- Fast - This new model of STAP can move at great speeds similarly to the original, and can easily outpace or outrun other vehicles in the event it needs to make a quick getaway from hostile forces.
- Manuveurable - The Sith Trooper Aerial Platform is very manuveurable, and is capable of flight, which is useful on planets where a lack of actual land can be disadvantageous for other vehicles. It can also turn itself very quickly in a pinch, when required.
- Weak Armor - Being a speederbike, the STAP is not built for heavy assaults, being better served for reconnaissance or quick, surprise attacks on enemy forces it can outpace. As such, it's armor is relatively limited and well placed anti-vehicle fire will easily destroy it.
Designed at the same time as the SB-1 Battle Droid, the Sith Trooper Aerial Platform is a successor to the Single Trooper Aerial Platform once used by the Trade Federation and CIS. It is a swift, highly manuveurable vehicle, well suited for reconnaissance operations, patrols and surprise attacks on enemy forces. It's simple design means it can be easily used by both SB-1s AND organic troops, making it a highly versatile bike indeed.
