ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Arsenal of Justice: The Remembrance Class Star Destroyer is equipped with a vast array of different weapon categories, each placed in specific, overlapping positions across the vessel. The wide selection of combat weapons allows for commanding officers of Remembrance Class vessels to select the right tool for the job, not matter what enemy they may be facing. Able to engage targets at short range, long range, and even point blank range, the Remembrance Class poses a threat to its foes in almost every combat scenario it takes part in.
  • Security State: The Remembrance Class is designed as both a warship and a floating fortress. Should the vessel be boarded, opponents will face a myriad of dangers designed to separate, control, and eradicate all threats posed to the vessel. With narrow corridors, security defense points, and various traps set throughout the vessel, any invading force will be forced into an uphill battle to secure any victory. Perhaps the greatest weapon however in the defenders arsenal is the linked life support system. Rather than a single ship wide life support system, the Remembrance Class has several connected units, allowing entire sections to be evacuated, cut off, and depressurized without risking the rest of the ship.
WEAKNESSES
  • Slow and Steady: The Remembrance Class, rather than having a large number of smaller engines has only two engine units. Set into the superstructure of the ship itself to protect them, the vast energy requirements of each massive engine limit the potential speed of the warship, preventing it from matching the speed of similarly sized vessel, and is incapable of chasing down fleeing ships.
  • Excessive Systems: The Remembrance Class is designed to be a jack of all trades warship. This need to fill many different roles has led the ship to become bloated in terms of equipment and crew requirements. The vessel requires nearly double the number of crewman and officers that more mainline warships require, and the additional Stormtrooper contingent further stretch the resources and space the vessel has to spare. The Remembrance Class must remain close to secure supply lines to support its crew and vast weapon systems and hangars, as well as secure the vital support needed to keep her packed crew in fighting shape.
DESCRIPTION
The Remembrance Class Star Destroyer is the culmination of the grief and rage felt by Terrence Winter, an officer in the First Order Navy. Following the reported defeat at Csilla, and the deaths of untold numbers of innocent civilians, he young officer withdrew from public life while the Navy reorganized itself. When he finally emerged from his self imposed seclusion, the initial blueprints for the Remembrance Class were held in his hands as he stormed into the admirals office. His actions nearly earned him a court martialing, but in time, his enthusiasm and drive in the name of the First Order earned him the support of several military planners. Several weeks of design refinements eventually led to the commissioning of the first prototype of the class, the FIV Csilla.

Designed to fill the role of fleet support, the Remembrance Class eschews a specific tactical role to focus on a broad range of options. The vessel is capable of engaging enemy warships in head on engagements, fighting a dedicated fighter war, and even serving as an in orbit command and control ship as well as planetary assault vessel. It has a mixture of laser based weapons, missiles, as well as projectile armaments to engage foes with various defense shielding as well as targets at all ranges. Its compliment of Stormtroopers and support vehicles allows it to wage a ground war against enemies of the First Order, and its arsenal of nuclear weaponry ensures that no foe is capable of escaping the justice the First Order will bring to the galaxy.

The Remembrance Class faces dangers when deployed far away from friendly territory for long periods of time, or becoming isolated from supply chains. The vast crew requirements of the vessel ensure that constant resupplying missions are required, far above the standard quota of other craft. The sheer number of beings aboard the vessel and limited space means the vessel can only carry two weeks worth of supplies at any given time, ensuring it must either stay close to friendly territory, or act as part of larger fleet groups.

The vessel is intended to serve as the first in a new line of warships planned by Terrence Winter, to ensure that the First Order is equipped and ready to bring justice to those who stand against the First Order.
