Building upon centuries of tradition, the uniforms of the Kainate greatly resembled the uniforms worn by both current and predecessor Imperial governments and organizations throughout history.
The outfit consisted of a double-breasted tunic or field jacket cinched around the waist by a synth-leather utility belt, flared trousers, and a pair of synth-leather boots capped with reinforced durasteel toes. Weapon holsters were attached to the utility belt, allowing for the carrying of blaster pistols and vibroswords by the officers of the Kainate. The utility belt could also hold a variety of other tools, such as code cylinders, scramble keys, anti-security blades, grapple hook launchers, and anything else an officer may carry with them.
Hidden underneath the sleeves were a pair of armored bracers, which were effective against lightsabers due to the cortosis-weave found in the hard armor of the uniform; such as the shoulder guards. These were used in conjunction with the vibroblades wielded by the officers of the Kainate, which were symbols of their privileged station as natural-born descendants of the original cultists who worshipped the Sith Lord Carnifex as a living deity.
Rank was displayed on the uniform's front, right over the left breast, with additional specialization insignia worn on the upper sleeves. Ranks were bound to the rigid hierarchy of the Kainate's military, while specialization insignia designated an officer's career disposition.
