HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The fabled mountain range of Kansai... the Shinoyoshi mountains are interesting in that there is a thousand lakes that are supposed to be a goddesses tears. The richness of the mountains, from the lush trees to the crystal clear lakes. The tales of the mountains giving way in many cases to older more abandoned buildings left in the mountain passes or voices under the mountains. The Keisei with their immense wealth buying sections of the land for development and making mines that at times servants oversaw and then mining droids and then independant operators who kicked up to them a portion of their finds for supplies. Not in a strong arm but it was much easier to get supplies sent to them from the nearby farms they ran around the mountains then importing them.

The rest of the mountains mainly served as small communities of familiess. from houses that could hold a couple dozen or so with three or four buildings it wasn't much in the way of villages but there were an abundance of mines scattered around the mountains. Those seeking their fortune would put down roots, those from offworld colonies and who were skilled craftsmen would come to make any umber of things. The Emperor welcomed them to tame the large mountain range and over the centuries they have done much of that with the Hanamachi being a secured location within the mountains that people traveled to and would attract people from all over Atrisia. When the wars broke out and unrest came the people on the mountains could largely isolate themselves and sustain on the farms that the Keisei used to feed the people.
