The Temple of the Goddess Bogat hidden away in the base of her statue is the holocron of Knowledge of the Novo people, their history, their myths, the maps of the once affluent Tama. And if one were to read between the lines of history they may find the Rooms of Golden light. The rooms are rumored to have held four luminous gems, referred to as the Stars of Tama.
Culture:

The Novo each day send hunter gathers out to forage for food for each of the families within the clan. Life is peaceful except when one clan moves into another clans territory then war between the clans begins until one gives up, or the other leaves. No longer do they negotiate with each other. Each clan blames the other for what happened to Tama that disagreement has carried down through the generations.
Technology: Very primitive, anyone coming with a device would be considered advanced.

History: At one time Tama was a center of trade they traveled the galaxy bringing back rare spices, clothes, technology bringing them equal to Coruscant and Lianna. But then then the star that served as their sun began to change the temperatures changed. The once fertile lands of Tama suffered as if the atmosphere had been ripped away. The decline of the sun was forcast and many began to leave to find new homes, but there were those that stayed. The Novo and suffered the consequences of their stubbornness. In time they were reduced to the clans that had started their society hundreds of years ago. They were knocked back to the beginning of time with no technology, and having to learn how to survive on the harsh world that was now their home. Even though the world remained temperate without the yellow sun to nourish them everything adapted, or died.

It is said that if off-worlders were to come to Tama they would be greeted with great hesitation. If off-worlders brought war to their world, they would feel the wrath of the Novo. Weapons which are able to fire acid which would eat away the flesh of anyone not of Tama for they would not have a natural resistence. It is even said that it can eat through metals.

During the first war the Vong came to Tama destroying their cities the leaders of the time offered 1000 of their strongest males and females to them to serve if they would spare the millions that lived on Tama. Had they known then what the Vong would do to them they would never have made the deal.

The second war Tama did not escape so easily, their sun was seeded for destruction bringing them to the condition they exist in today. The destruction of their culture, their world, and their people the price for trying to make deals with the Vong.

Is this a Netherworld submission or a planet for the current map? Your location is the unknown regions when if it is a netherworld it should be Yuzhaan Vong Galaxy.

How did this species survive the campaign of the vong who killed their galaxy?

Your history will need to reflect the two wars that shaped and destroyed a great deal of the Vong galaxy.
