The Tarka'yayr, the Electrowhip of Clan Dragr. A deadly weapon created to be able to combat the energy weapons used most famously by the Jedi and Sith orders, the Tarka'yayr design is one rooted deep in the history of Clan Dragr. Now, after the Collapse and fall of Mandalore and near-extinction of the Clan, this Tarka'yayr is likely the only one left in the galaxy.
Designed specifically to counter the lightsabers of Jedi and Sith, the whip of the Tarka'yayr is formed of three main materials; the outer layer is a composite weave of both beskar and cortosis fibers; the beskar strengthens the cortosis and adds additional resistance for the whip while the cortosis is able to shut off a lightsaber temporarily on contact. The core of the whip is made by a tight, dense weaving of ultrachrome filament that conducts electricity from a power pack at the base of the weapon.
The base of the weapon is a tight compartment in which the whip, when not in use, is stored coiled up. Small enough to fit into a gauntlet or vambrace, the Tarka'yayr has protective duranium plating as well as duravlex heat resistivity plating and ebonite electrical resistivity plating. The Tarka'yayr is released by a simple flick of the wrist that allows the whip to fly out of the base, while an 9-ES motor is able to re-coil the weapon back into the base when its use is done.
Altogether, the Tarka'yayr is a very deadly and powerful anti-energy blade weapon.
