GENERAL INFORMATION
Organisation Name: Sekiko Keibatsu-赤虎閥(Red tiger clan)
Classification: Criminal Cartel
Affiliation: Hayata Corporation, Aiko Hayata
Organisation Symbol: Sekiko Keibatsu uses tiger motifs and Atrisian occultism in the various gang logos graffitied on many spaceport walls and streets across the galaxy.
Description: The Sekiko Keibatsu is an intergalactic criminal organisation that primarily deals in drug trafficking, money laundering, illegal gambling and arms smuggling. With most of its membership being found in Atrisia and Atrisian diaspora communities across the galaxy.

GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Headquarters: Atrisia, Coruscant and Nar Shaddaa
Domain: Sekiko Keibatsu's field of criminal control is primarily within the core but has a notable presence in the outer rim and various Atrisian diaspora communities galaxy-wide. The strongest extent of their control can be found on the home planet and little Atrisia neighbourhood on Coruscant, where gang members and other high ranking cartel members own multiple businesses and have control of the streets. It is alleged that the gang uses it's rumoured leaders connections to move throughout the core largely undetected, posing as Hayata corp members and using company assets to shift spice and traffick slaves. The organisation has been around for a long time, cultivating strong ties with the Atrisian community and funding various projects in poor neighbourhoods to gain loyalty from the public.
Notable Assets: Cathar industrial zone, (more to be added in the future).

SOCIAL INFORMATION
Hierarchy: The cartel is headed by a council of inner leaders, with the proverbial tigers head at the top that coordinates and leads all activities at a galactic level. Other council heads run their own domains semi-autonomously in a federation style system but still answer to the tigers head and do their bidding. The organisation is divided into cells at a street level that forms part of a council member's individual domain. These cells are organised to insulate the council heads from being arrested and lessen the damage of a cell being destroyed or compromised by law enforcement. The current top two heads of the organisation are believed to be the Hayata sisters known by the underworld alias Kitsune and Sekiko.
Membership: Coruscanti law enforcement estimates the gang membership to lay at conservative estimates of three to five thousand made members or as many as twenty thousand galaxy-wide members. Gang initiation usually consists of associates being gradually accepted over time by working for the cartel and proving their toughness and worth. The traditional induction process for the 'Tsume', the gang's enforcer wing, consists of a blood in blood out philosophy, where new members are expected to murder a law enforcement officer in order to earn their stripes. The ritualistic beating of the new initiates is also very common but varies between each cell and domain; the process for induction into the council's bodyguard wing is also marred in mystery and rumour. But it is alleged that budding members are made to sign a blood oath and feast on the hearts of the gang's enemies, and swear to defend the clan with their lives. Imperial intelligence also believes that the gang has recently taken to joining galactic militaries to gain experience and impart that paramilitary training and expertise back into its armed wings.
Climate: The inner atmosphere of the gang is one of a familial oath and bond to those around you; the gang recruiters prey on the vulnerable of Atrisian society and play on that feeling of belonging to something great and feeling like you have a family. However, a brutal gang culture exists under the surface where fear of law enforcement and the paranoia of others plagues gang members daily. It is an affluent lifestyle fundamentally bought on the suffering of others; sooner or later, for many in the gang, it all comes crashing down.
Reputation: To many in Atrisia, the Sekiko Kaibatsu is deeply polarising, and their reputation largely varies on who you ask. To some, they are a brutal drug cartel that harms Atrisian society and leads many youths to their deaths; to others, they encapsulate the romantic ideals of the bandit culture of old Atrisia that preyed on the rich and gave back to the poor. In the eyes of law enforcement galaxy-wide, they are a brutal evil society of criminals who will go above and beyond to get what they want—largely responsible for some of the most brutal and vile gangland murders and attacks in recent times on Coruscant.
Curios: Members are largely marked by their distinctive Atrisian body tattoos that cover most of their body, and by the Atrisian folk trinkets some members carry on themselves. Due to the affluent nature of the gang, they also tend to dress better than many of their contemporaries on Atrisia.
Rules: Sekiko Kaibatsu follow an internal honour code that details conduct within the cartel and policies on how profit and the drug trade works; however, these rules can and have been broken when it suited the gang. Many of the gangs members and leaders lean heavily into Atrisian folk religion and occultism, with sicarios worshipping a death cult and doing ritualistic ceremonies before going into battle or performing a hit. The true extent of what this religion encapsulates for the organisation is mainly unknown, with authorities resigned to finding only the murals and grisly aftermaths of murders.
Goals: Originally solely just a cartel, the Sekiko Kaibatsu over the centuries has largely worked to expand its operations and imbed itself into the wider galactic society by increasing its legitimate operations in the form of the Hayata Corporation. Thus making it harder to take down the gangs operations and allowing the clan to adapt and survive many more years.

MEMBERS
Aiko Hayata- alleged leader and head of the Sekiko Kaibatsu
Saiko Hayata- leader of the enforcer wing 'Tsume' and Aikos deputy in command.
(To be expanded)

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Sekiko Kaibatsu has enjoyed a long and storied history as an organisation. Its origins were tied to Genzō Hayata, the famed bandit of Atrisian folklore who had a reputation for outrunning the authorities, robbing the rich, and giving to the poor. Wherever or not Genzō existed or his exploits were significantly embellished and lost in myth and legend is unknown, but the story of him served as an essential foundation myth for the gang and from which the Hayata family claim descent. Save for a few periods of history where others headed the Sekiko Kaibatsu, the Hayata family has always controlled the cartel since the times of the republic. Originating as a small-time bandit clan in Atrisias rural frontiers, it soon expanded beyond it's humble origins and became one of the first crime organisations on Atrisia to export itself beyond the homeland. With a reputation for violence, destruction and torture, the cartel systematically fought each of the other Atrisian crime families for control of the Atrisian drug routes. They were eventually coming to establish themselves as the preeminent crime family of Atrisia, enjoying supremacy and management of the drug market on Atrisia for centuries. Faced with the constant threat of law enforcement and successive Imperial regimes, the cartel adapted and used a wide array of bribery, collaboration, and other planets' safety to survive the turbulent years of the clone wars and rebellion.

It was not until a few hundred years ago did the Sekiko Kaibatsu moved into legitimate enterprises, realising that through sheer violence alone, they could not hope to fight off both the Black Suns, Hutts and even the Republics police alone. Thus Hayata corp was born as a legitimate front for the cartel to launder money and make a profit on an even larger scale then ever before. Though the Sekiko Kaibatsu try hard to paint the image of Hayata Corp and itself as being two separate entities, in truth, they are one and the same, two sides of the same yin and yang. It seems that with Hayatas increasing success and its leaders' friendship with the various leaders of the great galactic powers, the Sekiko Kaibatsu are all but destined to grow even more significant.
