Shifting Sands

"Tython is beautiful and powerful, enigmatic and dangerous, filled with mysteries and open to those comfortable with the Force. It was here long, long before us, and these mysteries persisted with no eyes to see them, no minds to contemplate them. And that is why I fear Tython. It means everything to us, and yet we are nothing to it. We are merely passing through."

Today is different, today she is alone. And that is the way it has to be.

The dawn broke and filled the camp site with it warm heat, the light of it glistening across the surface of the snow that lay outside the entrance of the cave. The fire had gone out through the night and she is cold. She is cold because he is gone. But there is no emptiness in this, her heart and mind full, the force bond link, weaving across the expanse of distance to him. He would always be with her.

Iella had prepared the night before, had acquired a ground speeder from the ship and had it ready outside the cave. A small back pack, filled with items and equipment for the journey to the Silent Desert on Tython. She had gathered some more clothes from the ship, mainly her cream cloak to shield her from the heat of the desert. A bladder of water, the most essential thing, lay at the bottom of the back pack. Her destination, the Temple, Qigong Kesh. If it was still there, or maybe the ruins, either way if nothing was to come of this training, then that would be something to see. It is the perfect place really, for what she wished to achieve, or find out more to the point. A place once used by the force sensitive beings to train in mental enhancement and endurance, a sensory skill of the force users.

One last thing she checked, her hand going to her belt and found her lightsaber. She knew it would be there, it is just habit. But her saber the most important part of this puzzle. And so, she swung the pack over her shoulder and set off.

The mountain range sat over her shoulder now, far in the distance. The speeder careered over the plains kicking up dust and dried grass in it’s wake. The change in the landscape, excited her sensors as the plains reminded her of Cathar, although there is no tall grasses here. A small laugh escaped her now with the remembrance. Those days spent there, with him, treasures beyond value. Up ahead, she could just make out the shimmering desert sands, and she pushed the speeder forward, faster, her cream cloak billowing behind her.

The heat intensified, as the sun’s rays reflected back of the sand onto her face. She could feel the pools of sweat forming on her body making her shirt cling to her, but this is little discomfort and she pushed it out of her mind. The speeder had brought her to the desert, little to be seen for miles except for a shimmering object small on the horizon. She knew what it was, the Temple. Iella wondered what she would find there, was the temple still in use or in ruin? But no matter, she will not be stopping there.

Then she felt it, stronger here, the Force. Tython, the planet of beautiful, the force at it’s very core and essence. Filling all on it, all matter and anyone that visits will not escape the pull. The Silent Desert an intrigue and it had just fulfilled it’s renown. The engines on her speeder now silent as she raced across the sands. The Force, like a glove wrapped around her body, pressing onto her, holding her gently. Had her heart stopped beating? Or no longer breathing? No, she could not hear it her body, no sound entered her ears or her mind. She reached for the Force, with her mind and the wash of calm filled her, it is euphoric.

Her head turn to the right as she past the Temple, only to look upon it from a distance. Standing tall the towers and the colour of the sand, the heat haze gave the impression of the Temple in constant motion within the landscape. Or maybe it was. A living thing? As all thing are. Her head turn back .. soon she would find a place away from every thing as to not cause harm.

Iella walked for a short distance away from the speeder and dropped her bag on the sand. Reaching down she took the bladder of water out and took her fill, as she replaced the cap she looked around at the seeming nothingness. She smiled, the peacefulness and calm of mind almost madding to her, she likes noise and the hustle and bustle of life. The water bladder back in the bag, she walked a few paces more. The sand swallowing her boots as she trod. This is as good a place as any.

The shifting sands of the desert rippled as a wind picked up. The only sign of it is the movement of her hair and her cloak, she could hear nothing. This place is eerie, life proceeding around her voiceless yet filled with energy, loud in its existence. She pushed these thoughts from her mind and sat down on the sand. Immediately she felt the warmth come up through her body, hot and dry. But she paid little attention to it. As much as she hated meditation it is time to do so and to quieten her mind. She did not take the lotus position, that is simply too uncomfortable for her, so she laid down and covered her face with her cloak cowl for protection.

With the silence of the desert, her mind seem loud and full of thoughts that she had little time for until now. They all come to the front of her mind, in no set pattern demanding to be heard and resolved. Oh so much to do, her training and purpose, the need to grow stronger to be able to achieve all things she wished to do. All of them impatient to be addressed, well, she impatient to be formidable. Iella took a deep breath and tried to relax. Time would be there for her, he would be there for her.

She smiled. Thinking of him now. Her tower of strength and will, she looks to him to find the ability to be all she can, he is a warrior true and never apologises for it, even though others may not quite understand. He is true to himself as she needs to be to herself. They are so alike in many ways but their opposing elements compliment the other. But the strength of them is in the power of the two. Not the force power, although mighty, but their self-beliefs, in each other and as a unified powerhouse. Their belief in their love, the trust in it .. Will never wield.

For the moment she just laid there playing with the image of him in her mind’s eye. She allowed herself this moment before she would refocus.

She listened and let the silence fill her now, slowly it ebbed away the noise in her mind, the thoughts she pushed back to the deeper recesses. She is in peace.

There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is the Force.

From a far away place, these words sung in her mind, over and over. They called to her .. remember .. always remember. These words are the words Iella lives by as a Jedi. The current code noble enough, but for her, they are a directive not a Way. The Jedi Way in most cases has been forgotten. The old code the means by which to achieve the new one. Study and understand the old in order to understand the present. The old code has been described as archaic, a lack of understanding by beings that do not seek to know the answers, dismissing them. But they are missing the point. It is journey that is the means to the end, a journey never to be completed. A Jedi true will know this, they know the hidden meaning behind the beautiful words.

And now she needed them all. And it is time, to come out from behind ignorance and seek knowledge.

She opened her eyes under her cowl and brushed it back from her face. The wind a little stronger now and the only indication of this is the small grains of sand biting at her skin on her face. The sun reflecting of the surface of the sand making her close her eyes slightly to shield them from the blaze, it is hotter now. Iella stood and prepared as she took off her cloak.

Standing motionless, she centred. Her concentration single focused on the energy dwelling within her. That powerful place in her middle she has come to know exists. Although she is strong in the Force and has been aware of her sensitivity from a young age, she did not experience that raw power until that day in the caves on Illum. The brilliant white light that filled the chasm, radiantly bursting out of her in all directions and releasing her energy, she remembers feeling fatigue after it. The potential had always been there, but not until she constructed her lightsaber did it emerge. An extraordinary day it was indeed. Her Master taking her there to find her crystal, which she did, a beautiful blue crystal she sensed resonating in the small stream of water that issued from the very rock of the cave, it had pooled and within the cold water was her pale blue crystal, calling her.

Many things happened in that cave, all of which are important moments to her, a memory that will last with her until she dies.

Iella pushed the force to her lower abdomen, she could feel the concentration of power there, but not the feeling of that raw energy. However, she continued searching for it, but nothing. She puzzled at this, normally it is almost always bubbling just below the surface and waiting to be summon. It is gone?

No she would believe that. She took a deeper breath and focused again, and again nothing. On the third time .. the same result and she stopped. She realised a frustrated breath as her mind thought about why this constant presence had seemingly vanished. She walked over to the speeder and took the water bladder from the back pack. Iella unscrewed the cap and took a mouth full of the cool liquid, the water quenching her parched lips. She replace the bladder, and stretched her shoulders and neck. Her eyes finding the landscape again, nothing but sand or miles .. she turned and looked around it all, the Temple just a blur on the horizon now. She leaned against the speeder and contemplated what the history of that Temple might have been. She let her mind wonder for a moment, just so to rest it. Her hero, her Jedi Hero, Master Obi-wan Kenobi, a man she admires for his noble deeds, his adherence to the code and his mistakes, as all being make. She wondered if he had visited this place and found quite of mind, but this is something she will never really know. She smiled now thinking of her present Jedi hero, Master Syn, her Syn. One day she hoped to bring him here, he may have visited this place before her, but she would like to see his reaction to it. And witness what he might feel here.

But for now, it is time to try again. Walking back to her spot, she closed her eyes, this always helped her focus quicker and deeper, removing all distractions from her mind. She concentrated on the blackness behind her eyes. Within this blackness she reached out to the energy, using the force to pull it toward her, she could feel it there, the Force, building within her, more stronger and more connected, then before. Her entire body felt more alive and the power filling her legs and arms, she started to breath with laboured breathe and the energy pulse quickened. Her brow knitted however, she kept her eyes closed, and pushed again. Still the same, still that essence had alluded her.

Iella sat down on the hot sand crossed legged and rested her elbow on her knee cupping her face in her hand. She is a complete loss as to why she cannot feel that raw energy she knows exists inside her. Her eyes absently looked around the landscape, there was no answer to be found out there anyway. It is within. She took a few breaths of frustration and disappointment and she started to become angry with herself. What is she doing wrong? Or is it this place? Is there something within this desert that not only removes sound, but the force too? No, that made no sense at all.

She began to think of the times she did feel it, in the cave on Illum, in the battle field of Metalorn, when ever she was in the thick of a situation, one that evoked emotion. It was always when she is in the height of emotion. She looked up straight ahead, the realisation hitting her. She is simply too calm. Oh for the love of Corellia, she thought and she laughed, a laugh no one would hear including her.

But she had to use caution on this. There is no emotion, there is peace.

So many theories have come from this one line. But a line of words that has provided much food for thought and debate. Most of which is completely misunderstood and/or misinformed, in her view. But there is no right or wrong answer in this, when one contemplates these words. Most have the view that it means to remove emotion entirely. All emotion, but that is not possible. If one was void of emotion then one is dead. Simple as that. No, one cannot exist without emotion. Beside peace is an emotion. It is a state of being that give one calm, guidance and release. To be at peace, is a way of being.

It is the calm, guidance and release that she believes this line to mean. To be able to assess a situation, without emotion clouding ones judgement. But it does not mean emotion is completely removed.

To be able to see more than one solution to a problem, without the interference of emotion or rather that emotion guides the decision. No, emotion, is used in all situations to be able form conclusions, then act accordingly, within the Jedi Way. Peace, coupled with patience, allows for a solution to present itself.

Iella paced around the sand. She needed to focus on her emotions that drew the presence of the energy to her centre. Rather than the emotions of the battle field, or the adrenalin of fighting, she would summon her purpose. This purpose is a stronger vehicle for what she hoped to achieve. She set her mind in the past, the day she found the Moon Stone. She is not about to use the stone, oh it would help her, give her strength to achieve this exercise, but no, she wanted to do this without aid from anything or anyone. But indirectly the Moon Stone will aid her. As she continued to walk around, she closed her eyes and brought back the memory.

Entering the Star Temple, walking across the small brittle bones that littered the floor of the old ruins. Bones of creature long dead and white with age. Then into the antechamber, the room in which the ellipsis was housed, no broken, cracked never to be used again. She recalled the night clearly, the white mists searching in the valley streaming in from the high ridges above. The eerie atmosphere of Dathomir on that night. The moons full and high in the night sky, watching and guiding her toward her destiny.

Iella could see the white piercing of the moons’ rays as they burst out from behind the cloud filled night. The rays like thin columns of pure white pitted the room in which she stood and hit upon the Moons Stones laying in the dust. One had caught her attention, not the biggest by any means but for it shone the brightest that night. She now recalls moving to it as it called her. She could see her hand reaching down to take it. It was like she was watching someone else. As her hand wrapped around the Stone, and touched her skin, the Ancients awoke. They told her of her purpose, that she would destine for greater things and that they were there for her, when needed and all she had to do was summon them.

The images that they showed her, of destructions and death, pain and blood, the blood she saw corrupting the soil and turning black. The lives of thousands in pain under the tyranny of evil. They needed someone to aid them, but she knew she could not do this alone.

This images Iella summon to her mind. She breathing laboured now as they began to resurface over in her mind’s eye. The knotted energy began to surface deep within her, forming like a ball or a fist tight and hard. It was almost painful to her, only because it wanted to be released. This is it, this the feeling she had in the cave on Illum. But like then she is afraid to let it go, to let free.

It is becoming too much and she stopped. And she put her face in her hands to find solace. However the energy, the force twisting in her stomach … remained.

Iella took in several deep breathes to calm. Her hands shaking she reached for the water and took sips to refresh. Slowly she settle again and summon her courage. You can do this, she spoke to herself.

She focused again with the force, much easier this time as the energy was still pitted in her middle. She did not evoke the images this time, but the memory of them, and her purpose within the galaxy and as a Jedi. A strong sense of will overcame her now and this felt much better, more controlled of her mind. She pushed the fear of this away and replaced it with courage.

Iella let the energy build into that tight knot, almost as if it was folding in on itself over again. The pressure of it mounting, and a strange pain ached deep within her stomach. She bent over slightly with the pain and let out a voiceless cry. But she did not allow this to stop her. Pushing through the barrier of pain, she keep building the energy, her arms wrapping around her middle and holding tight.

The roar started gently and softly, like the rumbles beneath the ground at the beginnings of an earthquake, churning and building to a crescendo. She could feel the vibration of it start to filter through her body upwardly, she could hear it! She could hear it in her mind and it filled her with power. As it moved upward, the mist in her mouth that she had previously experienced developed again. Parting her lips and letting her jaw drop, the mist swirled out and in front of her face. Like that on a cold day, vapours issuing as the warm breath meets to chill.

The power of it felt good, she felt in run through her blood and into her bones, strengthening them, solid and hard. Her breathing became long and pointed matching the rising power within her middle. It is time to release, the pressure no long sustainable within her.

She let go of herself, gave into it, and she lifted her head up turning her face to the sky. Her arms with to the side slightly out away from her body. Her palms turned and from them she felt a warmth pulsing. The force power there waiting to be use. At that moment, Iella knew that if she wished she could use this energy in a shock wave force push. One of immense power.

But that was not the purpose here today. She needed to see what would happen if let to just simply erupt from her.

The pressure of it now can no longer be held. And she let it explode.

From her came the roar of the White Dragon …

The force wave burst from her, from every part of her body in an encompassing direction. The white blazing light radiated from a ball around her entirely, if anyone was close by, they would not be able to see she, all they would see is a large ball of white sparkling in the daylight. Iella opened her eyes and watch as the invisible wave moved across the surface of the sand. One noise just the movement of sand. And as it went the air shifted like a mirage as it travelled.

The sand of the Silent Desert gathered up within the wave and formed a wall. She turned her head in all directions and saw the same sight. Her eyes not quite believing what she was seeing. On and on it went, she did not know the distance of it, but eventually it started to subside and the sand gently fell.

Iella fell to her knees and breathed hard.

Her eyes lifted again to take in her surroundings, the sand had gone and the sky clear again. Slowly she stood up and turned to go to her speeder to take some water. It was no longer there. Her shoulders slumped as she realised what had happened. The shock wave took more than the sand. She now stood in the desert with only what she was wearing. No speeder and more importantly .. no water.

Iella is very tried, the exertions taking a lot of energy from her and now she found herself in a bad situation. Turning again she looked toward the horizon, toward the west and back to the cave where she would find Syn. But she did not see the cave of course, only the shimmering sands. The prospect of walking was not a good one, she knew she would not make it before exhaustion and thirst took her. The force would help, but she has no training in using the force to sustain herself. Oh this only served to remind her just how lacking she is.

She had also lost her only protection from the sun’s rays, her cloak, gone in destruction of the wave. Well she could not just stand there, she had to form a plan. But before she had a chance to meditated on it, she felt the low rumbling again. Unable to hear it, she could however, feel the vibration building up under foot.

Her brow knitted, this time this is not a direct cause of her. Her eyes darted around the sand, trying to figure out what was happening. The vibrations building and the sand started to become unstable.

Before she could move, the sand went from under her and she started to fall.

A scream issued from her mouth at the shock of it. The shock wave had caused the underground cavern ceiling to become unstable, the weight of the sands too much for it to sustain any longer and it caved, taking Iella with it.

Instinct kicked in, that overwhelming sense of survival, and Iella summon the force to slow her fall. She wrapped it around her body like a sleeve and imagined a hand holding her and lifting her back up, only to place her gently down. She tried to turn so her feet would come down first, but this she was unable to do. She seemed to be falling forever and then she landed hard.

The force had stopped her from injury, and she was lucky enough to land away from some of the large rock that had collapsed. But the fall winded her and the air shot from her lungs with pain. Some of the sand streamed down from the desert in cascades around her quickly filling up the area and she was in danger of suffocation. She turned over and on all fours she crawled away from the falling sands. The fine dust filling her lungs and she coughed hard, breathing became hard and laboured, but little by little she crawled until she reached the wall of the cavern and out of danger.

She rested her back and head against the cavern wall and closed her eyes, concentrating of returning her breathing to normality.

Her eyes opened to the sight of the opening in the ceiling of the cavern and beyond to the sky. The sand had finally stopped pouring in and the dust had settled somewhat. By the colour of the sky, now darker in blue, the evening was fast approaching and the night would become cold. At least here in the cavern she would have some form of protection against that. But little else. Now she had no water and Iella is very thirsty. She has trained with Syn to use the force to keep her warm, but not to sustain her without water or food. She knew she could survive without food for a long period but not water.

She stood up now and walked directly below the large hole and looked up. She had fallen a vast distance it seemed and the only way out at this point was to try and Jedi Jump. For once she hoped her ability or lack of it, to reach the height would be achieved, as normally she always over compensates and jumps well beyond what is needed. It was worth a try. She summon the force, pushing it to her legs giving much strength as she bent her knees. The force lifted her upwardly, fast and straight, but not enough as she landed back to the sand. She knew she could not do it, it was simply too high. Climbing is out to as there is no wall to attach to as the hole opened into a vast cavern.

Well she was not just going to sit there waiting for help to arrive, she turned her head in all directions nothing noticeable from what she could see to indicate a way out. There was however, a small break in the rock face to the right of the cavern, she walked to it. As she approached, she could see that the break is wide enough for her to fit through, a fracture in the rock formation leading back to who knows where. But this was her only option. She squeezed through the break and worked her way along the narrow corridor. In part she had to climb up ward to fit through a more accommodating gap, but the majority of the corridor was passable on foot on the sandy floor. On and on this corridor went, Iella had no idea how far she had walked, but fatigue and thirst began to affect her now. All she wanted to do was sleep, but she knew that to do so would be fatal, she had to remain alert and awake, for as long as possible.

Now she used the gift, the ability to sense her surroundings, pushing out with the force, millions of life forms spoke back to her. Small and unthreatening microorganisms, small creatures that dwelled in the cavern evolved through thousands of years of living in darkness. Iella searched with the force ahead of her, the vast expanse of a cavern chamber appeared in her mind’s eye, the space of it overwhelming. But she saw no detail. At least not yet. Then she heard it, the sound of water trickling and echoing around the corridor, loud. Wait, I can hear it?, she wondered as this. The Silent Desert revealed one of it’s secrets to her, below the desert the sounds did not vanish. The volume of it beyond normal, maybe because she had not heard sound for some time and her hearing had become acute to it now, or it is because of the chamber. She hurried ahead now, water that is all she could think about now. Finally, her made it and pushed her body through the last of the corridor and stood there. No light filtered through to her, she stood in total darkness.

She reached for her saber and ignited it, the white light bursting into the room. The sight that fell on her eyes made them widen in wonder, her breath escaped her and she held it. Her mind unable to take in the beauty of this natural wonder. But she stood drinking it all in.

Syn

Nimir-ra to Iella, Jedi Shadow
Syn was with Arya on his own movements, on his own path across the world as he felt it. Down the invisible cord while he breathed in deeply the scent of the mountains. They were in the forest moving while his eyes turned to the woman who spoke. "What is it? Is something coming?" He gave a simply nod adjusting his pack enough. "Iella, something has happened to her and we must go, she is on the planet." He could feel her, sense her in their bond and that let his force senses narrow while the woman moved to him, joined him for a moment hopping on his back. Her light weight and frame wrapped around him only as he took off. The force encompassing him to make him faster, the force pushing into his legs to keep the muscles able. The force going through his lungs to sustain him as he ran.

The weight of Arya on his back didn't bother him, he could carry her and what small amount of weight he carried for their supplies. The run didn't stop until he finally reached the edge of the desert, he felt the sand but just because he was at the desert didn't mean much it meant he now had to make it deep into it to find her. He would have to search or as his senses went out he searched. The lives of creatures were there but finding the one human in the desert came to him, the bond confirmed it and he sent down along it his warmth and energy for her. Whatever had happened, whatever had been happening he wanted her to be healed. To be safe and he moved into the sands with Arya moving beside him while they began to search.

Her feet slowly moved forward, her eyes scanning the entire room of the cavern, there is so much to see Iella did not know where to look from one point to the next. The walls of the cavern sparkled with miniature fleck of crystals and other mineral deposits, twinkling like a million stars. Tall columns of stalagmites reaching up to roof only to be mated with the stalactites stretching down. Creams and blues and purples filled danced within the walls as the saber light past across their surfaces. Around their bases, white formation of soft waves where the minerals lay trapped. The sound of dripping water each droplet carrying a small piece of dust to continue the march of the construction of this beautiful place. Intricate designs of thin workings made the some of the columns look like giant cakes, with many layers. The air is moist and settling on Iella’s skin, soothing her with its touch soft and pure. Her skin absorbing it in, and the dust of cave in washing away.

As she continue to walk, she found her feet on a path, walking among strange vegetation growing here in the cave, this was wonder unto itself that such things could survive, these plants defying odds and adapting to a new environment, well, maybe not so new after all. She did not know long they had been here. This galaxy full of wonders and now… even more.

She notice the path again, and with wide eyes her realised it is sentient made. Deeper and deeper into the cavern she went. Now not worry about her thirst or her situation, curiosity is now driving her. The path leading her over and around the cavern and each step a new vision to behold within this place. Then, it ends. She looks around almost frantic that there is not more to see, she wants more of this place and finally see what appears to be a doorway. Small and carved into the rock face, large stone placed around the door frame. There is no art work or script but the simplicity elegant and ingenious. It is almost as if it is fashioned by the Force.

Through the door Iella walks, before her a large body of water. Her eyes at this moment can only see that feature here in this wondrous place.

She walked toward it and came to the water’s edge, she knelt down and cupped some water in her hands. Extremely thirsty she still took care as best she could before taking some. She smelt the water as best she could and it seemed fine, she placed her lips gently in the liquid and licked her lips, again all was well. But still she would only take a few mouthfuls just in case. She sat down now and just took in her surroundings. So far many wonders she had discovered and she so wished Syn was here with her now. To experience this place with her love would make it all the better. She is missing him very much now and the only thing she hoped for was to feel his arms around her.

She did not know if this would work, as their distance apart great now, but the force is just as wondrous as this place and she would at least try. She opened up the force around her and sent a message to him along their bond link. All her feelings of longing for him flowed through it. She sat like this for some time, just allowing herself this indulgence. Then she turned her head toward the water and now .. she could see it. The most amazing construction .. a long wide stair case, climbing up to the darkness of the caverns chamber.

Hundreds of years. Is it so long? Yes, it is. Arrol looked down on the being sitting in cave by the waters edge.

A girl, alone here? So many questions formed in his mind. How did she get here? He could sense her, strong she is, but raw and wild. Oh he did not wish company, no not at all, he would be quiet happy to remain in isolation within the force. But she is in need it appears. Hmmm maybe I will just.... walk away? I don't have to do anything, not any more.

His head turned as if to look through the very walls of cavern to the west. Ah! someone comes, she will be fine. He will not appear, no, but he will keep watch.

Syn and Arya moved through the desert on the surface, the pair searching while his senses and that bond told him where to look... but how to get there. She was below, deep below the desert almost as if she had been swallowed up but that couldn't have been what happened. He could feel her and she was stronger now her time in the desert showing but she was also sending to him feelings. Emotions and everything down that bond that he opened to fully while suddenly he found he was walking. He was moving and Arya found him in a cave as she spoke. "Whatever your following, keep it up and we shall help your love." With a look at him the fallanassi stood focusing as the brush of her power brought a permanent illusion up sealing the entrance. Or at least making it so no one would be able to find it without being a current user.

Syn could see it, the greenish tint that came to the area behind him and he understood now. It was something interesting and he could find it to get out but a smile came to his face while they moved. The caves rocks narrowed while the pair moved and he could feel Iella getting closer, but he didn't know the full path to her just yet until he opened and sent along the bond everything he could. Arya setting illusions along the path to guide the jedi master back if he needed it and making their path obscured as it goes on. He worked finding a stone slab as he pushed. Arya aided but the jedi master pushed the force into his body to move it just barely. And then the scent of musk and age. He made something large enough to slip through and the fallanassi came behind him helping seal it. A back entrance or front maybe but now heavy with illusions from a master.

The jedi's senses flared bringing him around while he didn't speak just felt around the statue and found the small tracks for the path, he made sure it was clear and started to walk towards where he felt Iella still deeper into the cave. Or was it a temple now as he and his master moved carefully while he brushed out his senses to try and find her to tell her he was here. The sound of water running down the stairs the two descended kept Syn going towards the flow of gravity.

Iella stood just taking in the majesty of the construction, she realised she was standing next to one of the many high columns in this place. The water, only part of it she could see, traversed deeper in the cavern and beyond to the unknown. More column lined the waters edge and disappeared into the darkness, the light from her saber only doing so much for her to see. Something called to her ... she so wanted to go to the stairs and climb, but how to get there. She could swim of course .. but something told her not to, a voice in her head maybe?, but a warning she would heed. No she would need some kind of transport to make the crossing.

Then she felt it, along the force bond, Syn is coming and close by now. He had heard her, and she let out a sigh of relief. But she would not move, for many reasons, one she could not go back the way she came and secondly she wanted him to see this place. To keep connection to him so he could find her, she sent emotions of joy .. the emotions she is feeling at his presence. She will sustain this until he arrives.

She did not know how long it would take Syn to find her, so she sat and waited. Feeling more refreshed from the water and the idea of have plenty now if needed, she relaxed. However, for some reason she had this overwhelming feeling she was being watched. She pushed the thought from her mind, just putting it down to her circumstances and the bugs in the places. She decided to do some training in Electric Judgement.

Iella placed her lightsaber on the ground still ignited for light, even though there seemed to be an unnatural light source coming from somewhere. She moved away a little making sure he was not facing the water, just in case, it is water after all and electric and water don't mix. Not sure if Electric Judgement works that way, but she was taking no chances. She let out a sharp breath and relaxed her shoulders. Concentrating she summon the force that still sat tight in her middle, that feeling of the fist had not left her since the force shock wave, but just remained there as if ready .. constantly. She could feel the force saturate her arm and tingle at her finger tips, it is different somehow now, every thing is different, it is like she had finally made a true connection of the force, one that now was not forced but ... ever ready.

She pushed the judgement out and again the blue sparks appeared on the tips of her fingers, she could feel the heat of it, like a cold heat, but none the lest painful. For the moment she took the pain of it as she stretched out her arm and hand directing the to the sandy floor of the cavern. Her eyes focused on a spot in the sand as a target and she pushed the judgement toward it. The lightning form issued from her finger tips, flecked with white and the static crackled around the cavern. For a moment she sustained it, holding it trying to push it further. Her breathing laboured now at the exertion. She could hold no longer and her connection broke, only for the same thing to happen again, the Judgment rebounding back to her and into her arm.

Iella screamed with the pain. Her arm went numb and she grabbed it ... a stream of abuse fell from her mouth, in old Corellian. But she would try again.

The Force is active around the cavern today.

Arrol watched the girl experimenting with the force, and he smiled. He could feel her concentration and focus as he watched with interest, hoped for her she would succeed. But he could feel what was missing, she needed more training that is true, but she had not learned to complete the push. The girl would just let the connection sever and if she was to do that with more power, or a more potent arc, then she will harm herself greatly.

He winched and let out a hiss, as the Judgement retracted back on her. He waited however, until he saw she was about to try again.

Electric Judgement is simply another form of your energy .. concentrated .. push it out of your finger tips, do not let the connection simply sever .. think of it like you would use a force push. His words now echoed around the chamber of the cavern.

Her lightsaber was in her hands in seconds. She searched through the force for the source of the voice, her eyes darting in all directions , but she could not locate it, it seemed to be ... everywhere? Her first reaction was Syn, but no, not his voice.

"Show yourself!", she demanded. "Who are you?".

The temple section that Syn moved through with Arya gave way to move save while he looked around feeling Iella. Whatever it was here and now the jedi master breathed in deeply. He could taste the electricity on the air as he moved forward and listened to the sounds. There was much going on and even more from Iella. The distant and echoing crackle of lightning brought his attention around as he strained to hear it. Then it was gone before coming back again just on the edge of his hearing. Meant the distance between them was greater then he expected and he moved exiting the back way into the cave while Arya made another illusion. Something to mark their path still but what better way to ensure no one bothered him or Iella. That would be enough for now.

Then the time went on while he moved within the cavern and slowly breathed out finding the waters edge, Iella wasn't to far ahead but he stood there for a moment when she was asking who was there. His hand went to his blade while searching out to try and sense anything. To find anyone but there was nothing, no the three of them seemed to be alone while he moved speaking in a low voice."Iella are you okay?"

Nothing, no reply came to her. She started to doubt her own mind at this point, maybe the stress of the days had taken effect and playing with her mind now. A lot had happened to her and she is fatigued physically and maybe mentally now. She had over done it, at least that was what she was thinking.

She lowered her saber a bit and breathed in deep, she could sense Syn now, he is close and then she heard his voice and she left out her breath in relief and joy. She moved quickly to the edge of the water and looked for him. Over the other side of this body of water, she only just make out his features, his physical form still remained large then life, as he is a big man.

"I am fine", she said in a soft voice, he would heard had her emotions of seeing him. "Tired, hungry and sore, but fine", she said again with a little mirth. "Oh .. and hearing voices it seems", she laughed a little now.

The water between them... wasn't a great thing but he could find a way. There wasn't much when it came to the force that had limits and he kind of sneered crouching lower. The fallanassi was near him but didn't speak while she looked around. The jedi master listening to what Iella said as he turned his head. "Do you see a way across? I have some food cubes and a medical bag." His ears strained but the mention of hearing voices only kept him listening, she had said that before long ago about her moonstone and now down here she was hearing more or the same. It could be something important or a sign of something either way it was best if he was with her.

Iella looked around on his words to find a crossing, but found nothing, apart from a swim. "I see nothing to allow a crossing, maybe I could swim?", she said, not sure if she really had the energy to do it, she could take her time and get there eventually. She is pleased that Syn had the medical bag, apart from the food it would be needed. More for the aches and the pain around her ribs, maybe she had cracked a rib or two on that fall, but her breathing suggested not, there is no sharp pain when she does.

It was then that she noticed the other figure with Syn, she could not make out any details of the person and Iella assumed it was someone Syn had been training with. Time enough to meet the person, but for now, they needed to come together.

Iella started for the water and reached the edge of it, she secured everything about her body so it would not be lost in the depths. Most importantly her lightsaber.

Arrol watched as two beings entered the cavern, his shoulders slumped a little at the sight of them, even though he sensed them coming, these events surrounding this young girl, had disturbed his peace. The sooner they are out of here the better and he can get back to his peace. Little did Arrol know that this meeting was not going to be the last.

"Enter the water, and it will be the last thing that you will do, young Lady", his voice once again echoing around the cavern. "The method of crossing is on the other side, where the Jedi Master now stands", Arrol knew of and could sense Syn's power and assumed him to be of that rank. "The waters are safe to drink, safe to take so as to bathe, but not to enter", he continued. "Place both your feet on the step directly below the water line, go no further or the water will take you to it's depths, the crossing will then become clear".
