  • EMP/Ion Resistance: The Parabrite/Dunalmite alloy gives the Spinnaker-class Transport incredible resistance against EMP/Ion weaponry.
  • Stealth Polymer: Much of the hull of the Transport has been altered with HPI's Stealth Polymer. The ship is not invisible, the bright colors and highly reflective metals making it obvious to the naked eye. But common scanners have a difficult time detecting and locking on to the Spinnaker-class Transport due to this polymer.
  • Hull Integrity: The Ossis II framework and thick armor plating lets the Transport take a great deal of damage before losing hull integrity.

  • Glint of Gold: While the Stealth Polymer protects the ship from passive scans or standard scanners available on the civilian market, it does not protect from advanced scanners or a coordinated effort to detect the vessel. Furthermore it is quite obvious to see when in close distances due to the bright coloration and reflective metals.
  • Limited Firing Arc: What few weapons the Spinnaker-class Transport has are positioned entirely at the front of the vessel, and are mostly to use as a deterrent against asteroids or space debris. This means that skilled pilots who are sure to attack from the sides or back of the craft are safe from the Spinnaker's weapons.
  • Built In: The Ossis II frame is so ingrained in the ship's structure that the ship must almost be completely deconstructed to repair the frame.

As the High Republic navy transitions from a regional defense fleet to a proper galactic military they have begun to commission larger and more specialized ships. The Spinnaker-class Transport, named after the city of Spinnaker on Naboo, was designed for an event the old military wouldn't have even considered: planetary invasion. Should the Republic need to push into enemy territory it is the Spinnaker-class Transport who will ferry the Republic's troops to enemy worlds, deploying these soldiers through the rear opening ramp onto enemy soil. The Spinnaker-class Transport was designed after the Naboo Royal Lifter of old, with the motive to very quickly and very dramatically push through enemy surface-to-air fire or enemy blockades to deposit soldiers on a planet's surface. This experience has earned the ship the loving nickname 'Drop Rock' by troops who described the ship's descent like "Falling out of orbit like an asteroid". While having only seen service against pirates or criminal syndicates the Spinnaker-class Transport is already proving a valued ship in the High Republic navy.
