+Vong Knowledge: Rin was able to commune with Vong tech, constructs, and creatures. Her familiarity with the Vong has also given her Vongsense, the ability to sense others of her species that did not hail from the Extolled lines and thus were still cut off from the Force.
+Extolled: Hailing from the old Extolled Castes of the Vong's ancient past, she was born to Redeemed Vong and was able to touch the Force, a rare ability even among descendants of the Extolled
+Excellent Navigator: For as long as she can remember she's had an innate ability to perform difficult mathematical equations. Friends have joked that she can calculate as fast as a Givin which has made her a great navigator.
-Bleeding: Due to her background and her connection to the songs of Kyber crystals, being near bled Kyber crystals can disrupt her focus and can even be debilitating in some instances.
-Ar'krai: A state of a genocidal war declared by the Bothans centuries ago, Rin has never been safe in the spaceports of the Galaxy. Bothan and bounty hunters working for the Bothan race have constantly been after her. The recent wars with the One Sith in which the Vong were key warriors have also made it difficult for her to connect with most sentiments outside of the Jedi Order
-Naive: With natural lifespans 2 and 3 times that of a human lifespan, her age of does not reflect her actual development. She still very much has the aloofness and naivete of a young adult.
- Shumrra Rin was born to the Shaper Clans on Illum. Long since dedicated to the Jedi Order, the Shaper and Warrior Clans of Ilum aided the Jedi in defending the crystal caves and guiding younglings to their fated Kyber crystals. Born to the Shaper Clan Rin, Shimrra became well versed in the ways the Kyber expressed themselves in the Force and understood their song as only a Vong Shaper could. When it became clear that she harbored the rare ability to touch the Force she was sent to the Jedi outpost on Ilum and made to live as a Jedi Learner. Eventually, she was sent to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant where she continued her training. For many years she was passed up as a potential Padawan due to her Vong lineage and her mediocre ability in the Force. After Coruscant's temple was broken by the Sith Empire she fled back to Ilum and returned to her family, turning her studies away from the Force and to the ways of the Shaper Clans. When she felt a call in the Force though, a sense of duty came over her and she made her way to the mysterious Zeffo construct that various Jedi from all walks of life began congregating at. Still just a learner in the ways of the Force with much to learn and re-learn due to her years of sabbatical, she was assigned as a padawan to one of the new Jedi Order's Knights as their padawan. The rest is history.
