Caedyn had been facing WelshGuy WelshGuy awaiting his reply when something took to the edge of his mind which raised a mental alarm in precognitive response to Kyra Perl Kyra Perl and Ura Iolar Ura Iolar , followed up by a water balloon hitting Kiran Arlos. 'Damn it all, they'll ruin the food' he thought as he raised a wall of energy before him just in time to avoid being hit by one of those water bombs, this time thrown by Kiran himself. "No! Not around the BBQ" Caedyn exclaimed, more authority coming out in his voice than anything.

A second and sudden alarming call came to mind and Caedyn's instincts kicked in, his hands opening as he caught the two water-bombs thrown by Kyra in mid-air before they could hit he and Master Xeraic. "Take it away from the food, Padawan" Caedyn turned as he spoke, looking to her and cautioning her aloud. He wanted very much to be able to be light-hearted and enjoy in on the fun but there were many guests and visitors about, many of whom hoped for a good meal. He wasn't about to see that go to ruin.

"Go get each other soaked down by the lake will you".

Amani’s gaze finally flickered as she caught wind of a growing commotion. She turned her head just in time to see a stray balloon, ducking reflexively as it passed over and continued towards its intended target. The mirialan blinked a few times, looking around and quickly spotting the culprit: Kyra Perl Kyra Perl . Honestly, no surprise there. And Ura Iolar Ura Iolar ? Definitely less expected, but she pieced it together pretty quickly.

Amani mulled over the idea of maaaaybe finding a new spot to avoid the crossfire, but saw Kyra go into hiding after nearly hitting two of the masters. She hid her face and pursed her lips, stifling a giggle as Kyra got caught and lectured in front of everybody by Caedyn Arenais . Maybe Amani wouldn’t have to find an escape route after all. Besides, now that she was aware of it, she was prepared. In fact, an unnaturally mischevious back up plan had already sprung to mind.

After all, which of them was immediately mastering water in that last elemental class again?

Acaadi paused at the master's stern words. He paused with a water balloon in his hand, wound back and ready to throw. He hadn't been party to the planning of this little prank.

However, he had been quick to use the Force to steal one of the balloons to start returning fire.

His green face slowly twisted into one of guilt and he tucked his hand behind his back.

Jasper looked over to some of the familiar faces that he has known since his time in class while he was eating his food. They weren’t people of interest to him in learning more of the force, but he did felt a little more comfortable being at the event with the knowledge that there were people that he knew from somewhere else there barring the bad people he knew. He never really liked heading into an event not knowing who was going to be there. It forced him to keep he guard up more than he would want to.

Jasper took another bite of his food as he watched a few padawans and knights talking to each other but did not find many masters there which disappointed him spotting one that. Maybe they were mastering other forms of lightsaber combat or learning more about the force. Surely there were some around; Maybe they were around but just not in Jasper’s slight. He was about to take another bite but looked down to see that all his food was done. He was so focused on looking around that he did not notice how much food was left on his plate. He was preparing to get up and put his plate in a trash can but quickly notice one padawan throwing water balloons along with screaming being heard.

Looking over to the cause of the water balloons, Jasper couldn’t help but figured it would be Kyra Perl Kyra Perl who started this. He remembered when she threw water at him when he was trying to use the force on the element itself. It was from then on that Jasper had a pretty good feeling about the type of person Perl was and make it note not to be around her unless unnecessary. Getting up while the commotion disappeared for the time being, or so Jasper hoped, he walk over with his plate to a nearby trash can and put the plate in there after which he begins to walk around the area in the hopes that he can spot some Jedi masters to talk to.

"Why is it always Kyra at the center of these things?" The words were directed at nobody in particular as Jamie stuffed bit more of the cotton candy in her mouth.

Balloons came and went in the air as Jamie went a bit closer to the situation, still staying a safe enough distance away to not ruin her outfit but close enough to watch. Kyra's antics tended to be more amusing than any other kind of entertainment that the Jedi had prepared for everyone. Hopefully Jamie wouldn't become a casualty.

It was a pleasant surprise to see a somewhat familiar face with a familiar tactic of not being pelted in the face by the water balloons.

"Hey! Someone else with a keen sense of self preservation!" Another bite of cotton candy as Jamie strode up beside Amani Serys Amani Serys , lightly nudging her with a smile. "Can never know if you're out of the splash zone with Kyra, though."

He was older than a number of the padawans, but not anywhere near ancient - leaving Shili at 13, the next three years saw him flitting from one difficult terrain and potentially unkind climate to another, learning of cultures and the ways they survived, before he sought something different, ending up putting his lot in with a bounty-hunting guild at the age of 16. The next eight years provided a different education, in the underbellies of ecumenopolisies, from the Core, to the Outer Rim, and beyond, as he learned and plyed his trade, until that one fateful day that lead to his coming here, after recuperating in a hospital. Twenty-four wasn't an unusual age to effect a change in career, even if it wasn't entirely by choice.

Still, those instincts earned didn't die just because he'd gotten chewed on by a beast, so when he arrived at the gathering from a morning run in solitude, that was followed by journaling his early thoughts, then a shower, to find rambunctious activity in the form of a water balloon fight had erupted from the relaxed gathering he had been expecting only scant minutes prior, Atasihd scratched behind an ear, and scanned the people, picking out each assailant and assailee from the many, like he was casing the place. Then as if it didn't matter anyway, he tugged at the collar of his tee-shirt, and meandered over to see Master Arenais about some food, once the knight was done admonishing some of the padawans for endangering the grub. The togruta was glad for it: he came hungry.

So when he rolled on up to the burger stand, clawed hands buried in the pockets of loose, relaxed trousers, he asked for...

"Two nerf burgers, please, Master Arenais..."

Then Atasihd looked back out over the many, picking out the trouble once again, and glancing sidelong at the sheepish-looking ones that stood nearby, for a moment, before returning his attention to the wet-making and lifting his chin to indicate the scene.

"...this is... normal, for padawans?"

He wasn't judging... no, he was genuinely curious. He hadn't been with the Silver Jedi for long, so he was still making heads and tails of things. Apprehensively, he reached up and tucked the crystal pendant that always hung about his neck into the collar of his shirt, just in case - there was an unpredictable element to being here.

The impsih glint in Amani’s eye quickly dropped as Jamie Lysle Jamie Lysle caught her attention, replaced with a pleasant grin instead. She waggled her fingers in a wave and instinctively scooted over to give Jamie a place to sit.

“Hey! Yeah, that seems to be her M.O., huh?” the mirialan leaned forward a bit and shrugged, twiddling her thumbs idly, “S’all in good fun, though.” She smirked and watched the other padawans’ antics for a few more moments before turning back to her new friend, staring at her in thought before speaking.

“Um… I don’t think I know your name, do I? I’m Amani. Serys. I mean, just Amani is fine. Serys is… my last name…” She sealed her lips and gave a flat smile. Introducing herself in a non-awkward way was somehow a thing she had still yet to perfect.

Kyra's shied back a step, the innocent smile she had attempted becoming riddled with a grimace as her Master chewed her out for nearly splashing the food table.

Alright, fair enough.

...But that didn't stop her from exploded the balloons he had held out in front of him.

Pop, pop, pop!

He and Amani would find their packages splattering outward.

Kyra ducked and hit the ground running, moving back down for the lake. As instructed! A giggle, a stumble, and a slip on a muddy patch sent her falling hard on the ground. Kyra took it stride, laughing lightly into the air around her. Mischievous indeed, though those close to her would know she had not laughed like that in quite some time.

Had Ura run off with her? She better! Or the padawan would be caught red handed. ...red bodied? The extra balloons still sat held by her sandy form.

Ura giggled as she threw more balloons around, still not quite understanding exactly what she was doing until hearing Caedyn Arenais . She stopped, looking for Kyra Perl Kyra Perl before seeing a she was froze in place. Oh no.... She seemed to get a little smaller as she stepped back.

"Sorry. We'll be more careful." She then looked where Kyra was running, then saw her slip and fall. Mud? That looked fun! Ura quickly jumped out, sliding as she did.

Jamie gladly took the seat beside Amani Serys Amani Serys , a tooth smile as she sat.

"It certainly does, doesn't it?" She took another bite of the cotton candy as she looked back at Kyra, doubting the scolding would work as well as Master Arenais would hope. "She certainly is a fun girl."

Her body turned fully towards the Mirialan as she began to introduce herself, trying to comfort the girl as she kind of stumbled through her words. Stifling a small chuckle as the girl gave a straight smile, Jamie thought it would be proper to introduce herself.

"Hi there Amani, it's a pleasure to meet you," Extending a hand towards her new friend. "My name is Jam-"

It was during this introduction that Kyra made the unfortunate decision to pop the balloon in front of Amai, the girl Jamie was directly beside. It was shocking and unpleasant to say the least, soaking both the Younger Lysle and the girl beside her.

Her eyes were shut as she processed what happened, taking a minute to cool off and remember her Jedi teachings. But as the sad and soaked cotton candy began to drip on and stain her summer dress, she found those lessons a bit harder to recall.

"KYRA!" Emotions rapidly flipping between frustration, embarrassment, annoyance, before finally resting on something resembling a sad amusement. "WHYYYYYYYY?!"

Raising his hands in the air, Caedyn shielded his face as the Water Balloons burst mid-air in front of them thanks to Kyra Perl Kyra Perl 's sneak-thief efforts. She quickly turned tail and made a run for it before he could get another word in; thus forced to resign himself to shake his head with a wary grin, he glanced aside to those around him and simply rolled his eyes trying not to laugh and encourage the antics.

Grife, when did he get so old as to be the party pooper around here, the voice of sensibility?

Nearby Acaadi Acaadi wasn't so happy to let things slide as Kyra's Master seemed to be. Much to Caedyn's amusement the young lad lobbed a water balloon back across the clearing while Kyra was in flight, landing directly on target and causing the Jedi Knight to loose a snicker under his breath. "Good arm" he complimented the Padawan, giving him an approving nod.

Among all the commotion happening about him, half of it in response to his Padawan's games, Caedyn found himself looking upon Atasihd Zi, a Togruta whom seemed somewhat familiar though the two had not recently bumped into one another from what Caedyn could recall. Was it a fault of his memory, hopefully not. That'd be embarrassing...

"Oh there's nothing normal about that one" Caedyn answered with a smirk, moving to collect the Padawan a dish and serving him up a couple of nerf burgers with all the helpings you'd expect on a well home-made fry-up. "Here you are!" He handed the plate over to Atasihd with a full grin, rather pleased for how it was all going even with the damp front of his attire due to the recent orbital bombardment of water bombs.

There was the briefest of moments, right as it popped, where Amani had time to acknowledge the situation. A moment to consider what went wrong. Why was this happening? How did we get to this point? What did we do to deserve this? All five stages of grief hit her in rapid succession as the balloon exploded, seemingly in slow motion. It was too late. She closed her eyes and accepted her fate. Kyra Perl Kyra Perl had used her own plan against her.

Amani sat in total, defeated silence as she and Jamie Lysle Jamie Lysle were drenched in lake water, the stillness accompanied only by the dripping and spattering of it off their clothes and hair. Finally she fluttered her eyes open and gave a long, heavy sigh, already a smile beginning to curl at the corner of her lip. She looked over at Jamie, eyes growing wide as the two of them simultaneously realized the greatest casualty of this war: Jamie’s dress.

Amani did her best to try and hide the smile, but something about the combination of Jamie’s reaction, Kyra’s cackling off in the distance, and the overall comedy she found in the whole situation caused her to burst out in a fit of obnoxious, snorting laughter. Her face blushed hard as she doubled over, trying her best to cover her mouth and stop from laughing, catching her breath in waves as she tried to speak, “Oh nooooooo... I’m so sorryyyyyy....” Despite the humor she found in the situation, she couldn’t help but feel a little guilty since she was the one stupid enough to hold the balloon right in front of them. Amani sniffled and threw sopping strands of hair out of her face before slowly standing up, intermittent giggles still working out of her system. “Hoooookay... Uh, want me to find something to help... dry off?” She motioned at the dress. Hopefully the attempt at a kind gesture would at least help atone marginally for the crime against fashion that had just been committed.

Kiran couldn't remember the last time he had so much fun. Despite slightly giving Caedyn Arenais more anxiety than anything, with all of their antics. He still couldn't help but laugh at the situation and even then they joined in on the fun. Just then he heard Kyra's name out loud and given the events that had transpired. Kiran gave out a small nervous chuckle even though he had absolutely nothing to do with the situation, started to slowly walk off in the direction of the lake.

"Not to worry, Kyra will be back up sometime." Kiran said amongst a small giggle as he said back to Jamie Lysle Jamie Lysle

The padawan followed in suit as he slid down along the muddy bank towards the lake.

Kiran walk past both Kyra and Ura and shrugged his shoulders. "There's quite a ruckus up there." Exaggeration complete in the voice of the padawan as he walked closer towards the lake with a smile on his face. This was a good day.

Turning around to see more of the commotion caused by Perl has made Jasper fortune in his mind. Fortunate that he left his seat while the commotion that was started by the young woman temporarily disappeared. Fortunate that he went to grab himself a plate of food and ate it at the right time. And fortunate that he decided to move away from the craziness that was far away from him. Watching the mirialan ( Amani Serys Amani Serys ) and human ( Jamie Lysle Jamie Lysle ) getting wrench in water only reaffirmed Jasper's belief in him being fortunate and make him curious as to why they don’t just fight back toward the troublemaker.

Jasper looked back over to Kyra Perl on the ground and after a few seconds of examining the area around her, he realized why. A small grin came upon his face at first, hoping that the chaos she was causing would stop but that grin would be done as fast as Krya laughing came about.

“Of course.” He whispered to himself once the realization came to him that the chaos would surely continue much to his dismay and worry

He might still have gaps in his understanding of the Jedi Path, but he got what Arenais was saying, which elicited a two-note, low tone laugh, even if he didn't know which one the master spoke of. You didn't spend eight years in and out of the underbelly of the galaxy, becoming a fixture in the grimiest locales, and come out without a keen grasp of humour. Sid returned the grin, sharp canines and all, received the plate from Caedyn Arenais, grunting "Thanks," and wasted no time proceeding to stuff his face... while keeping an eye out for any trouble.

That was another thing life in the hotbeds of crime did: instilled a healthy, sometimes situational paranoia. He ate faster, out of concern for the potential future of wet food, but not too much concern. He ate raw and as fresh as possible as often as he could get, hunting being the way of it, but integrating into a new pack had so many facets and sharing food was one of them. It was always a key component; so many cultures gathered around food, and he liked that.

"Good burgers," he said, licking his clawed fingers, but keeping an eye on the scene - watching Kyra Perl Kyra Perl and all at play, he wouldn't have been able to tell just how much each of them might have been through, but he had already been armoured and packing heat by the same age. For the most part, you couldn't read a book by its cover, but peel that back and the scars told tales, "they would do well in grav-ball."

A little off the wall, not even a suggestion. Just commentary on their sheer energy, and the athleticism of some of them, as Force sensitivity was considered an unfair advantage in virtually every league. He recalled a female high-school league player, who was an up-and-coming young star a number of years ago, until she was found out to be endowed with the Force... the final straw on top of her overly aggressive play style that had her ejected from the Corellian all-star team, and stripped of scholarships. It had been all over the HoloNet Sports news, a blow for any university that might've had her. He had watched a lot of grav-ball in the downtime between bounties. Drinking himself to sleep wasn't his style.

"Them," he clarified, gesturing out to the other padawans. "There..." Sid looked back towards the Knight, "...isn't an inter-Order sports league, is there?"

Well, it made sense to him for there to be one. Did Jedi play sports? Why not? Good teamwork, good workout!

Kyra's ears were ringing, and not cause so many were saying her name.

Acaadi's revenge water balloon lobed her right over her head. No time was left to react as she paused from her attempt to pull herself back off the floor. The impact was jarring, a bit of balloon flying into her mouth as she was knocked right back down.

And soaked.

"...Ow," she complained, grunting as she pulled the balloon bit out of her mouth. The sense of justice would no doubt please many. Kyra turned, sticking her tongue out at Acaadi before scrambling up and away again. "Ugh! We are so freezing his boxers next time he leaves them to be laundered! What a cheat-- boys are stupid, Ura. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise." She fell to her knees at the water's edge, absolutely caked in mud.

A bit of sadness drew her attention back towards the food pit and she looked backwards, confused of its source. ...Who would be sad at a cookout??

She turned back, this conundrum furrowed in her brows. "...Hey Ura, can sand swim? Or does that just make you more muddy?" She kicked off her shoes, already wading in to scrub off.

Ura Iolar Ura Iolar

Ura looked over at her friend, a bit surprised at what she said. All boy are stupid? For some reason that didn't sound right, though it did sound kind of fun to prank Acaadi. The Lervon shifted around a little, noticing Kyra was sad before walking over from where she slid. "Kyra? Are you ok?" Ura could see and feel the sadness that her had, so she was just a little worried. She thought they were supposed to be having fun. Then Kyra asked if the sand-like being knew how to swim. She chuckled a little with the added comment on her getting muddy, and nodded a little as her worry started to melt away a little.

"Yeah. I lived near a coastal area on Yurb, and swim with Ger'Off some." Ura would jump in pretty quickly, shifting a little to become a bit more loosely held together. It made floating a bit more easy for her to not be just a block of sand. She would pop her head out, her eyes and the Force showing how much she was enjoying it.
