Scouting (Undergound/First Order)

The Red Nebula was a beautiful place. Beautiful, but dangerous. Hidden behind the crimson hue, behind the nebula, lay a field of meteors, making the area almost impassable... almost. Behind that field, was a planet. The First Order were doing something here, and the Underground were going to find out what. [member="Jorus Merrill"] had assigned Leo and his old buddy [member="Dax Fyre"] to perform a small scouting run into the nebula to find out exactly what was going on. He'd also given them a ship, one that was practically defenseless.

The Black Dagger exited hyperspeed and zapped into existence on the border of the nebula. Leo took a moment to stop and smell the space roses, basking in the exquisite site of this vast red nebula on the edge of the galaxy. "Quite the view, hey?" He admitted to Dax from the cockpit. They would take the time now to relax and prepare for the navigation of the asteroid field. The ship's sensors were some of the best Leo had seen so they weren't exactly going in blind, but it would still be quite the feat to come out of this unscathed. "Ever wonder how this just split from the rest of the galaxy?" He questioned.

Dax shrugged and gazed upward, thinking. "Honestly, never occurred to me...Now that you mention it though, not a clue. Its a good question." He gazed out the viewport at the vastness beyond them, the planet hidden behind the asteroid belt winking in and out of existence. "Still, you're right. Beautiful place."

The man leaned back in the seat beside his friend, the seat creaking slightly as it strained backwards. "What do you think we'll find out here?" he asked. Whatever it was that [member="Jorus Merrill"] wanted them to find, it had to be something of some importance...as much as the scan man loved to take scans, he wouldn't waste their time.

Red Nebula

Rumours of ships going missing here gave the Captain the willies to be quite honest, but the tug boat captain would oblige. Space junk was a regular problem out here and well it needed to be handled, a freighter would be coming along shortly and they'd haul it over to Lotho Minor. Junker City would crush the waste or do something with it anyway. Captain Wilson whistled a little tune as he manoeuvred his tug the FIV Thomas Sodor around. It was a small tug, roughly fifty meters in length maybe less. Aboard the vessel was Captain Wilson, Lieutenant Hiro and Lieutenant Percy who all worked together here on the lovely little ship. It occurred to them that perhaps there was another ship, or so their radar told them so. He ignored it - until his radar went a little crazy, "oh alright pipe down dere," he crossed to his comms, "well now."

"Hello dere, names Cap'n Wilson you must be on the wrong side the galaxy! Unless yer lookin for space junk in which case yer welcomed to it!"

"Another Omega?" Leo joked, his hands hovering above the controls, getting ready for the challenge ahead when the ship's sensors picked up an anomaly, there was another ship nearby. He opened his mouth to speak again when suddenly the ship's comms burst to life. Leo stared at Dax in stunned silence as a withered voice echoed across the room. A puzzled look overcame Leo as 'Cap'n Wilson' explained the situation. Leo looked back at Dax and motioned for silence as he activated their comm unit in response. "Uhh... apologies. Our drive appears to have karked it and left us out here." He said as convincingly as possible. "We should be out of your hair as soon as we fix it."

"Oh boy, don't say that man." Dax groaned just as the voice came over the comm units. The Rogue immediately vaulted towards the sensors to read whatever was out there. 'Just a tug...' the man thought to himself. Definitely not another Omega...Just in case though, Dax was ready to go hot. He looked at the mercenary as the man made up some story about a damaged hyperdrive. No reason the tug wouldn't buy it Dax guessed.
