Designed by Sasori for cutting when materials are more sensitive to heat. A high powered nozzle ejecting water in a highly pressurized stream to cut through rock, metal and wood. With a second nozzle and mode that applies abrasives able to the jet stream for harder ores and metals. The overall design is to unlike plasma and laser mining not risk melting or in some cases like Paragus detonating if there is a small slip. The parts are designed to be waterproof and are durable with trained individuals there to work on them in the mines to get as much ore and precious metals as they can.
As a smaller system it was important to really work on it and improve the design... to make it smaller and more portable as to put it with a survival pack. The hydrocutter adapts the technology from the hydration system to produce its own reserves of water letting it not have to be hooked up for small periods of cutting power where it might be needed and it is good against stone. It can't cut forever without being hooked up to a source of water but will function for a little time. Many of the overhauls are set up for the engineers and others to use.

- Laminanium: Designed like a Quellian ship the hull of the orbital platforms has a thin layer of the material to improve repairs and over time depending on the amount of damage it is able to patch itself up.
- Built in power source: Designed with its own internal power source that is long lasting but it is largely able to power the armor and systems of the vehicle but when damaged it is highly explosive.
- Self Repairing: Built with a protective layer to patch the vehicle in the event of damage. The time table is dependent upon the amount of damage with smaller tears being easier and faster to repair then gashes which can take hours to reform.
- Note: Only the layer can repair not the full plate armor itself the plating can be damaged still but the underlayer of Laminanium can reform and remain.
