• The ring was made of Estrian, formed to metal, mixed with Astrkerite Crystal shards and Changing Molecule and Keilara/Mercy and Kallan/Asher's DNA; the creators formed it with Force Alchemy and Valkyrja Runes, giving the ring more abilities:
  • The main effect and ability of the ring is to provide shape-shifting for the body. Of course, this has its limits and limitations.
    • The ring is able to sense which consciousness is controlling the body, Kallan, Mercy, or Keilara, due to the DNA patterns in it. Since Mercy and Keilara are owners of the same body, control between the two is irrelevant. All that matters is whether they or Kallan control the body.
    • When the ring senses that there is a change in the mind and someone else controls the body, it causes the body to change shape. Thus, when Kallan controls it, the body transforms into the original appearance of the man, in this form he currently looks like a man in his early thirties. The body's DNA and everything is perfectly his, just like when he had his own body. If someone took a DNA sample from him, it would show the long-lost Kallan.
    • When Mercy or Keilara control the body, the body changes back to its original form. Since there is no change in the case of the body, all physical injuries and wounds remain. So there is no change in the body and it will be the original, unchanged again.
  • The ring is able to provide a slow but steady and passive, not very strong regeneration for the body, which can compensate for any pain and injury gained during the shape-shifting.
    • Minor injuries heal in a matter of minutes, and more serious injuries can take hours or days if the man is able to rest. It cannot regrow a severed limb and does not protect the wearer from fatal injuries.
• The ring can change in size if the body also changes, thanks to the Changing Molecule, so it always fits perfectly on the Mercy or Kallan's finger.
• It’s not made with Dark Force, so anyone can feel the ring completely neutral in the Force.
• Thanks to the crystal, the ring has a natural calming effect that soothes and calms the mind. This can be especially useful for non-Force based telepaths, for whom the use of their telepathic power is thus less exhausting and stressful.
• The Astrkerite crystal shards are alchemized, which helps the use of non-Force based telepathy. And it helps a lot for Keilara to be able to use non-Force based astral projection and thus be with Kallan if he controls the body.

• Healing: Able to give the body a weak regeneration so small and not serious injuries can heal quickly.
• Shape-shifting: The ring can sense which consciousness/person controls the body. If there is a change in this, it will automatically start the shape-shifting.
• Change: The size of the ring varies according to Mercy/Keilara or Kallan's form, so it always fits perfectly on their finger, due the Changing Molecule.
• Telepathic Help: The crystal pieces in the ring help with non-Force based telepathy. Which in the case of the Mercy/Keilara/Kallan trio is mostly about mental protection and astral projection.

• Limits: It gives only weak regeneration, and the shape-shifting changes between two forms, so it cannot be used specifically for espionage or other camouflage. The ring doesn’t serve that purpose, just to help Kallan to be in his body again, which the Maw took away from him years ago.
• Physical Contact: The personality changes are not enough to use the ring, the ring should definitely be in contact with the body's skin. If this is not done, no benefit of the ring will prevail, there will be only one ring.
• Not Painless: Shape-shifting is not painless. Muscles stretch, tear, or collapse. The regeneration and analgesic effect of the ring dampens and relieves this, but it can’t suppress it entirely, during shape-shifting and after that until the healing is complete, the body may be in pain.
• Not Instant: The shape change is not immediate, but takes at least a minute, which can cost their life on the battlefield, mainly because of the pain, because during the shape change they cannot fight or perform complex actions. So it can be really unpleasant if for some reason the personality controlling the body loses control and the shape-shifting begins.
• No Cheat They can't cheat death. The body suffers damage in any form, the damage remains even after shape-shifting.
• Sensible: The jewellery is made with Force Alchemy, so unless they will not try to hid it in the Force, others can feel the ring, which is completely neutral in the Force. And the body is not Force sensitive (only in the Netherworld), so they will not be able to hide the ring's aura.
• Force Nullification: With such effects, the ring does not work, it will only be a resistant piece of jewellery (the Changing Molecule is not affected because it is a technology). Thus, under such an influence, it can be extremely unpleasant, even if the personality controlling the body changes, the body will not change. Thus, it may happen that Mercy has to control a male body, or Kallan controls a female one again (although he is getting used to it, since he was able to control the original body until the ring was made, he was not able to use the body in his own form).

This ring was not made for war, but for the time when there is no need to fight. After the birth of the twins, Mercy did not commit suicide only because of Kallan's request and thus did not kill the man and Keilara, who also existed in her mind. However, Mercy prepared to commit suicide, but by killing only her own personality and leaving Kallan and Keilara alone. She wanted them to live happily ever after. Although, Kallan and Keilara didn't want that. In the end it looked like another solution was found thanks to Manifold, but the ring was still finished.

The ring was ordered by Mercy through Nite, using her connections. The goal was for Kallan to get his own body back in some form. Originally she even wanted this for Asher, by cloning, though his death on Tython changed everything. The Galaxy knew the man as Mongrel, but to Mercy he was Asher. After his death, the woman put her husband's brain into stasis, in case she needed it someday. The man's other personality, the original, survived Tython, when Mercy lifted him into her own consciousness and mind. This is why they are both in one body; three, if we count Keilara, who is the original owner of the body, split into multiple personalities just for her own survival.

The ring is quite light and very resistant, it has no fighting properties, because neither Kallan nor Keilara are fighters. The change of shape is not perfect in that it does not happen immediately, but the body has to transform into the other form. The ring can detect when the brain waves that control the body change, and based on this, it initiates the shape change. It can be unpleasant if the personality controlling the body accidentally changes during a fight, as they can easily die from it. Not to mention that if they are in a place where there is no Force, the ring won't work either.

However, according to their wishes and dreams, they will soon be able to live in peace, probably in the Netherworld, if their plan succeeds and the whole family can be together, all four of them with the twins. But that's still the future. The ring arrived shortly a few days before the final battle before Exegol. So hopefully they will have a chance to test this before the fight and hopefully before the final fight Keilara and Kallan can meet each other in reality and not just in the mind palace…
