The backwater farming world of Copperline had long been ignored by galactic powers, particularly because the substantive farmers that made up its populace were not the most enticing of resources to collect. Yet that anonymity and irrelevance in galactic affairs had made the world attractive to a different group of individuals;
Pirates.
The lack of, well, anything on Copperline meant that when judicial forces or patrols tried to hunt down bands of corsairs and marauders, a rarely-visited agrarian world in the Western Reaches never came to mind. Soon, the pirates operating out of Copperline outnumbered Copperline’s natives, although in fairness there weren’t that many natives, to begin with. It was no matter of time before Copperline had quickly risen to the top in terms of popularity and reputation. But this privateering paradise was not to last forever. It was the Galactic Empire that was able to successfully track down fleeing pirate ships to Copperline, and what ensued was a siege that rivaled battles of the Clone Wars. Many ships, Imperial and Pirate, were lost that day, but after fierce fighting, the Empire had won. No pirates escaped that day.
The wreckage was termed ‘Mauarader’s Grave’ by Copperline’s inhabitants, with huge fields of floating debris and terrestrial wrecks of pirate ships covering the planet. For a while it was an annoyance, then an oddity, then the place of legends. The spirits of the pirates -- and their ships -- were rumored to haunt the battlefield on which they had perished. But these were dismissed as nothing more than folk tales and stories to frighten children, not legitimate rumors.
That was until the disappearances began. Suddenly a huge spike of ships heading for Copperline never seemed to be able to make it to their destination, and inhabitants swore they could see the telltale lights of a space battle in orbit above. In the wake of the dissolution of the Outer Planet Alliances, the Copperline government, left with nowhere else to turn to, petitioned the Confederacy of Independent Systems, for help, and in return, Copperline would join the ranks of the Confederacy.
In the wake of their fallen ally, the Confederacy has deemed it their mission to quell this disorder. Venture into the Marauder’s Grave, and prepare to face the unknown.

- Investigate the orbiting wrecks of pirate ships centuries-old for the strange activity that is inhibiting travel to Copperline. Intelligence is spotty, with rumors about phantom ships, a new pirate gang, and other insidious and imaginative foes being told to inhabit the graveyard.

- The Nightmother of the Solanaceae has sensed a wound in the force over Copperline; possibly the disturbed spirits of the pirates who fought there centuries ago. Do your best to attempt to commune with these spirits, and seek closure and figure out how to neutralize their antagonism.

- On the planet of Copperline itself, its inhabitants prepare to celebrate what they call the Haunting, in which they decorate a graveyard of ships known as the Boneyard with lanterns, colorful streamers, and celebrate with masks, costumes, and concessions. Come to the Boneyard to celebrate in some eerie fun or go for some ghost-hunting.

- BYOO: Copperline is a spooky world, and it’s yours to explore and enjoy!
