SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Unremarkable: To the casual observer, the Slashtromech Droid appears to be a standard Astromech Unit, meaning that it is likely to be overlooked or ignored until it is too late
  • Jedi Hunter: Slashtromech Droids are specifically designed to engage Jedi and Sith in close quarters combat, with each unit coming equipped with a Lightsaber, an HDNA-Mk I, an Electro-Shock Prod and a Spark Projector
  • Mechanical: Because they are droids, the Slashtromechs are unaffected by fear, anger, or force based powers that attack the mind
  • Frequent flyer: Since they are equipped with NZ MAM MkII Jet Maneuvering Gear, Slashtromech Droids can move surprisingly swiftly, allowing them to surprise force sensitive foes
WEAKNESSES
  • Gimmicky: The main advantage that a Slashtromech brings is the element of surprise, as no one expects an Astromech Droid to engage in combat. Once its cover is blown, the Slashtromech loses much of its advantage over force users
  • Close quarters combat: Slashtromech Droids carry no long ranged weaponry, forcing them to engage their foes in close quarters combat
  • Weak: Though the lightsabers that they carry are absolutely lethal up close, the Slashtromech Droid itself is rather physically weak
  • Specialized: Being specialized for combat means that the Slashtromech Droids loses much of the versatility that a standard Astromech Drid brings
DESCRIPTION

As the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant continues to explore all available options for defeating the Sith Order, one particularly fascinating model of droid has emerged from their efforts. Based off the Advanced "Blastromech" Droid, the Imperial Remnant has created what they called the "Slashtromech Droid", a modified Astromech Droid that is designed to engage Jedi and Sith in close quarters combat.

Each Slashtromech Droid comes equipped with a variety of different weapons, including a Spark Projector, an Electro-Shock Prod, an HNDA-Mk I and even storage for a single Lightsaber, which the droid can manipulate with its Fine Worker Arms. Coupled with NZ MAM MkII Jet Maneuvering Gear, the Slashtromech Droid can prove to be a surprisingly difficult opponent for force sensitives to deal with.

Of course, the biggest strength of the Slashtromech Droid is its mundaneness, as from the outside it resembles a bog-standard Astromech Droid, one of the most widely used models of droid throughout the entire galaxy. This is entirely by design, as the Slashtromech Droid is best suited for ambushing unaware foes, cutting them down in Lightsaber combat before they ever realize what is about to happen to them!
