Endor had become the Sith Order’s latest target in their conquest. Although their true goal was suspected to be elsewhere, the forest moon appeared to be an ample target that would cut off a number of the Alliance’s member worlds.
Katherine volunteered to head to the moon, to initially provide reconnaissance for those that couldn’t quite manoeuvre through the dense forests of Endor. Albeit, the thick canopies made that a difficult task. But someone who could fly and be quiet was a more viable asset than say a scout ship.
That particular objective occupied the majority of the redhead’s time. Until that was, she came across a group of Ewoks. The small furry natives weren’t exactly too pleased to have the Sith encroaching in their forests. And they were all too eager to assist Katherine in dealing with them. Leading her up to a vantage point that overlooked what appeared to be a Sith 'forward camp’.
“
Still can’t see much with all the trees in the way, but I’d say you guys found a sizable camp alright.” Katherine said, adjusting her electrobinoculars as she looked through them. She paused for a moment, catching one of the Ewoks rambling, gesturing wildly with his hands. Admittedly, Katherine could barely understand what they were saying, but at least this group of Ewoks seemed to understand Basic at least.
“
Looks like their leader has finally made himself known, seems to be making some kind of speech.” Again, Katherine couldn’t quite get a good luck at the man, just passing glances. He appeared tall, long blonde hair and was adorned in a crimson cloak. And with the briefest glimpses of his face, the Valkyrie couldn’t shake the thought she’d seen it before.
Shifting into a crouched posture, Katherine began throwing ideas about in her head. It would be a foolish gambit to just swoop in there and cause chaos, but time might not be on their side if the Sith were prepping to head out. That was when a particular idea struck her, and she turned to the Ewoks that had accompanied her.
“
Do you know how to use explosives?”
After some instruction on how to handle and set the timer, the Ewoks hurried off almost giddy with excitement.
She prayed for the best, after all Ewoks could be very clever and resourceful.
With that done, Katherine turned her attention to one of her gauntlets and activated the built-in commlink. “
This is Knight Holt. I’ve located a Sith camp, I’ll provide the coordinates momentarily. I would advise moving in close and then holding position. Wait for my signal, you’ll know it when it happens.” There was a sizable force waiting for her call, a mix of GADF and Jedi.
Taking a moment to transmit the coordinates, Katherine stood to her full height and took a deep breath.
It’s now or never.
Reaching into a couple of her pouches, the redhead pulled out a handful of thermal detonators. It was time to give the Sith a bit of an explosive surprise. With a mighty flap of her wings, the Valkyrie Jedi launched herself up into the sky.
