HISTORY
Born as Zorovv Qawn on Naboo, the young Gungan was deeply attuned to the Living Force until the arrival of The Unmaker tore reality open. As Netherworld Rifts bled eldritch horrors across his homeworld, the raw, warp-like exposure shattered Qawn’s impressionable mind, leaving his sensory attunement permanently twisted by dread and madness. In the violent power vacuum that followed the Confederacy’s abrupt withdrawal, he endured severe trauma amidst the planetary breakdown, watching human enclaves hoard resources and marginalize the native Gungans under the guise of "fierce self-reliance."

When order slowly coalesced into the early Royal Naboo Republic, Qawn sought refuge and structure with the local Jedi Order. However, his evaluation proved disastrous; the Jedi detected the volatile dark scar tissue left by the Netherworld and deemed him emotionally unstable and unfit for training. Bitterly rejected by an institution he viewed as an extension of Naboo’s elite, Qawn abandoned his homeworld and fled to the Core Worlds, where he was welcomed into the covert shadows of the Sith Covenant.

Embracing their corrupting power, he cast away his birth name and rechristened himself Darth Balam, adopting the identity of the Gungan god of battles as a calculated psychological tactic. He views Naboo's human and settler populations as a parasitic blight leeching off the planet’s native soul while relying on foreign powers for defense. Backed by the Covenant’s vast resources and shadow networks, he now seeks to exploit historic Gungan isolationism, intending to incite a radical, bloody planetary uprising that will purge the High Republic's influence and reclaim Naboo for its true native species under a dark mandate.
