- Iron Skin: Simply put, Siv's beskar'gam is extremely protective. Beskar and Trakar plating are perhaps the most obvious points of defense that the armor boasts, protecting Siv from high-powered weapons and the Force respectively. But the armor's defensive capabilities go beyond even that, to include defensive measures designed to protect Siv from nearly any sort of harm that could come his way.
- Death by a Hundred Knives: Siv's beskar'gam is filled to the brim with weapon systems, enough to outgun a small army if needs be. From concealed weaponry to explosive munitions, it affords Siv flexibility in his methods of attack and the ability to counter nearly anything thrown at him.
- Exposed Joints: To add mobility, Siv's armor sacrifices some protectiveness by not having everything be covered universally in plating. Exposed parts of his armor mean weak points that enemies can exploit.
- Bioweapons: Siv's armor has no protection against biological weapons.
Beskar'gam -- the outward symbol of a Mandalorian's identity.
Beskar is an alloy that only the Forgemasters of Mandalore can craft, smith, and perfect; although other cultures try to steal or replicate the process, Mandalorian-made Mandalorian Iron is still the purest sample of the substance that can be found. It is impervious to lightsabers, blaster fire, and kinetic slugs, one of the strongest substances known to the galaxy. And to a Mandalorian Warrior, it is one of the most precious things they can own.
Siv Dragr's own set of beskar'gam is his most prized possession, a treasured heirloom that had been passed down through his familial line in Clan Dragr over the centuries. It was last worn by his maternal Grandfather, and his grandfather's grandfather before him. Over the hundreds of years that it has been in the clan, it has been worn, repaired, replaced, and upgraded many times to the point where only small portions of it are comprised of the original suit; but in Mandalorian eyes, it is the spirit of the wearers passed down that is most important. And what is important is that no member of Clan Dragr died while in what is now Siv's set -- a streak that Siv aims not to break. To that end he is constantly upgrading and maintaining his armor.
Case and point, the beskar'gam is incredibly protective, as it should be. A wide range of materials protects Siv from physical harm the most obvious of them being the beskar and trakar (voidsteel) plating. The former is widespread across all armor plating in the body and provides physical protection against penetration by a wide variety of weapons -- lightsabers, blasterfire, kinetics, just to name a few -- while the latter protects the wearer from directed Force attacks, although the location of the plating is much more selective, just along the torso and helmet. Inertial ablative dampers underneath the armor's plating are included to absorb shock from kinetic forces and armorweave and Norris root dye are utilized in portions of the armor that are not protected by the plating.
The armor is not just a means of defense, though, but is equipped with a variety of tools that are utilitarian or even outright offensive in nature. Various scanners and sensors help create a comprehensive heads-up display that can aid Siv in a variety of situations. Multiple weapons, including a sheathed vibrodagger, whistling bird darts, flamethrowers, vibrocords, disruptor pistols, etc. can be found across the weapon, meaning that Siv can essentially never truly be disarmed. A variety of technologies insulate him from damage and allow him to deal with damage in return.
But what is really important is that it is more than a suit of armor -- it is the physical embodiment of Siv's heritage as a Mandalorian and scion of Clan Dragr. And it is the only thing he has left.
