Rebirth of an Empire (Galactic Empire dominion of O'reen)

"Bwahahahaha! Ahaha! Hahaha!" Ahani cackled, now more than adequate with the gun's workings. Her reflexes keen, she flitted from position to position, targeting, locking and obliterating each one. "Aw this is fun, eh guys!?" The other military blokes around stared at the Echani officer, as she shoved the targeting over and fired shot after shot.

Through the computer, she saw one of the capital ships the Imperial Flagship was fighting shudder, compressions of orange and yellow energy bursting forth in conflagrations and fire. She'd cracked more than the hull, and the hangar bay was burning. "@[member="Moira Skaldi"] what's the update on the battle, how close are we to cracking these frogs?" The boom of the gun continued in rapid succession, as the Imperial 'officer' talked and fired into the fray.

@[member="Rexus Drath"] reaction made Yokuni pause. It was Yokuni’s reflexes reacting to what could have been danger his companion was reacting to. “Damn it…it is just the stairs”, Yokuni just laughed.

“About the Force”, he was still chuckling. “You’re trying to stick a square peg in a round hole. Relax and don’t let you mind get to worried about what other Force Users can do or how they use the Force. Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Let whoever you are flow though you. Define yourself and don’t let anyone do that for you. In your heart what do you feel that gives you strength?”

"Okay, first off they aren't just stairs." he said panting as he climbed the dreaded creations. "Second, they are the most evil things ever made." and he was right, what kind of sick sadistic bastard would make these dreaded things in a civilization that had conquered space and flight! Honestly they couldn't of just put in another elevator. "Oh good glob." he said wheezing and coughing afterwards

Though that's when he raised a question, what gave him strength? The only thing that ever did give him the will to soldier on was the girl he cared about. And she died many years ago. "A girl named Jenha, she's no longer with us anymore though." honestly Rex would of given it all up for the girl and he bettered himself for her. But now his heart just seemed like a hole. "Let's just get this done" he said to @[member="Togashi Yokuni"]

[SIZE=11pt]If he did not want to help this guy he would have rolled his eyes at the mention of love. Yokuni knew that was his feelings on the matter. Love was a weakness and one Yokuni cared not to have. Still he knew love was a powerful emotion. “Sure”, Yokuni went to the railing and looked over it then up. “Trough passion you gain strength”, hoping up onto the railing Yokuni carefully balanced himself while eyeing the top most railing. He leapt feeling the power of the Force run through him. He was a blur of motion as flying towards the railing. Reaching out with his hand he grabbed a hold of the railing. It was a smooth motion while using his momentum he pulled himself up over the railing. There he was at the top of the stair looking at the door to the roof. What remained is… would [/SIZE]@[member="Rexus Drath"] use his passion and make that leap of faith!

"Through passion my black hairy ass." He said under breath, Rex had been through the ancient sith order and he hated every second of it. He had been there and done that but it was not a fun time in his life, the man certainly had distaste for the sith and wanted them to at least be a bit more civil in their ways. Reaching the top Rex took a deep breath then adjusted the straps on his back pack to be more tight, he had to make this jump.

Grabbing the bag he spun around and threw it to the other side, luckily being plastic explosive they weren't capable of exploding on a hard impact. "Here comes Rexy!" getting a running start the men augmented his movement through the force and jumped as hard and high as he could, he speed through the air clearing the jump but landing was a bit more easier than he though. And by landing I mean crashing. Once he hit the ground rex rolled and hit the concrete on his side "Ooowww" he said coughing afterwards. Looking up at @[member="Togashi Yokuni"] he shook his head "Not a damn word."

Masaru Mori

Entirely Legitimate Businessman
A low chuckle escaped from Masaru as his men efficiently cleared the front hall. He nodded his approval to Alejandro and strode inside behind them. Wealth and opulence were on display, but already broken before the might of the Reki, furniture overturned hastily for cover that had proven ineffective and the walls peppered with blaster scorches.

Such a waste.

Masaru waved for the rest of the Reki to follow him inside, "Search this house and find wherever Mr. Crowl has hidden himself. Bring him to me alive. The rest of his subordinates can be dealt with as necessary."

[SIZE=11pt]As uncouth and not becoming of an Imperial soldier talking about his hairy backside was Yokuni did not frown. He laughed but he did not frown. In fact the Elder Shadow Master accomplished what he set out to do as [/SIZE]@[member="Rexus Drath"] continued on with his internal emotional rant about the Sith.

Picking up the pack of explosives continued to catch to gauge how best to help Rex in the ways of the Force. It was under the impression that if Rex had a better control of his abilities he could be a stronger asset to the Inquisition. The execution of the skill was good but the landing needed work.

Rex shaking his head and demanding that he Yokuni to not say a demand word only made Yokuni laugh again. “Your pack young square”, Yokuni pushed the pack lightly to the area of Rex’s chest. “To the public we don’t say a dammed word but it is my duty to see the Inquisition is well trained. As Shadows we do not have to comment to one mantra over the other. In fact it is encouraged for us to learn the mantras of the Sith as well as the Jedi. Maybe there is balance in there but it is unquestionable that knowing our enemy gives us a tactical advantage. Come out on the roof. Before we jump I will show you a roll to make your landing on the other roof less painful.”

Rexus stood up dusting himself off, well this had been a grand day. Rescuing half dead guys jumping out from building to building and now this guy wanted to give him a lesson on the force. "Maybe later, but right now we have a job to do." the man grabbed his pack and strapped it on then looked at @[member="Togashi Yokuni"] and ran a hand through his thick dreads. They had to get this done and Rex would be more than happy to get some training as soon as they blew this sheild generator sky high. "We got to go sir" he said in the most respectful voice he could muster up. The day was almost theirs and now all they needed to do was gain air superiority

"Stay focused and concentrate on your task. This is not a holomovie. The orbital station designated Oscar One must be terminated. Firing in synch with fleet task force," Moira spoke sternly, her voice durasteel hard. Somehow organics were always so excitable about the smallest things. As far as she was concerned Ahani was chattering far too much, which was another annoying organic trait. However, on the flip side the human had markedly improved the efficiency of the gunnery station she had been assigned to.

Perhaps Moira would get to purge someone when they finally took the planet. For now the true action lay in space and the boom of the heavy guns resounded across the station as volleys were shot out into the vastness of space, the Imperial fleet closing on their targets like hungrey predators homing in on their prey. The main orbital platform of the enemy was strongly defended, with several lesser platforms providing support, snub fighters trying to run interference but they would be met with a hailstorm from the flak batteries of the Imperial battleships and frigates.

"..Tregessar out."

With that, there was just silence and impending doom to keep Satoshi company. This was an opportunity to be seized, but the opportunity itself had sharp edges. He would have to negotiate this scenario skilfully, or he would no doubt perish with the ship. Dying over the skies of O'reen was not in Satoshi's life plan. In fact, distinguishing himself had been more what he had in mind. Now he had an opportunity to do so. The young man remained calm, impassive. His brilliant, unorthodox and quickly powerful mind worked at such a level that he began merely acting out of impulse. He was a vessel of action for his thoughts. That was how brilliant painters, sculptors, musicians and mathematicians acted when they were in the "zone", and now Satoshi had joined them. There was no filtering of thought by his subconscious, no quality control, he merely synthesised data and melded it into his mind, then reacted.

The deflector shields were powered up to maximum now, taking a battering from Oscar One, and to make matters worse the O'reen fleet had dispatched three worn, older frigates to finish the Akatsuki off. They were much faster than the Gyon-class heavy cruiser, especially given the substantial engine damage, and their anti-ship batteries made them dangerous. They would be like wasps, stinging and harassing the larger ship into an early grave. Satoshi responded by rerouting more power from the services they could no longer use, such as the bridge's various power sources, and taking it to the shields. He angled the ship to more adequately defend against the frigates as a wave of torpedoes crashed into the shields, flickering them for a second. The Hiei was still a while away, and its large batteries would not help much against the frigates. Satoshi would have to move to the Hiei and use it like a shield, and let the Star Destroyer shepherd it back to the main fleet. But for now, he had three frigates to deal with, as well as a flight of snubfighters that moved past them and made their first attack run.

The quad-laser batteries roared and spat fire into the snubfighters, showing that the crippled Gyon still had some fight. The first attack run yielded thirty percent casualties as the efficient Imperial gunners fired effectively. Then the three frigates joined the attack, busying about the Akatsuki and hammering at it with their smaller turbolasers. Satoshi's rerouting of power to the shields meant that they would hold ... for now. But in the midst of the attack, one of the frigate's commanders made a terrible mistake. His flight path took him into the firing line of the Gyon's main guns, and Satoshi took the opportunity. The twin cannons fired again, for the first time in minutes, and hit the frigate just below the bridge. Now the frigate drifted, a crippled hulk, and the Akatsuki made for the Hiei with one less frigate to worry about.

“So be it, let’s do this”, out the door Yokuni started to run across the apartment’s roof. Close to the edge of the roof the light bent around the Yovshin. Disappearing from sight the Elder Shadow Master disappeared from view. His presence could be still felt through the Force but he could no longer be seen by the naked eye.

Half way through the jump Yokuni a middle aged man in a dark blue jump suit working on a power box on the roof he was about to jump on. Too late to prepare to silence his landing Yokuni hit the roof in a roll and came back up onto his feet. Hearing a noise behind him the middle aged man in a panic stood straight up. With his left hand Yokuni drew on the Force. A telekinetic presence wrapped around the man in the blue jump suit and he flew through the air. In a flash Yokuni drew out his sword. It was a flurry of speed the man had flown through the air and the Lighting Sword was drove straight through the man’s heart.

"Okay Rex, you can do this. You are one with the magic bugs." Strapping down the backpack tight to his body Rexus drath had to bend light and hit the other roof top. Sure he could miss and fall horribly to his death. What else could go wrong? Putting a smile on his face he ran as fast as he could with the added weight of the pack it only slowed him slightly. Within mid jump the light bent around him and he vanished to the naked eye

Upon landing the man fell on his pack hitting the ground not as hard this time. Upon standing up though he felt @[member="Togashi Yokuni"] end a man's life. He had no idea if the man was a soldier or just another civillian doing his job to defend his home. "You ok?" he said in a hushed whisper to the man.

“Yes”, the man started to slowly fall off of Yokuni’s blade, “but he is not!” The corpse hit a pool of his own blood with a sickening splat. Showing no compassion for the death the Yovshin had already found a piece of cloth inside the man’s tool box and was wiping the blood from the blade. “That shack looking thing with the door right”, he pointed with his sword, “Is the maintenance door to the turbo lift shaft.”

"Roger Wilco, moving." Grabbing his silver imperial knight's light saber he kept it at the ready in case they ran into further troubles. Rex had no problem dealing with soft compromises on an opp but then again he wasn't a fan of killing civillians when the need arises. Keeping in a combat mind set he approached the door and leaned inside to check if it was clear "Check him for a map of the compound." he whispered then entered the shack to check for any more compromising opponents.

"Clear." he said to the man moving back to more of his grunt side, he had only hoped his platoon was doing better than he was now. Gunnery Sergeant Drath in his cover life knew how this process worked. @[member="Togashi Yokuni"]

With the blade now cleaned he sheathed it. “Fantastic”, Yokuni walked into the building and over to the railing. To his right was a set of stair to a lower platform but on the other side of the railing was the open shaft of the turbo lift. The elevator was maybe half way down the shaft. Launching himself over the railing air began to whip past Yokuni blowing his hair about. Quietly he descended down the shaft and landed softly without a sound on top of the elevator.

Oh great, more jumping that was just perfect. "Show off" Rexus said to himself chuckling afterwards. Well there was no other option besides jump. Making sure everything was still there and secured in his Alice pack he jumped downwards and pushed up with the force to slow and quiet his landing. They were almost there now all that was left was to find the way to the generator and blow it

Looking over where @Togashi Yokumi was bending light Rex spoke in a whisper. "Sir we need to blow this lemonade stand soon, the fleet is moving into position." he said to the man as softly as he could. The job was almost over

It was great timing that Rex finished speaking. For that matter they had just got to the right spot at the right moment. Sensing something Yokuni held up his hand. It was a solid fist. An Imperial trooper sign to hold fast or in some cases silence. Just then the door to the elevator opened up. Yokuni could not see into the lift but he could her two different voices going into it.

First male voice: “Do you really think the captain is being paranoid?”

Second voice: “Heck yes. The Empire does not now about this back door!”

The turbo lift began to move. Yokuni knelt down to steady himself and listened to the two men.

First male: “I think so too. I think it is crazy we should have to guard the lifts door at the bottom. We both know the Empire is going to go straight for the front door of the shield generator and kick it down.”

Second male: “Yes at least we’re safe. I’m sure we will surrender shortly after the shields go down. It would be crazy to fight beyond that point.”

The lift stopped and the two voices were about to walk out of the lift. Tokuni kicked through the emergency hatch at the top of the elevator. Jumping through the hatch he flew towards the ground head first. He tucked his head in and rolled as soon as he hit the floor between the men’s feet….and with the momentum he rose up to his feet.

Shocked the two soldiers stumbled for their rifles. Their reactions were to slow. With one round house he had kicked one man in the jaw. The man spun off his feet and landed on the ground. The second had a Lighting sword to his throat. “Here are your two choices. One you surrender. The other option is death”, he waited for a reply.

“We surrender”, both men shouted in unison and placed their hands upon their heads. It sickened Yokuni to see such cowardice but there was a tactical advantage here…maybe. He was just thinking about killing them.

Dropping the pack down the hatch Rex soon followed, it wasn't really too much of a drop for the six eleven man, upon looking at the situation at hand Rex picked up his pack and smiled. He was glad to see that the two men weren't killed and the job could be done with the least amount of bloodshed possible. "Gentlmen, if you could do kindly lead us to the generator my boss here won't kill you." he said chuckling afterwards. Things were not going to be as botched as he hoped, as soon as they blew up the place they could go and the day would be theirs.

Strapping the pack back on his back he looked over to @[member="Togashi Yokuni"] and nodded for them to move onward. They had to get there the fastest way and these two schmucks obviously knew that route. They would have to be kept alive for them to reach it

Second Soldier: “Yes we can show you the way.”

The man’s eye still looking at the blade to his throat.

First Soldier:Yes Sir, we can take you there. Please do not kill us!”

Their weapons were on the floor. Yokuni eyed them both for a second. Both men were visibility fearful for their lives. Fear was a strong tool and in this case Yokuni believed these two men would do as they were told to live.

Taking one step back Yokuni sheathed the Lighting sword in one smooth movement…without even looking. “Leave your rifles on the ground and walk in front of us. Know this. Death will come quick if you try to betray me. Your death will not be painless!”

“Yes M’ Lord”, scared out of their minds they both answered quickly and began to walk. Yes Yokuni knew these two would show them the way.

"You have such a way with people" Rex joked and chuckled as he soldiered on with the heavy pack. Yes it really sucked to carry the explosives but in the end it would help the empire grow and secure their borders against their enemies. "Yo lets make this quick, the fleets are almost ready to beat down on this place." the men proceeded down the halls and through the tunnels to find the sheild generator. Luckily for them they had their own personal guides there, and finding it wouldn't be so hard anymore

@Togashi Yokumi was certainly frightening, Rex only hoped that the two unarmed men would be spared. He would try his best to make sure they went home to see their families at the end of the day. Rex understood that they were only doing their jobs and he respected that "I think it's up here" rex said to the man as the two continued to guide them closer
