Good Ol' Scoundrel
SILVER JEDI ORDER FRINGES, MID RIM
EF50 ASSAULT FRIGATE BALLISTA
Captain Heiern Kalyfrax braved the 'safe' confines of the Outer Rim to set up a high risk high reward attack on a Silver Jedi transport. Rumors had it the transport carried something of great value, others called it a bluff. For Rohak? The truth hid in between.
The dar'manda's hand ran over the turbolift's frame inspecting the wear of the ship. The Ballista had been through a lot, most across the lower quadrant of the Outer Rim knew that. It had been Kalyfrax's longest serving ship. Its service age matched Rohak's own.
"Old, innit?" Kalen grinned. The old grit of a pirate seemed to follow the Mandalorian everywhere by chance. Kalyfrax had recruited a dozen of fresh bloods on Terminus and a couple of temps like Kalen and Rohak. Kalyfrax's bold ambition to hit the Mid Rim pushed away quite a lot of potential crew members leaving only the most reckless or avaricious, or both.
The doors of the turbolift slid open revealing the bridge of the frigate. Unlike the rest of the ship, the bridge, at a first glance, seemed quite well kept. The Muun captain greeted the two with an ocean wide grin. "Boarders are at the ready, I hear."
"Aye, cap'n." Kalen replied with a brief grin of his own.
"Good, good." He glanced at his holowatch before licking his lips at the viewport. "Any minute now..."
An alarm rang signalling the reversion of an unidentified vessel and Kalyfrax's grin grew wider.
"Scan check, is it our, boys?" A moment later a confirmation came.
"Cap'n, interdiction mines are online."
"Full thrust ahead! Our delicious prize awaits!" The Muun snapped his arms wide open. "Time for you two to get going then." Kalen replied with a nod but the armored dar'manda was already heading back to the lift. "Guil, open a line and offer them to surrender."
While Kalyfrax had a reputation of bloodied adventures, he always kept his wits about him and if he could get this the easy way? The better.
