Separating the Wheat from the Chaff [TSE Raid of The Home]

Kanz Sector
System MZX32905

The time had come to tear loose the weeds that had been allowed to thrive in the Empire’s own backyard. Testimony from those who had once been closely connected to the errant Sith Ella Nova, and through intense reconnaissance, had revealed the existence of a secret hideaway deep in the most remote regions of the Kanz Sector. That such a redoubt had gone unnoticed for so long was a grave insult to the Emperor and his servants, but their chagrin was quickly replaced by a wave of cold anger.

So it was no surprise that several Marr-class Star Destroyers materialized around the system, accompanied by smaller interdictor vessels so that nothing could escape the system unnoticed. Out from their hangars poured waves of starfighters and boarding ships, a swarm that enveloped the asteroid field in their search for the hidden base.

It loomed before them like a sharp crystalline dagger embedded in lifeless stone, the Home. Once the secret fortress of Darth Vectivus in ages past, it had been rebuilt to serve as a den of heresy and falsehood.

No weapon systems rose to defend the Home as the transports approached, for the skyhook did not possess them. Unfettered, the transports began magnetically attaching themselves to the surface of the skyhook. Pressure sealing connected the two together as white-hot plasma-cutters carved through the metal hull. From the hole dropped two Zuguruk engineers, Pureblood Sith trained in the art of Mechu-Deru, who quickly moved towards the nearest computer terminal so that they could hook themselves into the skyhook’s systems.

Once the way had been cleared and any self-destruct or system wipe protocol overridden by the Dark Side engineers, the Emperor of the Sith, Darth Carnifex, descended from the opening to gingerly step onto the station.

He took one look around before calling out, “Scour the station, catalog any information you can retrieve.

"Understood, my lord."

As Ela Saako stated these words into the comm apparatus, she and her platoon of elite Marine Commandos approached the station in their gunship. The station became larger and larger as they approached it. Once they came within range, Saako ordered her troops to lock and load.

Scouting the station was the order. Of course the heretics would start shooting once they started scouting, so it was more of a purge rather than a scouting mission.

As the gunship landed on the station, heavy fire broke out. Luckily, the pilot managed to get a missile into the landing area, hitting the defenses head on and blowing them up.

As the doors opened, Saako screamed "FORWARD!" and activated her saber staff. She'd then leap out in a force jump and started whirring like a lumber droid.

The Home was a place of much interest for Max. Many Sith had tried to make it their home over the years, but there was one in particular who he appreciated the teachings and life of. Darth Vectivus, though unconventional to some other Sith, showed another possible path that one could follow. In truth, he considered himself somewhat of a Vectivian.

But that was long ago, and those who inhabited it now were merely traitors to him. If only they had decided the better part of judgement and tried a more...diplomatic approach. That didn't seem to come easy to many Sith, however.

The abrupt eruption of comms chatter told Max that the first troops had made their landing. A standby light emitted brightly in the transport ship, and he could now see they were coming into the landing area "Standby for landing" came the pilot. A heavy thud followed, with the light turning green.

"Insert! All armed personnel are assumed hostile."

Disembarking from the ship, the smoldering defenses and advancing allies were a welcome sight.
