IC Hierarchy:
The Sith Covenant is a loose collection of ambitious Sith that are fairly anarchistic, with informal power structures based on strength rather than law. Authority is largely divided between the Triumvirate, the Sith Council, the Academy, and the Military.

The Triumvirate: “First among equals” of the Sith Council, the Triumvirs have the first and last voice in all matters of the Covenant. At any time, they may be challenged for their title and power. They do not rule the Covenant in the same sense as an Emperor, but as Warlords and masterminds, contributing resources and projecting their will upon the Covenant.

The Triumvirs are Mercy Mercy , Arris Windrun Arris Windrun , and Vestra Tane Vestra Tane .

The Sith Council: Every Knight and Lord becomes a member of the Sith Council upon their ascension, and is allowed to cast votes and determine the direction of the Covenant. However, their influence is directly linked to their own base of power. While nominally every Lord and Knight has equal say, one must be capable of defending their position, lest they be challenged and lose it.

The Academy: The collective of Apprentices and Acolytes that train and learn under the Covenant belong to the Academy. These are not slaves or servants; they are Lords in training and are treated as such. Within the context of the Covenant, they are gang bosses and lieutenants with a limited scope of influence and answer only to their instructors and Sith Masters. At any point, they may break the chains of their limitation and ascend to claim their place on the Sith Council; however, they may be challenged by their peers should they do so.

The Military: The Sith Covenant does not have a unified military force. Instead, each Sith provides a share of their power to the organization. Manpower, intelligence, assassins, capital, materiel. This does not discount the influence of officers and war leaders who serve a Sith Master. They may occupy military dictatorships, direct raids, and rise to places of power on their own - should they have the strength and guile to succeed.

Description:
The Sith Covenant is a marauding force that began with the raid on the Kattada Jedi Temple. Under the leadership of Mercy Star-Arm at the First Conclave, the Covenant was united for a grand purpose: to defeat the Light, despoil the galaxy, and usher in a new golden age of the Sith.

The Covenant has purposefully forgone strict dogma or rigid castes based on ideology. Among their number, what matters is the ability to wield one’s power in pursuit of shared interests. Bound by the simplicity of the Sith Code, whilst utilizing a semi-populist approach amongst the strongest members, with anarchist leanings and a power structure that lends itself to flexibility. Because of this, NFUs have also found a place in our ranks, as privileged and powerful only to the degree that they are useful, but included all the same.

The Pitch:
The Sith Covenant offers a unique angle to Sith RP based on the idea that Sith Lords and their followers are free to gain power as they wish, a philosophy inspired by the Brotherhood of Darkness. We intend to bring Light vs Dark conflict to factions across the board through raids, plots, diplomacy, spies, and intrigue. For that reason, the TSC is well-suited to writers of ambitious Sith, misfits, and characters who do not fit the traditional mold.

We have created a faction that welcomes creative ideas and provides fun, collaborative opposition for light-side writers. As a minor faction, The Covenant has already led and participated in several inter-faction stories, and will increase the pace and scale of these with Major Faction threads.

The Covenant is also a friendly and supportive space for new writers, with a focus on character development and overarching storylines, and is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment in all faction spaces on and off the board.

Our leadership has a proven history of running successful Major Factions, and we understand our responsibilities to our writers, the board, and its rules.

I am looking forward to involving myself in the TSC project this year after being a long-term follower of their threads since the Summer of 2025. While the board already has a Sith faction as major there is a clear and distinct difference with the Covenant by comparison that should be given a chance to affect the map game. I really hope the green light is given to this faction.
