Decades ago, when Darth Metus was a first exploring the potential of Sith Alchemy, an experiment was undertaken. In those days, Mandalorian Iron was difficult to come by - especially outside of Mandalorian space. Thus, with little option left, he resorted to utilizing leftover pieces from the construction of his own beskar'gam. Scraps that would have fallen by the wayside were it not for his creative ambitions. One such ambition was answering the question of Survival in the harshest conditions.
As Darth Metus thundered his hammer, his thoughts were of the first time he had been marooned on Tatooine. Far beyond the range of comms. Miles upon miles away from the nearest settlement. It was pure fortune that he was able to find an oasis and survive the desert. But, luck would not always be on his side. Thus, Siaure ir Pietin were forged: Daggers that could point the way to the object of one's desire. Their properties were rather novel in nature: utter the desire, and the Daggers would point.
In the desert, uttering water would guide a stranded soul to the nearest oasis.
In the tundra, uttering shelter would guide a frozen soul to the nearest refuge.
In more nefarious hands? Uttering a name would guide an assailant to their target. Of course, there were limits in what the pointing of a Dagger could accomplish. If one was on Coruscant, and the desire on Csilla, the Daggers will simply point in that direction. They provide no scale of distance. No scale of what is lying in wait at the end of the direction. While the object of one's desire will indeed be at the end of the blade - there was no telling what other dangers could be accompanying them.
Over time, these daggers were lost to Darth Metus. They traveled the stars within the packs of traders and the caches of spacers - until stumbling upon You.

- Point the Way: When laid upon the palm, the bearer can utter the object of their desire. Doing so will cause either Siaure or Pietin to point in the direction of said object. If no object is specified, the daggers will point True North.
. - Peerless Grip: Wrapped in Kiin'dray Leather, the bearer's adversaries will find it quite difficult to loosen their grip upon the weapon.
. - Durable Construction: Alchemical treatment has resulted in blades that are resilient against extreme temperatures - such as Lightsabers or Blaster Bolts.
- Suppression: Ysalamiri Fields can render the properties of the daggers completely inert. Void Stone, and other like materials, can severely dampen their properties.
. - Cutting Edge: While supernaturally durable, the daggers are not sharp enough to puncture conventional combat armor. Due to this, their usage is far more survivalist in nature.
. - Obscured View: Should the object of one's desires take measures to protect themselves, such as Taozin Amulets, the daggers will be unable to point in their direction.
