Extreme. Life in this Galaxy exists through the Force. It is not itself evil, it falls into the hands of those who wielding it. Would you call a knife evil just because someone can use it to kill?

[member="Rai Seren"] And yet, the Force is not a knife. The Force is a supernatural entity with a will and a mind of its own. Isn't it said that there are no coincidences where the Force is involved and that everything follows the will of the Force?

Plus, life doesn't need the Force. Ysalamiri, Yuuzhan Vong and Force dead people are doing just fine without it.

That is the belief of some. Not the belief at all, and never proven.

I'm not a Jedi. They're just as bad as the Sith. I am a Je'daii.

Frivolous titles for an arcane and idealistic belief followed by few and even fewer individuals that abide by it properly. Whether you hold true and steadfast to those ideals remains to be seen lest the Light tempts you or the Dark consumes you.

This coming from someone of no import who adheres to philosophies developed as a result of an encounter with a now deceased species. You and the Jedi alike are responsible for the sorry state of this Galaxy we live in.

[member="Rai Seren"] No, that's the Force. The Force is responsible. As for conflict, well conflict is the natural state of the universe. Life exists because the second bacteria to evolve, ate the first. Peace is stagnation and stagnation is extinction. So, we Sith are doing the galaxy a favor with all this war. Its the Jedi who are evil, because their way imposes stagnation. The Jedi are the enemy of life.

No, people are responsible. People like you who deny their responsibility for the things that happen in this Galaxy and blame it on the Force instead.

Stagnation? You think peace means stagnation? You think peace will eliminate natural disasters or extra-galactic incursions? You think peace will eliminate disease or homicidal tendencies? Give me a break. There will never be the opportunity for stagnation, even if peace is obtained.

[member="Rai Seren"] Peace is a lie. And yes, it would breed stagnation, for without continuous war, the galaxy would become weak and unprepared for whatever horror crawls next from intergalactic space.

Wrong. Only weak leaders would allow that. Peace does not create weak leaders.

And peace is not a lie. It just hasn't been achieved yet.

[member="Rai Seren"] Peace creates the weakest of leaders, for without war, without conflict and purpose, there is no strength, only complacency. As for the fact that peace has not been achieved yet, it is proof of the fact that peace is a lie, a utopian dream which, like all utopias, is nothing more than a delusion that can never be achieved.

Your Sith is showing. Dealing in absolutes is a worthless cause. If then must statements are fine in theory but rarely useful in practice. It might be nice for you to say that's the case, but you can't know it's the case because the opportunity for it hasn't existed.

It's not an absolute. Want to know why? Because we know there are extra-galactic races and because we know that even if peace was achieved there will always be people who resent it. Absolute peace is impossible, which is exactly why your note of stagnation is improbable. Which takes me back to the initial argument that the problem is not the Force, it's how people use it. It's the same with a government. The problem isn't the military force, it's how it is used.
