Sith Empire: Conquest of Mon Calamari (finished)

"Life and death, Sirella," Ashin snapped, as she forged ahead into the jungle. "Darren, you're in charge. Take whoever wants to go with you and knock out that fort. Spencer, stay close. Start using the emotional tuning I showed you, as soon as you're able. Focus on the village. I'll keep us safe."

Zalen forced his rancor through the woods. It was hard to control, but once Zalen gained a tight dominion over it, the rancor submitted indefinately. This was somewhat of a progression in Zalen's skills, but this was most likely because the Rancor had been previously tamed by the Amphi-Hydrus making it predisposed to being controlled.

With large foot steps that shook the ground, the rancor climbed to the top of a hill where there was an Amphi-Hydrus bunker. While riding the rancor, he could see that everyone from his group was trying to take the hilltop which he was on. Zalen force the rancor to ravage a group of Amphi-Hydrus sentients. The Amphi-Hydrus fought back fiercely, but now the frog bastards were fighting on two fronts. The Amphi-Hydrus still had an edge due to the fact that they had protection in the bunker if they chose, but they were slowly being cornered by the forces led by Darren.

OOC: moving to fast now man we arnt even there yet.

Darren was suprised that he one was to lead and two the plant woman clung around him and said That he could comand her to do anything. Darren laughed out loud and said "I can do that? Then how about I would like to get my Job done so I dont get in trouble with other people."

Darren then grabbed the womans arms firmly enough that he could show that he didnt like her touching him, yet ssoft enough that he didnt want to break her arms. He then moev into the forest ingniting his white blades. He would hold them like he use to when he was a Sith in training. The blades would be behind his arms points up but the top of his hands were facing down. Darren then began to run.

Since he was the "Leader" he expected them to follow. He ran to the nearest from person and sliced his arm off with an upper cut. He moved to the next one blocking lighting with his blades. Quicker than the frog could react he jumpped into the air and landed behind it. With one stroke he cut the head clean off. he saw a sith fighting a frog that was about to kill him. with the force he pushed the from into the path of a rancors claws killing the creautre. The apprentise looked at him with a question on his face.

"Gather all of the Sith apprentices you can and rush the hilltop bunker." Darren moved on with out saying a word. He saved another Sith from apparent death. and told him the same thing. he kept moving along telling all that he could meet. When he had gatherd about a troop of two dozen Sith he yelled out to all of them "We are going to take the buncker on that hilltop. Kill all of them. No prisoners, No mercy, and most important, dont die. Move out." He now had a small platoon under his command. Darren smiled at it and moved foward to the hilltop.

Spencer nodded. She was here to do one thing...well two things. Spencer was here to calm the masses to put her gift to work. If she did so that meant people didnt have to die, it meant that she would in the end help liberate villages. This was her first step to changing the galaxy and it was thanks to Ashin looking for her. She continued to follow as she heard the Master bark orders.

It was now her turn to show everyone here that she wasnt a plaything that Ashin brought along for show. Spencer focused herself remembering the training from Ashin and the training she had received from Phylis about seeing the force. Closing her hazel eyes she shut out everything and focused on only the force.

Spencer had to trust Ashin more than ever as she pushed out a calm. It took her a moment to find her center and pin point the village, but once she did the calming was sent changing and shifting the fear into happiness and relaxation. She wanted them not to fear the group and to have them see Ashin and company as heroes.

Her body felt the strain almost instantly, but she continued.

Following the crew through the thorn-infested tunnel, Dissero reached up to remove the hood of his cloak, effectively nullifying the spell for the time being. He'd come to an impasse of sorts - remaining beneath the radar would likely no longer serve much purpose now that action would soon be upon them.

Exiting the tunnel and stepping out into the light, Dissero kept after them with measured strides while taking a moment to scan their surroundings. Chaos still ensued in the form of battle between the Sith warriors and their beastly quarry. His pace did not falter even as Darren was sent on on his task, Dissero watched the man take his leave into the jungle with the others at his heel. He paused to let the others pass him by and then moved on to catch up with the Dark Jedi Master, her Padawan and the green Lady. Given just enough time to witness the young Jedi drop into her meditative state, the man lofted a brow at her as he came to stand a few feet away, right hand lingering at the folds of his cloak as he eyed the brutal display playing within the trees.

"Interesting cadre of associates you have, my Lady," he remarked with a glance to Ashin.

"What can I say, friend -- I've got an eye for the unique. And I'm...sociable."

Ashin stretched out to the Force as a rancor lunged towards them, trees crashing in its wake. The rancor met her will, made manifest as a telekinetic blow that snapped its head back and pulverized a spine as big around as her waist. The rancor dropped, and its rider fell beneath the blades of various Sith. She marched on, escorting Spencer.

Sirella Valkner

Because I'm a plant.
The hill fort was half a technological marvel and half palisade made of timbers fell from nearby trees. Sirella frowned looking at it. She understood the harvesting of trees but didn’t approve when it wasn’t absolutely necessary. Rancors, and toads stood in their path. Sirella felt a relief wash over her as Spencer was no longer around. It was time to cut loose. Up the path she walked, crushing any of the toad spawn that got in her way underneath vines and thorns. It continued like this until she reached the top. A Rancor reared up on front of her, several toads riding upon its back. Her vines shot up and wrapped the large wretched creature. “Only now in agony do you understand the oak is of us.” She heard the bones crack as the vines continued to constrict.

A toad came at her from the left running towards her. She blew a kiss in its direction and watched as a flower formed in midair and floated towards the pitiable creature. As it approached it exploded into a small ball of spores. It was a simple matter really, she concentrated on the spores it had breathed in and laughed as the creature collapsed. Moments after it hit the ground the first branch broke through its skin and shot into the air followed by another until a fruit tree was formed.

Before the first tree had completely grown she had already killed another toad, and another. If the battle kept up, she would have an orchard atop the hill.”

Darren charged foward with the 2 dozen troops towards the Hiltop. what amazed hism was that Zalen an apprentice was riding a rancore himself. Darren just smiled and charged. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the Sith master killing frog after frog.

Darren leapt into the air. He jummped far enough to reach the top of the hill. When he got there. he slamed the ground with a force push juse before he landed. In doing so he created a Force wave. that was many times stronger than a normal force push. Adrenalen filled his veins. Darren threw both of his lighsabers at two different frogs. Killing both of them he called back his blades and was suddenly hit with a force lightning. He saw the creature to his right. He smiled and brohd his blades foward. doing so blocked most of the lightning now.

Darren jumpped again and landed ontop of the frog. he placed his hand on the head and fired eletricty though his skull lighting him up like a tree on christmas day. one tode came over with a spear and tried to impale him. he cut the wooden rod with ease and used the force to throw the thing into the wall of the bunker, aming a hole in the wall.

Darren smiled and walked towards the entrance. So far he liked how well he was doing. and would lead into the buncker to clean them out.

I feel them, they’re connecting to me…for the first time – what I feel is what they’re feeling…not the other way around…relax, calm, we’re here to help...

Spencer relayed the same message over and over again. She could feel each individual begin to give into her influence. Her body moved with the force, following the aura that Ashin showed. Seeing the force was something she had only experienced a few times, but the way it looked was so colorful. Everyone had a color, the threads that connected her to the village were like a rainbow spiraling and intertwining with each other. It was something she never wanted to lose, at times the threads glow which from her assumption it meant that someone was for sensitive. She focused on those and pushed more emotion into them knowing that they could probably sense her invasion.

She completely cut herself off from reality; she didn’t know what was going on around her only that she had to trust Ashin. If something happened to Ashin she would be left vulnerable, if she lost her body she would fully lose connection and become one with the force. IT was something that was a downside to this skill. She was helpless and needed someone around her for protection. Spencer wondered if she would be able to defend herself once she became stronger.

Slowly, she felt the village begin to give in. Some were reluctant and knew something was going on outside their village, but as she felt each individual give in she smiled wider knowing she was doing something right. Her heart raced and her body started to feel more and more fatigue. Spencer needed to push on knowing that if she was to stop here she would be holding everyone back. The Jedi did her best not to show the strain, but her headache started to grow more and more the longer she held the connection to the village.

Spencer had to hold the connection till Ashin said she was done, she couldn’t stop she had to push more and more.

Zalen had his Rancor try to break a wall of the Bunker in order to make a larger entry, but the Rancor only managed to dent it. "Damn it, these walls are reinforced with Carbonie. It looks like they will have to go through the front door where the bastards will be waiting for them." Zalen thought to himself, How much does a rancor weigh? He wondered if it weighed more than the pressure it could deliver when it swung its arms for a strike. "I suppose we'll find out." Zalen ignited his lightsaber and inserted it into the rancor's skull causing the beast to die instantly. Zalen jumped off as all 1700 kilograms of the Rancor's weight dropped onto the side of the bunker causing the wall to cave in. Zalen landed on the ground gracefully and began to fight some of the left over Amphi-Hydrus that the Rancor didn't get while he was controlling it. Since Zalen was fighting many opponents at once, Makashi wouldn't work well against so many opponents; he stuck to the Shii-Cho lightsaber form with which he mixed Niman and Jar'Kai. His movements were bold as he parried and disarmed his first opponent. He didn't have time to finish the Amphi-Hydrus off because he was being attacked in swarms. He used his Niman training to chain Force Push techniques into his lightsaber sequences to push enemies away from him as he dealt with their comrads.

A wry smile was his only reply to Ashin - resolving instead to save any remarks for a better time. Allowing the Master to control one side of their path, Dissero took up mark on the other side of the young meditating Jedi. As the amphibious creatures approached he withdrew his saber hilt and in several fluid movements ignited the blade and promptly clipped their heads clean off their stunted shoulders. By the time the bodies crumpled to the ground his saber was already stored beneath the lengths of his robes and he was on the move again, repeating the process of pruning their frog-like enemies along the way.

Deliberate movements kept him well within the protective range of Spencer and Ashin while he issued silent commands to the remaining group of disciples moving with them. A hand single often was all that was needed to direct their attention one place or another, perhaps even a firm mental nudge with the Force. He orchestrated three apprentices each after a rancor and its rider approaching from the south, and with some effort extended his will of the Force to pull a downed tree in its path. The rancor stumbled and soon was felled by the lightsabers of each individual Sith on either side. With the coat seemingly clear, he rounded his attention back to the path ahead. They were passing through downed enemies, some disfigured by plantlife. Intrigued but not enough to paint a picture, he could only shake his head. Somewhere ahead the plant Lady was certainly having fun.

A low hum rose from Ashin's gut as she stretched herself to her full, and considerable, limits. Sith closed around her and Spencer, protecting them as they walked through the jungle. Dissero seemed to be doing a fine job of coordinationg that, but still, their pace slowed out of necessity.

The man who had taught her this power had never dreamed she would use it on an armada in war, or to manage a capital ship that was also a Sith academy. Then again, Hagron-tides-of-green, the old sage of the slums, had spent years tuning the despair and frustration out of a world made entirely of urban poor.

Compared to that, one infuriated and terrified village of Amphi-Hydrus was essentially nothing. She couldn't take their freedom of will away, but Spencer's emotional manipulation was amplified as Ashin lent her full power to the effort. At least part of her strength went to boosting Spencer's reserves, keeping her alert and strong.

Sirella Valkner

Because I'm a plant.
Sirella watched as the walls of the hill fort tumbled down. It wasn’t at all a maneuver she would have recommended but it was none the less effective. Her job was an observer, she wasn’t a teacher, nor was she particularly interested in any of the meat on display. That was to say save one. “Into the breach then,” She said waving at the apprentices to storm the fort. She turned and headed back down the hill towards Ashin. It would be over soon enough, instead she wanted to examine this Jedi girl with a clinical eye...

Darren slowly walked inside with his white blades casting shadows in the corners of the room and light to flood in the center. It was a memerzising effect. He saw some frogs comming his way down a tunnel that would lead downwards. Darren let loose a torrent of lightning to cover the entire path. He shocked all of them. When he was done smoke rised form the bodies and the air smelled of burnt flesh.

Darren walked further killing alot of these frogs along the way. it was alot eaiser to take them out becuase they had to come at him one on one. Giving hinm the upper hand. he finaly reached the bottom where their items were stockpiled. just a few spears and some armor that they wore. He had no intrest in that. what he did find was a map of the out lying area. cave systems in which they could ether hide or smuggle items into the citys. but one was labeled off to the side differently. They had drawn the shpes of crystals on the mouth of a cave. Darren smiled. he would haev a place for him and maybe some one else to see what it was about.

He tore off that section of the map and placed it in his breat pocket. It closed up with a slight click. Darren walked up to the surface to see if every one was alove or not. And to tell them about the under gound tunnels.

The torrent of amphi-hydrus had slowed substantially now. Whether this was due to their numbers dwindling or a retreat in action one could not say, but Dissero found himself with little more to do. Ashin and Spencer were well protected by the remaining Sith disciples and aside from one or two stragglers, their surroundings had grown calm. With one eye on the pair of women Dissero retraced his steps to a downed Rancor and moved in to inspect the beast.

He couldn't hide the twinge of distaste for the thing; the smell was foul - certainly it could use a bed of roses from Sirella. The Sith Knight bent down, removed a second blade from his robes and dutifully removed several fangs from its gaping mouth and stored them away for safe keeping. He knew someone who would love to make use of them and who was he to deny his own mother a homecoming gift?

Dissero returned in time to spy Sirella making her way back down the hill towards them and watched her curiously as she did so. Such a strange, unique creature.

Right when the Padawan felt her strength starting to fade something energized her. She felt a second wind surge through her and she wondered where it was coming from. The longer she remained connected this way, the more that scene changed from just strands of light to space floating around her. Spencer felt her body, but not only that but her soul; the part of her that is connected to the force. She began to understand what the Masters were explaining to her. The part of the conscious that was connected was more than just the mind, but the inner workings of the soul. The side in which a person followed could be considered a reflection of their soul.

This caused Spencer to wonder, she didn’t see this in the essence of Ashin, but she wasn’t a force specialist – just yet. Trying to return her focus to the village she discovered that the strands were shaping into figures. Spencer wondered if she was going too far into what she was connecting too. She wondered if she could lose her sense of sight because of this, either way though she wanted to prove her worth to Ashin and to everyone around her.

While she had stood with them as they bickered, Spencer picked up on the curiosity of the Sith. The young Jedi was determined to show them she was more than just some blonde girl who seemed to stick to Ashin like glue. This determination focused also with her Force energy and she pushed farther into the void. She felt fully connected with the village; she forced her emotions into them making them continue on with their normal day by day activities, they had full succumbed to her emotional manipulation. A smile crossed the soul of the Jedi as she expressed a happiness that could be felt by everyone who was sensitive to the Force. Her focus with that emotion was loose and she made sure everyone around her felt it.

In a way, it was her sign to Ashin that she had completed her influence on the village.

By now, Ashin was carrying Spencer's body as the girl devoted her full focus to the pacification of the militant village. She walked unafraid through the center of town, along with their Sith escort, and found a raised dais of some kind. Letting Spencer down gently, Ashin pulled out a palm-sized holoprojector. She relaxed and let go of her own emotional influence.

The projector also functioned as a camera. With a flick of her wrist, it went airborne, then zipped back to focus on her. The hovercam adjusted to float directly before her.

"People of Dac," she said, and carefully procured broadcast channels sent it to every city of Mon Cala and Quarren and Amphi-Hydrus alike, "my named is Ashin Varanin. As you likely know by now, I work for the Sith Empire. We know you have been worried about the threat of civil war..."

Her speech went on for some time as distant Sith mopped up distant Amphi-Hydrus.

"...the greatest threat to your peace has been eliminated, and it is time for your three great species to build together..."

She also focused on ensuring that Spencer was all right -- and on using Force Drain carefully on the girl's skin and the air in her lungs, decontaminating her from any trace of Sirella's spore influence.

Something disappeared from her, the strands stopped flowing and she felt the world she had created within the force start to spin. The stars and the strings stopped shining as brightly as they were before and Spencer could feel herself being pulled out of the warmth. The sensation was as if she was being pulled harshly out of the heavens. Her hand rose, trying to grasp onto the strands that kept her connected to the other beings around her. There was a shift in her own emotions as she disconnected, no one felt her change, but it was cold in her heart.

Noo, wait…please let me…let me stay!

It was sudden and she was pulled disconnecting to the deep meditation. Sweat formed on her forehead as she felt her eyes flutter open. She was laying there while Ashin performed some sort of healing or cleansing. Her chest rose high and then lowered deeply as she took in heavy breaths, she was exhausted and her body no longer felt light. Her eyes closed for a minute as she remembered where she was and why she had been overwhelmed...

She didn’t say anything for a moment, but stared at her hand as she remembered the colors of strings she held within her palm. She was there, controlling and manipulating the force to her will. The force no longer had a choice in what it was doing; she was the master for that moment. Shoving the thoughts from her mind, her head moved towards Ashin and she smiled.

“Did…did I do a good job?”

Ashin brought her speech to an end and bent over to kiss Spencer lightly on the cheek. "You stopped a war from starting," she said, as pacified Amphi-Hydrus began to come in from the jungle. She gestured around at the frog-like aliens. "You kept these people alive. In time, i think you and I could make miracles."

Darren was walking towards the nearby town where Ashin and Spencer were. others may have a higher stance than him, but he reported to Ashin. It was alittle bit of a walk. he saw a few sith laying on the ground dead silent or moaning from pain. They would ask him to help them. He was very so temped to bey couldnt bring himself to heal thoes that had his mother.

Darren made it to the town and he noticed that it was peaceful. As if there was no battle that just took place. It looked like Spencer had done her Job. he thought to himself, "Good job Spencer." he walked foward to Ashin to report about the caves. He may mention to her later in private about the crystal cave.

"I found this Map in the bunker. I think you should look at it." Darren held it up for ashin to see. He pointed alon the paths that were marked. "These look like tunnels of some kind. More of them may be hiding in the cave systems. what are we to do? go after them or leave them to stay."
