SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Phrik-A and Duraplast-E armor plating are lighter materials meaning that this armor actually contains a massive amount of them. This offers a huge amount of protection from a variety of combat threats, even being rated for Class-D disruptor rounds due to the molecular stability of both Phrik-A and Duraplast-E. And while this doesn't mean the armor itself is impervious to disruptor shots, it does mean that a soldier can relax even when going against Mandalorians wielding Pulse Rifles and Heavy Disruptor Pistols.
  • On board stowage systems for the suit allow the user to carry limited ammunition and supplies, however there are external "Assault Pack" modules that allow for more carrying capacity. This combined with electro-magnetic plates to hold stowed weapons allow for this suit to carry and utilize most if not all rifle/heavy weapons and carry them effectively. And for pistols a specific hip holster allows for most pistols to be carried inside the hip plating, but if the pistol is too large, a similar magnetic plate module can be installed.
  • Raven on this suit allows for extended flights with the suit, with low speed hovering, high speed bursts of velocity, or standard flight modes available. This makes troopers in these relatively heavy armor suddenly more agile and terrifying as now they're not only assaulting the ground, but leaping into the air and raining unholy hell on enemy forces with a new vantage point to fire from. Or outmaneuvering more traditional forces on the ground because who cares about terrain when you can bloody fly? And did I forget to mention that this system is actually effective enough to allow these suits to swim under water with surprising speed and agility. While they cannot move extremely fast through the water however, combined with the Svalinn shields set to underwater travel they can move along at quite a healthy pace.
  • Multiple Isotope-5A micro-reactors provide the Raven class pack the ability to propel the armor system various distances to cover lots of ground at various paces.
  • FM-002 construction in this armor piece makes it entirely force dead and therefore immune to machinations or alterations from other force users with their space magic. This means attacks won't be able to actually target this armor as this armor isn't connected to the force, at all and as such neither are the wearers.
STRENGTHS
  • All out assault: This armor system is designed for one thing. To attack. It gives the soldier a premium when it comes to offensive capabilities from speed of movement, armor, and angles of attack when on the offense. With the Raven you can relocate or even use it mid assault to negate the enemy's cover, with the Svalinn you can put up a shield wall to provide excellent cover for your comrades as you advance. This suit does it all. Even against those who wield the powers of the force can be overwhelmed with the sheer amount of aggression an operator wields in this suit.
  • Tactical Coordination, Firepower and Utility oh my!: The systems on this suit mesh well with others in the same communications network to make this suit a force multiplier on the battlefield. This allows this suit to be used by your vanguard forces, striking hammer blows where enemy defenses are the strongest, and then redeploying to another section of the field immediately when complete. Add in the capabilities to not only use all types of man-portable but also mounted weapon systems on the suit, combined with added utilities that operators can add to perform specialty tasks (such as long range comms, hacking, laser designators etc.) and these suits are a terrifying sledgehammer on the field. If used properly with more conventional forces, the sky is the limit for what their potential is.
  • Extremely reliable and customizable: The protection and laminates on these suits allow them to take a literal beating on the field of battle. The Phrik-A/Duraplast-E Composite armor plating alone is enough to tank even disruptor shots, and the ability to add on specialty equipment to make operations in unique environments possible, and this suit is extremely durable without sacrificing the ability to adapt. This includes mounting weapons to the suit, specialty equipment, grapple guns, or even just more carry capacity with Assault Pack attachments for the suit allowing you to carry more bang into battle.
WEAKNESSES
  • Requires use of the RA2-series undersuit: This armor is exactly what it sounds like. An armor system that requires the use of a powered armor suit itself to work. Just putting the plates of armor on is highly ill advised as this armor system is stupid level heavy.
  • Not total coverage: This armor has gaps between the plates and soft armor underlay which makes it possible to aim specifically for the undersuit in question with precision shots. And if you damage the undersuit that means this armor will not only weigh down the operator with this armor, but also negate any protections provided by the undersuit. And there are certainly gaps in the armor to take advantage of this.
  • Can't be used by force users: So note that FM-002 has Synthetic Yorik Coral in it. Which is extremely force dead. This means without a long time to get acclimated to the suit, extreme disorientation, nausea, and otherwise feeling like they've lost a major sense will be too extreme to utilize the suit. And while this allows wearers of the suit to appear as literal voids in the force, for a force sensitive this is a major detriment.
DESCRIPTION
The RA2-M started out with a problem that plagues most dismounts in urban combat. The vertical nature of urban warfare, and most populated battle zones in general, was that it was more than like a maze for dismounts to navigate without heavy equipment. And if you brought heavy equipment, you placed a massive bullseye on your position for every artillery piece in that particular hemisphere. This problem presents several challenges, as sure you could just deploy smaller heavies to support the infantry that is more mobile, but it doesn't change that obstacles are still in your way. Freebirds initially thought to mount a jet pack to standard trooper armor, but then decided that wasn't enough. As now the soldier was in the air, which meant they needed a lot more armor. Which made them heavier, and so on and so forth until they decided a brand new solution was needed. And so, the creation of the RA2-M was initialized. The first thing they decided to do was make a suit of power armor that was a bit larger than standard power armor to incorporate all of the necessary technologies and power necessary to make this suit work as in intended.

They were going to make the infantry in these suits, the tanks.

They would start with the body glove and skeletal structure, using the BMCS and FM-002 to form the basis of the suit's control system. This along with a centralized power core of three Isotope-5A micro-reactors next to a central computing unit with multiple Omnisiah processing units with all of the necessary computer components to ensure the rest of the armor works. They would then begin to layer the body glove with laminates of FM-001, FM-002, and then FM-003 for connections between the centralized brain and all of the sensory nodes. Then on top of this is the layers of CMAS to form the muscles and necessary moving parts of the entirety of the power armor. On top of all of this there was another layer of FM-001 and FM-002 to ensure that outside contaminates didn't interfere with the electronics or damage the suit's internals. And from there they move onto the armor plating.

The armor plating starts out with a thin layer of FM-003 forming the soft armor. This would be supplemented with hardened composite plates of Phrik-A and Duraplast-E. The Phrik-A has been molecularly compressed to form much stronger and more numerous covalent bonds making the metal itself heavier and more dense, but also more stable and strong. This makes the metal able to take rounds from even Class-D disruptors and hold together, with an added layer of Duraplast-E to increase the armor's resistances to other forms of damage found commonly on the battlefield. This all in all makes for an extreme layer of protection against many active threats on the battlefield and it is also here that many of the tech is also added onto the suit. This includes the Raven, Luft, Wind Talker and Panoptes systems making this the meat of where all of the technology is in the suit. And to top all of this protection off is a top of the line Svalinn Shield Generator, giving the operator of this suit a premium energy shield to reinforce its already stellar protections.

In short all of this turns what was once a simple infantry dismount in urban combat, into a flying tank that can absolutely devastate and destroy whatever is in front of it. And then it will take off and fly through the air to locate its next target, to rinse and repeat. This thing is intended to be the ultimate force multiplier in any fight, especially in urban zones. It gives your soldiers all of the tools and options they could possibly need in a fight to win. And with the adaptability and customization options to allow for it to perform whatever specialists duties your infantry might fulfill it makes that more lethal. Call in artillery and air support with laser guided precision. Massacre enemy tanks with all of the anti-tank weapons and explosives you can carry. Coordinate friendly squads, tanks, and support units with a tactical command and control relay. Suppress and then destroy the enemy with a rapid fire grenade volleys from your grenade launcher. Be the mobile suppression unit with a medium machine gun and all the rounds you can carry. This suit can do it all. Which leaves one final question to be answered.

Are you ready to rock?

The Monster The Monster

First off I want to applaud you, this is a very impressive armour submission you've put together here. However, before we go forward there is something we need to address, namely the resistance ratings.

These are very very difficult to understand for someone just looking at it and it will need to be cleaned up so it's more easily understandable.

From what I understand you have balanced each aspect of the armour, from the bodyglove to the main armour to the shield, however, it would be best to break the submission up into multiple separate ones. As it currently stands it is both unclear as to the damage required to defeat your defences and also if it cumulative in use. For example, if you are attacked by an electricity wielding opponent, would an extreme attack break through your defences, or a very high one? Or would it need to be a rating above Extreme?

This is why most armour submission that have shields and an undersuit only have the one set of resistances because the resistances are seen as the cumulative total of the elements of the armour.

John Locke John Locke Thank you much I appreciate hearing that!

So for the point in question I decided to do each piece in detail with the overall ratings at the end of each line showing what the overall rating was. This allows for each piece to have it's own strengths and weaknesses as a part of the overall system. I did this showcasing that each layer has strengths and weaknesses, with the overall at the end being the average protective capacity. If someone is worried that the protection is cumulative then I will dispell that now, as that would be a clear attempt to circumvent factory rules. The protections only show what they highest protection value is period, using radiation for example. If the shields are up on this sub, radiation has a very high protection. This means the wearer has very high protection. Period. If the shields are down, the wearer has only at most a high protection value. Same for kinetic and energy weapons. If someone can specifically target the undersuit (which is possible while shields are down) they would find very low resistances.

My main reasoning for having this all together is so that I can be totally transparent with factory judges and people who like to either GM/PvP. If this is unsatisfactory I will separate the modules and go back to having as separate subs. It was never nor is my intention to purposely make a FJ's job difficult, I only wish to be honest and upfront with what I'm attempting to accomplish.

John Locke John Locke Upon further review I have decided to take this back and separate it into separate submissions, if you could be so kind as to move it to pre-factory so I may continue to edit this sub and get each piece from it necessary in order to separate and better define each armor piece.
