The easiest way to tell Syrena's story is to acknowledge that it is neither a simple one or an easy one. While it is not a story that makes her exceptionally greater or more talented than others, it is one that puts her in a particularly complicated position when it comes to her beliefs and practices, one that she is neither fond nor proud of. Syrena Elerin Kothari was born on an uncharted planet on the fringes of known space, where she knows neither her father nor mother returned from as she was smuggled away by one of their close friends. While she herself is unaware of why this was, what is known is that neither her father nor her mother were aware of their involvement in her birth. Her mother a jedi roaming the galaxy in search of artifacts and her father a sith on the run from the regiments that he served.
HISTORY
Syrena was the result of a haphazard meeting of the two and a tryst that lasted only a few days. While this was not a story that Syrena was told it was one that she could feel as she struggled to find her balance in her emotions as she aged. While she was determined to meet the expectations of the man who took her as his ward, a former jedi master dedicated but errant to the code, she knew that some part of her was drawn to understand the darker aspects of life and the Force.
It would be upon her sixteenth birthday that her master and adoptive parent would present to her a pair of gifts that she knew little of what to make of them. A holocron carrying a message from her mother about the various artifacts she was searching for and the holocron that housed the knowledge her father sought to carry back with him to the order he hoped to rejoin.
While the holocrons presented little in the way of evidence outside of her fathers voice and her mother's face to give her some idea as to who they were, it was her strong connection to the Force that would provide her the answers she sought. Guiding her to dig deeper into the training she'd received and to expand her knowledge beyond she had previously known, she traveled to the planet where her mother had passed and found a sight she knew she'd wished not to see.
There, among a cluster of ancient ruins of what she could not tell was Sith or Jedi, she found what remained of her father and mother and what appeared to be the aftermath of a dramatic confrontation. The man's ambition infuriated her, the woman's love and curiosity inspiring her, she turned away from her desperate need for understanding and found purchase in honing her focus on the importance of the Jedi Order in the galaxy at large.
Returning to find her former master gone, the remnants of his presence in their old home vanished, she turned her attention to the faction with which he had dedicated himself and the order he had alienated himself from: The Republic and the Jedi Order.
She knew not what awaited her there, but she knew time and determination would provide her the answers she sought.

Force Aptitude: While it is still unknown as to how she came to possess such a strong connection to the Force, Syrena harnesses an a connection to the Force that is far higher than what one would associate with the average human.
Flight Ace: While she is still learning to harness her Force aptitude in areas that are more applicable to combat, she has not fallen short in the area of applying them to her variety of senses. This has led to her becoming something of an ace with piloting and often chooses to transport herself rather than relying on others.
