Summer of ‘59 Event
Welcome to Kaas City Adventure Park!
Summer is here and are the temperatures sweltering! All throughout the Empire as planets in their estival solstice are experiencing an unprecedented heatwave. Rather than stay inside your flats, your military bases or starships. C’mon down to the Kaas City Adventure Park! One of the largest theme parks within the Sith Empire featuring a ten-kilometer wave pool. Oh, that’s right a ten-kilometer wave pool, “Surf Lake.” A dominating feature of the park and is indeed the star of the show!
In the center of this massive pool, the ‘plunger’ device that is responsible for generating concentric wave ‘rings’ to the eight surrounding ‘reefs’. Each reef or section has been custom designed for all manner of rides, swimmers, and surfers. Everything from beginner beach breaks to wipe out alley for the more skilled adventurer. There are soft points and wedges to lend a hand when things get too rough. The device is officially called, “Brizzy Tower.” Guards are on duty around the clock, as are the security teams who are constantly monitoring the park.
At the top of the central device lay an observation deck with a rotating restaurant above it. Families can enjoy the best view in the park and have a lovely dinner to boot. As one can imagine getting around the park is quite the effort, but you, our dear adventurer need not worry! The park features several methods for getting around, a monorail that operates around the perimeter of the park, smaller ‘cart-speeders’ are also available for families to rent as well. The other method of travel is around the lazy river. There are stops throughout where adventurers and their families can grab their tubes and get on or off the river.
Adventure Park features a Grand Resort on the north end. The Grand Crown Adventure Resort features two fabulous five-star hotels with connecting boardwalks. The boardwalk offers an amazing view of Surf Lake with wonderful palm trees imported from Gilaria so that adventurers may cool off. Walk-up bars and cafes, old fashion games, and arcades are available throughout the promenade which also features a lovely dance floor, live music, and entertainment for when that Dromund Kaas sun begins to set.
On the west side of the park we have Adventurers' Cove, or simply, “The Cove.” While Surf’s Lake may dominate the center of the park, the Cove dominates the skyline. Punctuating the air with its colorful array of tubes, slides and water rides. Catch pools collect adventurers at the bottom of each ride and we ask that parents accompany their children to these rides to ensure their safety. The rides take our adventurers on a wonderful, twist and turn journey to the bottom and are sure to keep your thrill seeker busy!
The Cove also features the cool, calm and collected, “Tilly Pond.” Tilly Pond is a designated rest and relaxation area, and great for those who are just starting out on their swim lessons. The Pond is at its deepest, one point five meters so certainly a great feature for families. Through the Pond and even the Cove are plenty of lounges, chairs, tables and rest areas.
Changing areas are also located throughout this end of the park. Lockers are also available for rent, designated dining areas with pop-up cafes and restaurants can also be found throughout this side of the park. We ask all adventures to keep their water shoes, sandals or flip-flops on as walking barefoot may not only burn your feet but walking barefoot around the park is also quite unsanitary so please, keep shoes on while adventuring throughout the park!
Now then on the southern end of the park, we have, the Southern Shores. Southern Shores offers a wide array of relaxation everything from designated sunbathing areas to sand volleyball, water polo, hockey and a massive rock wall for our climbers. It also features the beautiful, “Blue Lagoon,” which offers a swim-up bar and opens up in the evening hours and closes before sunrise. Blue Lagoon also features private hot tubs that are available for reservation, and karaoke on the sand!
The east side of the park offers more accommodation options from tiki-like bungalows, shopping mall, holoflix theater, and indoor trampoline along with the numerous food courts and indoor limmie [soccer], puttie [mini-golf], and an entire rumble pin [bowling] alley. Massage parlors, saunas, and designated quiet areas are also available on this side of the park. This is also where medical/the infirmary is located, there is also an on-site pharmacy for those in need of medication. The east side of the park has been referred to as, “Reef Village.”
Whatever the reason for your stay, we just hope you have a wonderful time! Welcome to Kaas City Adventure Park and have a fabulous time on your family adventure!
